When the couple left their vehicle at the stop sign and went looking around the cemetery, what happened? Was there a traffic build-up? It's '8:30 a.m.' and no rush hour?

I'm picturing two abandoned vehicles in the road.

Have you left any details out?

What you witnessed may have been a juvenile bigfoot as someone else suggested. Although a lot of people are now skeptical because of the whole Georgia Bigfoot hoax a couple of years ago, they do exist there. Here is one report that you may find interesting. Note the mention of a conical-shaped head with what you witnessed as something hood shaped.

Just "wow" to the OP. What a story and I totally believe you. I know you said the cemetary is very old but I was just wondering if there is any chance there may have been a recent burial, or pending one?

...and I think I noted in the email from the other witness that they saw it come up out of something? (sorry, I don't want to lose what I am typing to go back and check) Just wondering what kind of caves are in your area, if any. Hope you are all doing ok...including your pooch.

Wow thats crazy, I could imagine how you felt. I remember back on vocation last year, we were playing more of a 'hide and seek' game so you could say. We were a bit old, but hey there were also kids

Anyways, it was night out and we rented a cabin surrounded by other cabins and cottages. Well kind of, it had dirt roads around which was covered by Forrest, and it was beside a beach. Anyways, we were running near our cabin on a dirt path and there were tree's all around of course. There were no lights on the dirt road so it was really, really dark and the cottage next to us had a lot of tree's and there was no one there. We were walking along the path silently, to not get caught, and we heard a noise in the bush. It was probably 15-20 meters away. I flashed the flashlight there and the noise kept on going and going, and I could see the bush and tree move. This tree was probably 5 stories high and it was too big for a raccoon or skunk to move. It was really creepy, I had an uneasy feeling and didn't know if I should go there or back off.

Was really expecting it to come towards us lol
I walked in about 2 meters but it got too scary because I didn't know what it was. For all I know, it could have been a bear and thats it for me
Now if I saw it and it wasn't an animal and something I never seen, I'd probably know what its like. I remember later on we ran because I threw a stick and the noise got louder lol. I went to my friends cottage, and it was about 1AM so I went back to my Cabin and I heard the noise all the way to where my cabin was, which was probably 60 meters away from the tree. I ended up running into my door because I thought I unlocked it -.-

But yeah, whatever it was, it would have probably felt how you were and I could probably imagine it. It really does make you wonder

Hey there girl_interrupted,

I think you may have caught a rare glimpse of a netherworld entity ... in spite of there appearence they are actually guardians (from demonic entities) which would make sense for you to catch site of one in a cemetary.

These entities are small cloaked figures known as 'Genii Cucullati' ... and they usually work in three's.

My team and I (I run W.I.S.P.S a private paranormal investigation team) have had indirect dealings with these entities in a case we were working on last year ... prior to that I had never heard of them.

Sunday night before last (late at night), I was traveling on the freeway at a steady 60mph. with a car in the same lane about 1 1/2 car lengths ahead of me and a ford 150 pickup in the other lane, which would be in front of me if it was in my lane.

what I saw next astounded me!

While watching the car in front of me, I saw something brown dart in front of the car, like 'maybe' a foot before it, but it was a brown blur so I couldn't make out exactly what it was. The car in front tapped the brakes in natural reaction as I SAW this blur race across the ENTIRE 2 lane freeway with traffic going 60mph and was missed by the 150 pickup...and he tapped his brakes in response to what he saw as well~!!!

How is that possible!!!!?????

If it was an animal would have been hit by the pick-up even so because that would mean the blur would have to be going faster than 60mph to miss the passenger's car wheel AND the pickup!!!

I have seen them almost every night when I was young, they would come and stand by my bed and basicly... terrorize me you could say. Sometimes a shadow person would stand on the side of my bed just staring at me, other times it would grab me and shake me.

These things are very real. Search up on it if you are interested in finding out what it was that you saw because you are not the only one that has seen it! They are an occuring phenomenon all over the world... I could give a longer post, but as I have little time right now, I'm just giving you this short, significant reply. And I bet that if you put a camera at the same place where you saw the shadow figure, and let it record one night, i can guarantee that you will get "it" on tape, and I actually suggest you do it if you can, you will not regret it. Because they appear on 1 place everytime. They have their own thing going...

This is what I imagine (these are figurines, but gives u an idea) one of the top 5 scariest movies i've seen!

I just remembered something that my grandmother told me about once. It happened probably around 17 years ago and sounds a tiny bit similar to what happened to you. I know it wont give you any answers, but I'll share it just in case it brings back any details or maybe reminds someone else of something that may be able to give you further answers.

My grandmother was staying at her brother's house for a few days because he had just passed away, so she was staying with his wife and a few other family members. If my memory serves me correctly, he had passed away at home, earlier that day. That night, several members of the family were sitting around talking when a black, robed figure seemed to just jump up out of the floor and landed with an "oomph" sound. My grandmother, being the extremely religious person she is, jumped up out of her chair and chased it, rebuking it in the name of Jesus. She's MAJOR religious, so anything she doesn't understand, she automatically assumes to be evil and demonic. Anyway, she said it ran THROUGH the front door and was gone. She tried to open the front door to go out, but it wouldn't open. The lock was literally locked in place and wouldn't unlock for anything. They called one of my cousins to come up and try to open the door, but he couldn't unlock it either. They ended up having to beat the lock and door knob out of the door in order to get it open.

Now, I don't know how big the thing was that she saw, but it happened in the presence of several other people. She did say that it moved very fast. I'm kind of surprised that I didn't think of this when I first read your OP. What reminded me of it was when someone asked in a previous post if there had been a new or pending burial at the cemetery. Maybe there is a relation with these sightings and the recently deceased??? I have no idea.

My grandmother's memory is starting to go a bit, but I'll see if I can get any more details out of her. She hasn't spoken of it to me since it happened, but I'm sure she still remembers a few things. If I find out anything new, I'll be sure to post it.

A similiar incident happened to me when I was young boy.A cemetary was involved;although the thing I saw or shall I say,we saw,was rather tall and hairy.Me,my brother and cousin were heading back from a local fair not far from our house.Well we decided to take a short cut through the cemetary and the field to the house.As I had approached the edge of the woods I saw this thing that looked as if it were cloaked,kind of like the movie predator,coming out of the woods at me.Well long story short we hauled butt back towards the fairgrounds and watched down the hill when we noticed a creature of some sort standing in the field about 2oo hundreds yards away.It was very tall,I'd say around 7 ft or so,hairy and very still.It was wierd.

I don't know, I wouldn't want to be buried if this is the creature hanging out in the grave yard. Why would an evil creature be hanging out at a grave yard? Would souls be hanging out there? They would be stuck in their mortal bodies. Make dying a bit more uncomfortable of a thought...
