hmmmm, majority rule is no better than what have now unless that majority decides to leave everyone alone, but that wouldn't be a "rule" now would it?

And thanks to organizations like SPLC and ADL, those "lone gunmen" have suddenly morphed into "lone wolf domestic extremists", aka veterans, constitutionalists, conspiracy theorists, patriots, tax protesters, free speech advocates, Ron Paul supporters and anyone else who's opposed to the planned globalist destruction of America....

Actually I was talking about JF Kennedy being killed by a "Lone gunman" YEAH right, A gun man PAID for by the Elite more likely!

Proto,

Once again, another great, though-provoking thread.

I'd like to give my take on some of the recent events that have transpired, and perhaps add my own theories as to what is happening.

The revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, and now Libya all have a common denominator: ruthless and/or corrupt leaders that have/had no cares about the citizens that they lead. The people that finally had the guts to stand up and fight these evil people obviously used the internet in some capacity to organize and mobilize. Even when the internet was shut down, people still found other ways to communicate. However, the message stayed the same: Freedom for the people. What would have taken many months fifty years ago, took only a matter of days in today's world.

The Internet is truly the great equalizer. Instant communications across the globe, enabling people to share ideas, values, breaking news, etc. While there will always be a spin on anything we access on the internet (look at ATS...I see it as a microcosm of the greater world at large), the unifying factor of freedom for all men and women is slowly being absorbed by people who haven't tasted the type of freedom that many first world nations take for granted.

Naturally, as conspiracy theorists (both amateur and "professional") we want to see a conspiracy in everything. Somewhere in the back of my head I'm wondering to myself if these revolutions were an orchestrated set-up for a much larger conflict. Being that the Middle East has been in and out of conflict for a millennium or more, these events that are transpiring wouldn't have set off my "radar" if it weren't for the fact that there are so many other events in the world that have been surfacing in previous months. Of course, this could lead to connecting dots that don't exist, but it's hard not to think about.

Even as North Korea threatens to attack again on the eve of more drills between the SK and US Naval Forces, and even as more people are being slaughtered in Libya, I would have to say that a WWIII involving any sort of military power (or god forbid, nuclear power) should only be referenced as an afterthought. The leaders of today know just how much damage could be done by one nuke flying over the airspace of a rival country. People in power don't like to lose power, and a M.A.D scenario would be the last thing that any leader in the world would want, even 'Lil Kim. If anything, WWIII will be fought with information (as in the case of Julian Assange and Wikileaks), and with cyber attacks from organizations like Anonymous. There will be no major war fought with weapons. The war will be fought with information, economic starvation, and perhaps even civil war.

It is in this last scenario that I worry the most. Civil War looms on Libya: Pro-Gadhafi vs. Anti-Gadhafi. In a country that is already in a volatile state, this would only serve to further divide the populous and eliminate more innocent life in the process. What caused this division? Are we being told the whole truth by media sources? What could be in it for the Western Societies? For those of us in the US, we have all noticed a huge increase in the prices at the pump since Libya began their revolution. As we all know, gasoline and diesel is used in the transportation of goods, or more importantly, food. I have personally noticed a sharp increase in the amount of money I pay for groceries every week (and this is after switching to fresh produce and lean meats, which, one would think, would be cheaper than buying canned or junk food). Other family members have noticed the same thing, and it's even been mentioned in passing on the local news in my area. Without digressing any further, I'll get to the point I'm trying to make:

What would it take for the same things to happen in the U.S. or any other Western Nation? I can tell you that after a few missed meals due to the price of food, people would start getting angry and begin looking for ways to feed themselves and their families. This could potentially lead to looking at Washington (or the capital of the Western Country of your choice) for the answers. This could lead to a small group of arrests at first (people shoplifting for a pound of rice or what have you), up to widespread looting if the situation got bad enough. Given the nature of the internet in our country, this could lead to more and more hotspots of looting and dog-eat-dog type violence. Civil War could only come next, as there will be those that will defend the Government with their final breaths while others will fight to topple the corrupt government. This, of course, is the worse case scenario, and perhaps another divide and conquer tactic. The left vs. right paradigm has gotten out of hand in the past 12 months, and quite frankly, I'm getting sick of it.

My questions are many: Have these revolutions happened in the Middle East because the people are truly seeking change? Have they happened because some sort of organization that is controlled by TPTB contributed to them? Have they happened because humanity is going under a paranormal shift of consciousness? Or have they happened, as you have suggested, by the internet used as the ultimate propaganda tool?

I can answer at least one of my questions on my own. I believe that these revolutions have happened because these people have gotten sick and tired of being ruled by despots, corrupt politicians, and downright jackwagons. Of course, this is only my opinion, and I like to think that people in this world can still think for themselves, but TPTB make it so easy to second guess oneself at every turn.

Overall, I think that what is happening right now in the Middle East will eventually spread to other nations, whether it be caused by a rise in food costs, realizing that they are getting a "raw deal," or because (as you have suggested) they are being influenced by TPTB media.

I hope I got all my points across in my ramblings. I really had to take the time to think about everything before I posted, and sometimes I have a hard time translating what is going on in my brain to a format that other people can understand.

Thanks again for the thought-provoking post.

Peace be with you.

Well, I am under the opinion that with enough power vacuums in place, a very dangerous and charismatic leader might take charge. This could be likened to the anti-christ, or NWO, or whatever. I made this point before... what is going to happen after the protesting?

I think the 2012 date and the global consciousness shift are definitely part of the story. The events in the past decade and the fact that things are playing out as they are in 2011 are much too coincidental. What is the global consciousness shift?

One answer is that it has to do with the progression of the ages, each age with a prophet and a new way of thinking. We are leaving the Age of Pisces and entering the Age of Aquarius.

Yet another answer has to do with the fact that the Bible predicts the coming of the anti-Christ around this time period, which, once again would fit with the New Age rhetoric as well, just from a different perspective, if that makes sense.

This gets a little complicated. One way for this to play itself out is for the New Age Movement to be a trick that turns into a suppressive government and enslavement of the human race because people have turned over their responsibilities to the government and left their families, relationships, religions and cultures for momentary gain only to discover that this leads to easy enslavement. In this case, there would be another revolution, toppling the reign of terror that results, leading to a real new age movement and possibly more tribal lifestyle world-wide around 2030.

There is also the possibility that the shift in consciousness (which is definitely real) leads to a positive lifestyle for everyone after a more imminent world war lets out the negative potential energy and allows for restructuring of the mass human psyche.

The New Age quantum theorist believing in the multiple universe interpretation might say that all possibilities will happen and it is up to you to decide which one you want to experience.

No matter what, I think that the New Age Movement and new level of consciousness plays a part in this. In order to see what I mean, try watching movies from different generations and seeing how people think differently. If you have a photographic memory, try remembering how you thought during those periods, and you should come to the conclusion that our thinking has become much less and less temporal and more in the moment, especially with the advent of the internet.

What a fantastic post! I have been a casual reader of ATS for a long time, though I only took the time to register last year. Seldom did I respond to threads, as rarely would I find the quality of debate I was seeking... so many repetitive, demi-generic threads which were fueled by emotion and/or badly researched, if not nonsensical. I hate to focus on negatives, so with the feeling I was getting on this site, I stopped reading shortly after signing up. Only this past month or so did I begin taking the time to check the site once again.

The OP, and a few subsequent posters have restored my faith, with solid, fact-based viewpoints and some excellent referencing. There is an avalanche of mis/disinformation overwhelming ATS at times, but on this occaision I am reminded of what brought me here in the first place. If only all opening posts were so well thought out.

"World War III will be a guerilla information war, with no division between military and civilian participation."

This is precisely why my threads are focused on information security, integrity and transmission.

This is an information warfare scenario, with propaganda, psy-ops, digital technologies. Problem is the average person just checks facebook and their email and doesn't know anything about information technology. If you give me a laptop and I connect to a public wifi...I could potentially hack into all the computers that were connected into the same router. Yes I know how to do it. Don't ask. Most people just send email, but dont know that unless the connection says "https" that their email is virtually readable by anyone executing a man in the middle attack.

Once on a another forum i was using PGP signatures to sign my post and people accused me of being paranoid and crazy. Just goes to show you the ignorance the average person has.

Information warfare my friends. Read my threads to stay ahead of the ball.

The other day i was posting on a forum and look at the attacks:

Capture their minds and their hearts and souls will follow - Psyop quote.

We were as hypnotized by the enemy's propaganda as a rabbit is by a snake. General Eric Von Ludendorf, German General Staff, 1918
www.psywarrior.com...

The more I research this stuff the more I am convinced that there are no surprise revolutions going on. I believe they were engineered and I believe it is only the tip of the iceberg unfortunately. We will see more and more of them.

Information Age communication-technologies ring the bell of propaganda age in an attack on the infobody, the shared presuppositions and myths of the rival and conflicting parts of the social system. The growth of communication tools, the dramatically accelerated flow of persuasive communication through the manipulation of symbols and basic human emotions is not only a system to entertain and inform, but to inject individuals with the values, beliefs, and codes of behavior, the Integration through Psychological Media into the social body.

We see how the mainstream news will play on our emotions and make us come to a conclusion unwittingly. The psychological media in television is huge. There is now psychological media being presented for us on the internet as well. This media will persuade and manipulate in much greater ways though.

Hyper state control mechanisms convey ideas that guide the focus of attention through language. Whatever you fix your attention on, you get more of. When subjects focus their attention, they have less of it left for external sensory stimuli as words paint pictures in their mind. The frame of perception influences meaning and the success of hypnotic induction. Hyper state control is a means of heightening motivation by programming the subconscious mind to work in active cooperation with implanted conscious desires and is therefore extremely effective in helping to create behavior modification.

Can we be hypnotized by reading the propaganda that is now automatically and systematically being unleashed through the internet? The pen is mightier than the sword, quoted by author Edward Bulwer-Lytton 1839 for his play Richelieu; Or the Conspiracy. Funny isn't it? That Richelieu translates to the Conspiracy I mean. The term is more true today then ever.

Department of Psychology chairman at Colgate University, Dr. Estabrooks, one of the most authoritative sources stirring up fear of mind-controlled sixth columnists in wartime USA stated, "Only a people who refuse to permit themselves to sink into intellectual lethargy and conformity, only a people who question and think . . . can be sure that hypnosis--disguised or direct--will not undermine their freedom and rob them of their very lives."

That guy was quite the character. He was famous for hypnoprogramming U.S. government agents during World War II. He also is quoted as saying, "I can hypnotize a man -- without his knowledge or consent -- into committing treason against the United States." Why in the world would he say that?

Information is flowing faster than most people feel they can absorb or acquire the additional information needed to make decisions and to be able to control the outcome. This situation provides the ground for Electronic Warfare, tactical deception and Psychological Operations. To distinguish between information and propaganda becomes virtually impossible..

Well I can certainly agree with that one. I am inclined to believe that this particular conundrum was engineered. They knew that this would be the case because our technology rapidly increases every year becoming faster and faster and able to supply more and more.

Infobody Biofeedback Modulation - Most individual social entities are not well equipped to complete complex tasks, but function well in the context of a social body as a macro-organismic insect population. Individuals might not be able to follow a coherent thought but they are perfectly able to make highly complex calculations regarding social status in respect to dress-codes, facial expression or nuances in language, by using their instinct and being imbedded in a supraintelligent biosystem. This model is in widespread use, although a part of the game is to pretend it is not.

Ah yes, the social status card. The masks we wear and the roles we play. It's all really intriguing and I knew that social status and the like were being used to manipulate and control. Strangely enough, I never addressed the issue and kept wearing the mask anyway.

Intelligent Pandemonium - Autonomous software application systems are called "Agents" or "Demons". The term demon is appropriate as digital demons are not directly controlled by a master program but rather invoked into actions by changes in their environment. Demons can form computational societies with autopoietic lifelike behaviors similar to insect colonies or other social systems. Just as in the traditional form, the digital demons are at once independent and programmed to respond to certain cues in specific situations and environments. Like their stellar counterparts they can serve or control. (Classic demonology lists an endless series of divisions where demons mediate the complexity of supercelestial information.)

Could this be referring to the nifty programs that we just now found out about? The above was written in 2002. That's nine years ago. We know that they stay well ahead of the current technology that we are exposed to.

Manipulation Patterns - Social influence programs seek to induce reaction, obedience with as little thought as possible in the target audience. Impulse for action comes directly from the depths of the unconscious and using deep persuasion is the instrument to attain this effect. The transformation of language as an instrument of the mind into symbols directly evoking feelings and reflexes, where words become "pure sound," is a deliberate devaluation of thought as the basic condition of the social organization causing serious dissociations. One of the most intriguing influences from outside of our awareness is subliminal psychodynamic activation. The "mere exposure effect" of an only marginally perceptible stimulus, also known as subliminal perceptual priming, is the effect on our preferences of a briefly flashed picture in a forced choice test. Especially as reinforcement, variations of the mere exposure effect have been demonstrated to activate emotional centers of the brain, without awareness.

Social influence programs? I wonder if this is referring to an actual computer program or a program initiated by a group of people? Given the times I would guess a computer program.

Memory States - Once the perceptual information is forgotten, subjects retain information only about the meaning or interpretation. People tend to have relatively good memory for meaningful interpretations of information. This implies that when people are confronted with some material to remember it will facilitate their memory if they can place some meaningful interpretation on it. Mnemonic memory enhancement is using imagery keyword methods use of mental imagery, method of loci by associating items to be learned with a series of locations, and other strategies of organizing memory in chunks of narrative visualization.

Not sure where to go with that one. It sure seems scary though. I wonder how far gone we really are at this point?

Perceptive Expectations - Patterns of expectation are placing relevance in modes of interpretation. The idea of being influenced only by the facts rather than by preconceived notions is naive for there is no such thing as "facts". There is only a very selective subset of an overall mass of data. Being subjected to this subset allows one to classify and judge the relevance to the question at issue.

Well there it is again. There is no such thing as facts. Funny how there is only an overall mass of data.

Persuasive Influence - Persuasion messages are designed to arouse or stimulate needs. It must cause an action or bring about an attitude. This requires that the message tell the target how to satisfy its needs by following the course of action. In order to get the action or attitude desired, the message must, in the opinion of the target, offer the best solution (or the only logical one) toward solving the problem addressed or in fulfilling target needs.

You say you want a revolution, well you know. We all wanna change the world but if you go running with people with minds that hate all I can tell you brother is you have to wait. I think that's how it goes.

Persuasive Internalization - Education or Propaganda is the propagation of a set of beliefs. Beliefs are things known or believed to be true, as opposed to attitudes, which are evaluations of stuff that we think about. Beliefs are important precursors to both attitudes and behavior, but are often used or created after the fact to defend attitudes and behaviors we already own. It has been suggested that by merely directing thoughts to attitudes and beliefs with logical implications for one another, those attitudes and beliefs become more consistent. The term "propaganda" first documented in the early 17th century to increase church membership is now increasingly used in the sense of mass persuasion efforts manufactured by political entities that go beyond belief manipulation. Thought control methods combine compliance, persuasion, and propaganda tactics into a powerful form of coercive manipulation. Thought control that tries to replace the individual identity with another that the individual would not have freely chosen is supported by social isolation of the individual and therefore more readily accomplished in closed groups.

Yes let's all support the mob mentality. By all means we will not be the odd ones. Let's jump on the bandwagon that is sweeping the nation and the whole world!

Senso-Linguistic Infiltration Programs (SLIP) - A belief commonly accepted is that if you are reasonably well informed and educated it is easy to fend off propaganda-attacks. On the contrary, it seems that if you cannot read you are less vulnerable to propaganda and intellectuals are the best targets of Perception Management, not only for their predictable worldviews but due to their implanted feeling of being immune. To read means to decode, to be infected by a virus. Classic terminology distinguishes two fronts for the battle for human minds: the First Front of mass indoctrination through censorship and propaganda and a Second Front of individual mind control. Huge interest is placed on creating an in-formed opinion, to form public opinion as a whole by a hypnotic web of "facts" with no apparent correspondence to reality. A routine practiced by illusionists and Perception Management cognitive engineers. Psychological Consolidation Activities by Committees on Public Information target the population in order to achieve a desired behavior which supports their objectives.

I definitely fell for that one. I figured the more I know, the better I am. Not realizing that by reading, I can be infected by a virus of sorts!

Social Styling - Desensitization through language abuse, propaganda and junk-information, as well as the elimination of individual ideas through repetition of chants and phrases or the inducement of dependence by introducing sports, games or TV shows with obscure rules, are part of a large set of social styling methods. Pumping up disorientation, susceptibility to emotional arousal is increased by depriving the nervous system through special diets of junk-food, prolonging mental and physical activity and withholding rest and sleep. False intimacy is created through emotionalism and the need to belong is exploited while suppressing resistance through peer pressure. Affirmation of lifestyle by denouncing other values and beliefs combined with encouraging blind acceptance and rejection of logic is achieved through complex incomprehensible doctrine.

Man I knew that this was going on. I just couldn't find the words to convey. Now that I have them, I'm still blissfully ignorant. I like football, what can I say?

Tactical Truth - Truth projection combined with operations security, cover and deception, and psychological operations is a standard element of Perception Management and military Information Peacekeeping. The frequently quoted, "first casualty of war is truth" is to be complemented by "truth is the invention of a liar". Projecting objectivity is an important advantage for persuasive influence, constructing authoritative frameworks of reality and using the resulting evidence is a highly tactical practice for Information Dominance. This process of truth construction is boosted by establishing authoritarian belief systems. It has also been observed in mainstream media coverage that having to deal with ambiguous information or evidence seems to trigger a tendency of dramatization and exaggeration which is more rooted in a group dynamic of having to cope with high uncertainty then any rational thought process.

Alrighty then, let's be on the lookout for any authoritarian belief systems. Here again the news is mentioned as giving us uncertain information. Playing on emotions and raising anxiety.

Vast Active Living Intelligence System (VALIS) - Information has often been considered as both space and being: A living holographic information system, a Vast Active Living Intelligence System crossbanding with human hosts. The idea of a living info-space is analogous to an understanding of music as a complex spatial dynamic structure. Sound space is created through impulse patterns, rhythm, within which interactions spatially expand and interact. This harmonically structured code is then sometimes seen as triggering the influx of entities, similar to invoking demons. (Numerically structured cosmology was understood in relation to canonical proportions.)

Notice the reference to demons. Earlier the programs that were being created were referred to as demons. Here, when the harmonics of information is disrupted, it invokes the demons. All very revealing I believe. External content is from this source.

Yes I believe it could lead to a form of global shift, for instance the United Nations stepping in as a 'humanitarian' organization to help people survive with rations, medical supplies, in the break down of local government.

The centralized world body would suddenly seem very credible and valid under such a scenario and could be what they are aiming for, everyone to become so disatisfied with localized and central authority that they look to global authority for the answers.

Thanks for the kind comments, I am sure everyone working hard to put together the great sources and links in this thread appreciates them.

I consider myself quite fortunate to have teamed up with some of the best researchers on the site in past threads dealing with some of the most important subjects of the day.

I don't often find the time or the reason to write a major thread, but when I do, it often brings out some of the best and brightest members of ATS who I sure am proud to call friend.

This is an important topic that's been weighing more and more on people's minds, and I think a lot of people have bits and pieces to share, that are the things that caught their eyes and caused them concern.

Hopefully when all is said done with a little help from everyone, we will have a much better understanding of the global events and what's driving them.

Thanks so much for posting and the kind words.

I think it is something we might seriously want to consider, if you get enough governments collapsing at once the United Nations might be the big winner in all this.

They are already playing up the sanctions against Libya, I think what we have to watch for is the first country that they deploy U.N. Peacekeepers too.

If a second and third follows, then turn the lights out, the party is over.

I am not doing the dishes!
