about 45miles west of pensacola andfaces the gulf.

I really can't grasp the sonic boom idea being felt several hundred miles from the epicenter..that must be a heck of a plane. and yes I understand the idea of a "rolling boom" as the plane travels..care to explain how this might work out?

The Arkansas earthquake thread is calling the 3.5 in Florida an earthquake too, so I dont know what all the chatter about it being a sonic boom is.

this event is so insignificant that the op needs to throw in some dead animals, nibiru, fema, and every other conspiracy he can think of to get the doom fanatics to star and flag him. sad, seriously , they are just star's and flags!

3.5 earthquake reported off Ala. coast

MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - There was a small earthquake off the coast of Alabama Friday night.

The United States Geological Survey reports the 3.5 magnitude earthquake happened at 5:15 p.m. The epicenter was located in the Gulf of Mexico about 10 miles southwest of Gulf Shores.

Just after the reported time of the quake, the Fox10 Newsroom received numerous phone calls from people along the coast who said they felt the tremor.

Bob Grip spoke with Dauphin Island Mayor Jeff Collier shortly after the earthquake. Collier said authorities on the island had not received any reports of damage.

FOX10 News has a crew on the way to Dauphin Island. We will continue to track this story for you right here on Fox10tv.com and on FOX10 News.

What does his/her other threads have to do with this one? Its a legitimate thread, on a legitimate topic. If many of the other threads started by the OP are doom and gloom, so? This is ATS. He/she is certainly not alone in that. I just dont understand why a couple of you feel the need to bully the OP. The OP has a link to a government site showing a seismologist verified a 3.5 quake in western Florida. I see no links to anything saying it is a sonic boom.

I just dont go to threads about topics I think are fiction, or silly, or whatever. I honestly dont get the bullying. Cant you find something better to do than follow someone around and post personal attacks in their threads?

It actually was an earthquake and even if he/she was claiming that is was Mothra waking up on the ocean floor, so? Why be bullies about it?
