Agreed not good. But this pales in comparison compared to how people in Islamic countries who are not muslim are treated. The recent Pakistani example springs to mind. But again I agree not good! I suppose this just goes to prove that all religions are ............. disgusting!

You dont have a clue about Sharia Court in the UK, stop trying to sell it like what goes on in Afghanstan under the Taliban or Iran... not the same thing

What proof do you have to back up this statement Boondock.

the Muslim's shoes are patent leather.
They are made out of mutilated cowhide.
Cows are forbidden under the Quran
as an unclean animal. And their remains
cannot be used for dressing purposes.
A true Muslim would know this, but a
person with an agenda probably would not.

like I said, this is a staged event.

pay attention to details folks

Sharia Law Uk-I have enough of a clue my freind, some of Sharia law has been allowed into the Justice system in the form of arbitration courts and providing both parties agree, full Sharia law will never be accepted and I do not have to back up anything, check for yourself.

This is from your link and shows how Sharia and Jewish courts operate in the UK, it looks like jewish courts have been operating longer than the Muslim courts but no one seemed to care.

So what kind of Sharia are we talking about in the UK?
The key issues are family law, finance and business. In practice many Muslims do turn to Sharia guidance for many of these day-to-day matters, particularly family disputes.
And how does this work in practice?
Muslims are increasingly looking to the example of Jewish communities which have long-established religious community courts.
These "courts" are legally recognised in English law as a means for warring parties to agree to arbitration. The law sees this as a practical way of helping people to resolve their differences in their own way, without clogging up the local courts.
But what about incorporating Sharia into British law?
In two important areas British law has incorporated religious legal considerations. British food regulations allow meat to be slaughtered according to Jewish and Islamic practices - a touchstone issue for both communities.
Secondly, the Treasury has approved Sharia-compliant financial products such as mortgages and investments. Islam forbids interest on the basis that it is money unjustly earned. These products are said by supporters to meet the needs of modern life in a way that fits the faith.

But like I stated full Sharia law would not be implemented here, death penalty and mutilation as punishment does not exist in our law as a punishment.

But no one apart from nutters like Ahmed Choudry are advocating such things. It's never going to happen because there are only 2 million muslims compared to 60 odd million who dont want sharia. Surely we should let the muslims have their courts if the jews have theirs? or is it one rule for one and not the other?

No one trampled his liberty, you do not have a right to make others shut up.

A gay couple demonstrates affection in public, and you are saying
the law allows others to harass them ? really ? and this would not
be a hate crime ?
. . . I smell a two faced lizard

you avoided answering the question *Lol*
. . . so a gay couple gets harassed for being gay and
you are saying that there is no Constitution or laws to say that
this would be a hate crime ?
You are lying if you say that there isn't.
But tell us why it would/should be otherwise if it
involved a Muslim rather than a gay person ?
or if it involved a Chinese person rather than a gay person ?
Waiting for your answer

well, then....let me take this opportunity to provide the answer for you.

as has been said here in a way that most folks understand, rights clarified/codified our constitutional system allow anybody to express themselves and have the opportunity for free speech, regardless of status, religion, etc.

However, rights clarified/codified our constitutional system DO NOT ensure that other private citizens will unconditionally accept and be required to respect the message one imparts in his / her free speech activities.

to use your "gay" example, two homos (let's call them Ace and Gary) could walk down the street in a rural south Alabama town, hand in hand, wearing assless leather chaps, nipple rings, kissing and tonguing each other and yelling "We are gay and proud!" and be completely supported by the First Amendment.

however, those First Amendment assurances DO NOT in any way ensure or mandate that other citizens will accept or respect the smooching Ace and Gary in their assless chaps. In fact, the codifications and assurances that protect the rights for free expression of our smooching homo friends ALSO ensures and protects the rights of Bubba and LeRoy, the two toothless redneck hicks sitting over there on the corner who want to proclaim their disgust for the prancing and mincing homos.

Bubba's and LeRoy's First Amendment assurances even support their right to make gigantic picket signs that say "GOD HATES FAGS" and "AIDS IS A GIFT FROM HEAVEN". This right has again and again been reinforced by the US Supreme Court, most recently a couple of days agon in Syder v. Phelps, the reaffiming landmark case decided a couple of days ago about the Westboro Baptist Church:

Speech is powerful. It can stir people to action, move them to tears of both joy and sorrow, and—as it did here—inflict great pain. On the facts before us, we cannot react to that pain by punishing the speaker. As a Nation we have chosen a different course—to protect even hurtful speech on public issues to ensure that we do not stifle public debate. That choice requires that we shield Westboro from tort liability for its picketing in this case.

So, I hope this makes the issue clear for you. Ace, Gary, Bubba and LeRoy are all afforded equal protection to exclaim their stances on an endless variety of issues in a mostly endless variety of ways, regardless of the ridiculousness or idiocy of their positions.

Our muslim friends, however, live under a different set of rules and expectations. If Ace and Gary were prancing and smooching down the street in a Swat Valley hamlet, Ahmed, Muhammed and Ali would likely express their consternation about their homo behavior by tying Ace and Gary up, beating them senseless, and then hacking their heads off with a rusty bayonet. Because Allah says that it is good and righteous to treat your infidel enemy that way.

I would cherish the opportunity to hear your thoughts.

Dumb *snip* religious people.

Jesus is incredibly important to the Islamic faith. Islam respects Jesus more so than that of Judaism. Then you have all these clueless Christian people chanting "Jesus!" "Jesus!" "Jesus!" "Jesus!" The funny thing is; that Muslim man respects Jesus more than the people chanting Jesus' name! Brainwashed, stupid.. mainstream Christians! I call these Christians.. commercial Christians that educate themselves from the Christian late night infomercials.

Interesting video clip. Clearly, the Christians were already assembled for a rally. Did the man begin to pray in the midst of this rally for a reason? Was it even prayer time? What was written on the back of his jacket? The man got the reaction that he was seeking. Perhaps, the rally goers should have just ignored him and turned the other cheek.

The path to religious tolerance is a two way street. However, the RADICAL element of Islam only sees it as one way. They want Islam and Shariah for all.

The US as a whole embraces all religions and beliefs on its land and around the world. This is what has made our nation so great throughout its history. Unfortunately, the rules of engagement are changing everyday . The harder the radical Muslims push, the harder the radical Christians will push back. On and on it goes.

what is morally right does not and should not and can not be allowed to factor into the discussion at hand. when we start trying to apply a moral facet in the examination of a man's/woman's rights as a sovereign citizen, we risk denying those people their constitutionally assured rights.

this is what was very clearly stated and reinforced in the syder decision last week. morality has NO PLACE in examination of free speech/expression cases.

if morality was an issue, then it might someday be OK for Ahmed, LeRoy, bubba and Ali to hack the heads off of ace and gary, because homo behavior is "immoral" to them.

These are not christians. Not like the christians i know. And also the new rules replaced the old ones. Now salvation through jesus christ is all that you need. The old testament is really just for historical purposes. It gives us a history of mankind and the ordeals we went through. It also shows how much god loves us that he would sacrifice himself to save us. That's a bit of mental time travel. To understand the bible you have to read it all, but to know jesus is a lot simpler.

My heart hurts for the Muslim man in the video being interrupted during his prayers...but my heart hurt worse to see that group of parasitic religious fanatic excuses for human beings who believe their "god" is the "ONLY" one worth believing in. They are the kind of misguided fools that have caused wars, hatred, and inquisitions over the history of the world.

Organized religion breeds fanatic behaviour in ALL that are too weak to realize that each day they live is a tribute to the Creator in the way they react and treat their fellow human beings. These people will definitely learn that their actions will come back to them times three.

Yes, they are exercising their rights of free speech...but there are limits to what is tasteful and just plain tasteless!

Bet the Muslim guy forgives them...but he won't forget their actions.
What is sick is not the religions, it's when people justify violence and murder in the name of god. That's what's at issue here. Nobody is condoning what the "christians" are doing in this video. There're many so called christians in america who claim to worship god and follow his rules but do not. And there're many people who claim islam as their religion and that peace is their mission who in reality have only violence and murder on their minds. We have to discriminate the right and wrong.

This video both saddens me and angers me. Allow me to rant for a few. I find this display of hate to be so typical of Christians as most are arrogant, pompous a$$e$, and absolutely ignorant as to the teachings of other religions. However, I am not shocked by this video as it seems that Christians have been violently spreading their brand of religion for thousands of years.

At one time I was also one of those who were ignorant about Islam, knowing only what the MSM taught. I am an RN at a large hospital here in NE Ohio. My unit manager came to me one day and asked if I would be interested in teaching a nurse from Jordan. He was here on a scholarship and was earning his PhD in nursing. Jordan sends their nurses to the US to earn their PhD, all paid for, if they agree to return to Jordan and teach.

At first I was hesitant, not knowing what to expect, but ultimately agreed. For 6 months he and I worked side-by-side. He would take time out several times each day to pray, and I began to ask him questions about Islam and he would gladly answer them for me. I grew to like and respect him deeply, and would get upset when coworkers or patients would judge him for the simple fact that he was Islamic. I found him to be very kind and caring, and I had an immense amount of respect for how devoted he was to his religion.

At the end of his time here he thanked me and presented me with a gift. It was a copy of the Quran translated into English. I have read it and found it to be a very interesting. It has certainly opened my eyes. He and I still maintain contact today and I consider myself very blessed to have a friend like him.

I believe that Christians are the hateful and intolerant ones, and this video is but a small glimpse into that hatred.

In my opinion Gandhi summed it up best when he said:
"I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Can anyone imagine a president of the US having islam as his religion?

It seems impossible.

Why is it that religions are often associated with particular countries?

Have we ever had an atheist president?
