Please accept my sincerest condolences. I can relate to what you are going through on many levels at this sad time. I realize there are never the right words to say except to fully experience the grief rather than fight it. There are many stages of grief and no prescibed timetable. I myself masked mine for years after my Father passed as I assumed role of caregiver for my elderly Mother as only son and strived to be strong and "there" for everyone. It was a mistake I dearly paid for as it was unresolved and manifested in other forms.

I can only share the words of Eckhart Tolle which continues to provide me some comfort:

"Death is not the opposite of life. Life has no opposite. The opposite of death is birth. Life is eternal."

My heart goes out to you and your entire family.

Thanks all. Was a beautiful service. We did a dove and balloon release, had a nice slide show set to music going showing photos of her life, family and friends got up and spoke about experiences, etc. and we had a nice reception after. I hadn't even met a lot of her side of the family, so was neat to put faces to the names, etc.

All in all, everything went very well, and a lot of our friends showed up to support my wife, and most of them never even met the deceased, so it was a great show of support. A lot of our friends have been taking turn making and bringing us dinner for a few days, knowing we wouldn't likely do so or want to go out, so that's been real thoughtful of them too. Good to know we have these kinds of friends. We'd certainly do the same for them.

Thanks again all.
