on topic: no the sun doesn't have a friend because as far as we've been able to discern based on our observations since the beginning of our species, the sun has never shown any indication of sentience; ergo, if it isn't sentient then it can't appreciate the concept of friendship -- thus, it doesn't have a friend. to conclude, the thread title is a fallacy.

sorry can u point out where i made an apparent eclipse mistake? or are u reffering to when i sed the moon cant possibly be that close to the sun? is that what ur talking about?

the fact that i didnt state THE OBVIOUS?? yes the moon is IN LINE with sun during a solar eclispse...but NEVER behind it..and the object in the viseo looks like its behind the sun.....therefor can it possibly be the moon? no!

as there was no solar eclipse that day the video "was shot"
AAAAND the vid is a hoax...there was nothing there!

Seen this type of reflection before, pretty cool effect. This has been coverd atleast 2 times that i know of here on ats but from searching i couldn´t find those threads. Hope someone comes along and points you in the direction of those threads because they had some great explanation for it. Anyways kewl vid

Ghosting? Optical illusion? You have to be pretty ignorant to think that a planet suddenly moved into the suns domain, undetected by anyone except the guy who filmed this 1 video. Pathetic.
