Magic Spells?

I'm just wondering how you guys feel about magic. I'm talking about the harry potter magic, that you can shoot from a wand (as corny as that sounds). i'm pretty sure everyone can agree that its not possible lol.
But what about in the future? I think technology will be so advanced in about 50 years that there will be someway to transform brain energy into energy like magic..But it would probably haev to be in a controlled environment..
Just like to know what you guys think.

Well, maybe in the future it will sort of be possible. Mostly illusion type "magic" i would say, created by holographic projectors on the end of wands. Most magic like levitating,and disapearing will all be done through science. Though back in the ages when someone advanced in science, didn't people say he was using magic?

So i would say yes. We would use machines/ Tech disguised, to make it look like a wand or such.

Magic is just the explanation of the unknown, but spectecular things. In the past a working laser pointer would be called a magic stick, and everyone would be frightened of it. Now it is a good toy making cats, dogs and even birds and fish make damn crazy.

Actually, magic spells can work. It's not an exact science, and sometimes hilariously mixed up faux pas with an added moral message can take place (see: episodes of Sabrina The Teenage Witch), but they can work.

Frankly, I'm surprised that the world doesn't take more advantage of it.

I think everyone uses magic here and there, they just dont call it that
Even prayer is magic, imho.

Crossing your fingers, knocking on wood.. All sorts of stuff is magic in form or another.

Magic, and I hate the word because too many people think of silly stuff like, "I dream Of Jeanie" and "Bewitched" What Magick (Spelled the way many Wiccans and other do) is, is learning to use the energy you have and mix it with the energy of things around you, and learning how to focus that energy and direct to where you want it to go....it's all mind power for the most part It is simply, a science that scientist are just now discovering. It's very real That said...it NOT a toy to be "messed" with or played with, as you can do grave damage to yourself
and others by fooling around with things you know nothing of...it takes study

you'we got that right!! it is not to be toyed with. i learned a harsh lesson that way. the higher energies is elusive and difficult to master, but not impossible. it is in use nearly every day by everyone, but it is subconsious. after all, everything is built up by the same bricks...

Very wise!! It is indeed in use by everyone everyday....sitting in the car, pissed off because your stuck in traffic and you cuss the person in front of of you...thats strong energy (your mad) and it can and does effect that person if you are directing it strong at enough AT that person and you have a strong will and mind power....without ever knowing you are doing such

not only the negative energy, the positive energyflow is as powerful when directed the right way. it is when the energy can be felt it becomes interesting. REMEMBER!!!

i don't practice any special branch, i only use what i can, when i can. i am sorry to say that i am terribly uneducated on the matter. i haven't been able to get a experienced tutor which doesn't clam money, so what can i do. i only try to do experiments when i can. controlled ones of cource, i wouldn't tryout anything that i was unsure of. I would call what i do, manipulating of the higher energies. and the energies renew themselves form the center of the universe, the ancient one. i hope this gives you some explanation on what i practice..

Be wary of those who charge money..it it not to be bought..there is an old adage...when you are ready, a teacher will come be patient!

i have been ready for ages, but maybe it is me who is reluctant to search more for one... i was once the leader of a small coven, which was split up due to everyone moving to seperate places. so i am sort of a male witch. believe it or not. i was also known under the alias "warlock" in reference to the nature of male witches, not to be confused with the demons of "charmed". hehe, that was long before charmed appeared on tv.

OK...i specifically said that i was talking about the harry potter magic... i.e. levitation, parting water...It may be just me but i dont think you can just use energy around you and part water? and if so please give tips!

Why would I not beleive it? There are many male witches!

hmm, well, i do not know if that is possible, but teoretically it is possible.
as i said earlier in this thread, everything we see and everything we don't is made up of the same matter. even we are made out of the same matter and the air as well. so since we are the "same", it shouldn't be impossible to manipulate water as well as levitation, or floating.

not everyone believes me when i say things, so i know, it was just a figure of speech, nothing more. that's why i wrote what i wrote on the bottom.

A lot of the 'Magick' of old has either been redefined or rediscovered today as 'Science'. Clairvoyance has become Remote Viewing. Healing Elixirs and Love Potions are now 'Pharmaceutical Drugs' like Anti-Biotics and Viagra. Putting someone under a Spell or Charm or Curse could also be compared to todays methods of Psychology and Hypnosis. Alchemy is now Chemistry. Even 'Conjuring Magick' to produce powerful changes within reality by summoning a Deity or through the direction of one's own Will once was a reason to Burn or Drown so called 'Evil Witches', but is now accepted as 'Faith Healing', 'Group Prayer', or even curing illness through use of Placebo.

Even the more recent studies within Quantum Theory and Mechanics are showing that our Awareness does in fact have some direct influence over Physical Reality with experiments such as the Double Slit Experiment. Also that Information can in fact travel Instantaneously over distances that are beyond the Speed of Light, as in the experiments known as Quantum Entanglement and 'Spooky Action at a Distance'. I suppose it's not too much of a stretch of the imagination to suggest something like 'Genetics' when wondering just how it might be possible for someone to turn someone else 'Into a Toad or Newt'!!

You want a 'Magic Wand'? How about a Hand Held High Power Laser. Or maybe some kind of tiny personal Taser or Sonic Weapon as a close substitute. New Superconductive Materials and Discoveries are getting closer all the time to manifesting our very own modern 'Flying Carpets'! We already have and produce for public use, new technology that reads a persons brain wave activity and produces a signal externally to produce actions on physical things in our normal reality, although relatively simple as of yet.

How are those for some examples?

Power Lasers. Tiny personal Taser and Sonic Weapons ...Oh my!!!! Imagine cutting the door way or drawing the circcle with one of those!

hehe, well imagine having those tools and travel into the distant past(if that was possible)
