“What kind of god would tell you to kill somebody, because you don’t believe in their god?” Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Do these people realize that the Christians, Muslims, and Jews, all worship the same god??? On top of that lets talk about the crusades, or Salem witch trials. And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Complete Ignorance!!! These abominations give Christianity a bad name, and I am ashamed of them. This is DEFINITELY not how Jesus would have handled such a situation. Do they not realize that Christians and Muslims have the same God? Even similar beliefs on Jesus en.wikipedia.org... It's a crying shame that so much disagreement and hatred can result from a few differences in interpretation! This man is entitled to his freedom of religion and worship just as I am (and very thankful for that), and I love this man just as much as I love my Christian brothers and sisters. This is not what Christianity is about, and I feel that these Christians behaved in such a way due to their fears of Islam. This does not warrant hatred! As Christians, we are all compelled to bring others to our religion, to be saved by the blood of Jesus. But, we should not throw it in people's faces!

Though under the First Amendment, the Muslim guy has the right, ( again under our BOR ), to kneel and pray. However, the Jesus Nuts also have that same right, to either pray, or voice their opinions. But what I find admirable in one sense, and one sense only, is the fact that these Jesus nuts, were identifying what our politicians seem to overlook. That the Muslim faith is predominantly not welcome. Killing your family because they were to " Westernized " doesn't sound much like a religion most common sense having people would even think about embracing?

Many of the founding fathers were not religious, possibly atheist. Including Jefferson, he actually rewrote the bible to only include things that were attributed to Jesus. "Jefferson's Bible" that was considered taboo at the time. Also many people think Lincon was at least an agnostic.

Not that I care if they were or not, but if you read Founding America, Documents from the Revolution to the Bill of Rights, would suggest otherwise. It has all the letters to congress from almost all of the Founding fathers in their entirety, that would suggest your above quote is questionable at best.

You can find good and bad in every religion, it depends on what you want to take out of it. Violence and intolerance in the name of religion is disgusting.

To be quite frank, they would not give a crap about religion, if they were to see the sad state of our government. religion is just another freedom that is slowly being eroded by the men we have put in charge. As to this video, the man has a right to pray at the capitol, and the protesters have a right to protest. I wish they would think it through before doing it however. It is a lot like the Westminster Baptist Church, they make the whole of Christianity look like hypocrites. I do not have an issue with the teachings of Jesus, it is the way they are tought.

Our founding fathers were not religious men. Like politicians of today they would speak just enough on the subject to sound christian. In colonial times, several pastors tried to get George Washington to speak specifically on being a believer and he would never do it. Ben Franklin was a member of the hellfire club which practiced all sorts of debauchery.

What about Fundamentalist Latter-Day Saints? Highly conservative Christians believe women should stay at home and raise kids. How is that any different?
