I just noted it in Quakewatch. I don't like it.
I don't like the fact they haven't posted the one in central Arkansas from the other day. I'm almost doubt myself but it's as clear as day.

If anyone feels anything from now on, note the exact time and location and I will try to hunt down seismo and look. For the most part, the USGS has been on the ball and even the tiny ones are posted. But now I'm having doubts. I shouldn't let this get to me but it does. I get bothered when things aren't clear. Ignore me. Flustered in general.

I am posting this because I am rather concerned about this little swarm we seem to be having of late, as I am located in Memphis Tn.

What I have noticed is that these quakes appear to be migrating south along the New Madrid fault line.

Hey Robin! What is your take on these recent happenings?....I am becoming rather paranoid given everything that has been transpiring in the past year or so.

Sorry Robin, we must of been posting at the same time

For those of you in the New Madrid area, here is a quake map that I have noticed (in the past) have shown some quakes that USGS did not show on other maps I view.

Here is a link I came across as I was searching for the map coordinates for the 1811-1812 quakes.

Please note as you read this, the crap that is flying around us in outer space.......It was enough to make me hurl up a perfectly wonderful dinner....Enjoy

There is a 'rolling-type ' motion that I have been feeling in the last few days...

I never said anything cuz I thought it was just me and my stress.

But now I'm reading about others in the Memphis area noticing slight tremors......

It's GOT to be how the crack in my floor board came. When we got home yesterday, her mirror had fallen to the side. Couldn't figure out why.....

Arkansas
Missouri
Kentucky

and noticible settling in the Memphis area

I am very slow to jump on the feeling band wagon.

However, my ears have been popping again like they did back on March 11.

And furthermore, I woke up this morning feeling VERY dizzy.....actually equating it to a brutal fair ride.

I am still a little dizzy at the moment.

Lets hope we are all hallucinating like we did when we were kids

I am afraid to say this, but I have been feeling a slight rumbling periodically, however, I was just going to ignore it.

This is really kind of scary

Hey J

There is 2 possibilities, either:

A) They were not actual earthquakes

or

B) USGS is hiding something (but what and why?)

I have been hearing those reports, very unsettling.

The fact that you have things actually moved, like the mirror, that is even more unsettling

This topic is particularly concerning to me because I was born, raised, and still reside in the great (:roll
state of Arkansas. I have grown up my entire life hearing from older folks and family that our area is way overdue for a "big one".....anytime there is heightened earthquake activity, the topic seems to jump to the list of most active conversations among locals and long-time residents of the area. Hope this just turns out to be anti-climactic but it still worries me alot

In NE Arkansas, a few miles from the river. It's been a constant feeling of "rolling" the last day or so, with nausea, but not much on the seismo, except for Dell. We've heard what I term "earthquake booms" a few times the last week. My ears hurt, constant headache above my right eye.

I don't know. It simply feels odd here.

Hi, Apollo. Me, too. I lived many places, but I came back home eventually. Yes, "old folk" ways, and I learned what a sand blow was when I was young.

I wish I could explain it, but I simply feel edgy.

I have quit reporting it, but the last week has been brutal for me. Weird inner ear, nausea, dizzyness that comes and goes abruptly. The fracking quakes last year bothered me and it feels similar.

I will be doing something and it feels like the room tilts for a second. I get disoriented. Then I am fine.

Yes, I have had all the check-ups and am actually in amazing health otherwise so I blame something outside my body.

Don't be sorry. That video demonstrates clearly that the disposal wells were to blame for the earthquake swarm. Actually, it reinforces my view that there was no fault there in the first place, and that the injection wells created the fault.

Actually Muzzy, you should be sorry. Because you made my head hurt. (half joking). For on that page with the plots for the Arkansas earthquakes, I found this video...

www.youtube.com...

I quote, " Underground disposal of liquids by any industry is heavily regulated to protect the public."

This is untrue. It is a fact that the regulators are understaffed and laws favor corporations.

"For oil and gas producers, the Railroad Commission of Texas oversees 53 000 injections wells."

Hold the presses! What the fracking freight truck did he just say?
53 000 muther rucking liquid garbage dumps under the state of Texas.
My god. My god. I'm not overreaticing. Think about it. Two injection wells caused the Arkansas swarm.
53 000 doesn't include Oklahoma, and all the other states with disposal wells.

I am saying this with all of my heart, soul, and mind.

INJECTION DISPOSAL WELLS ARE GOING TO CAUSE A MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE SWARM IN THE USA WHICH WILL KILL MILLIONS!

Of this I have no doubt. Sorry. No scaremongering. No wild speculation. Just simple deduction and simple math.

I say this with all certainty because when I think about the statement I just made, I do so from some future tense when the thought of this is accept as a given.

When future generations of our children learn about our present, they will be all wondering the same thing.
How on earth could they be so stupid?

This is what our children will be asking their teachers-
all over the world.

I remember when I was in 1st grade (1991)
I remember the year cos right outside my class room there was big giant numbers declaring the new year
"1-9-9-1"

I looked at it everyday from New Years to the End of School that year...

In the spring of that year...

We had a week long New Madrid "event" (preparedness)
Now I'm not talking regular EQ drills...
I'm talking down to the details NMFL

I also remember that year a lot of people were spooked about the possibility of it happening...

My mom is a teacher now, I asked her did they educate the kids about NMFL...
No, they just do the regular ole EQ drills...

I remember other kids getting scared cos of it...
Thats possibly why they no longer talk about it?

But I wasn't scared, I was highly interested in it, learning all I could.

I been expecting that thing to pop for the last 20 years...
it hasnt yet.
I hope it doesnt...
But even then "they" were expecting it to go...
"ANY DAY NOW!!!!!!!"

There was even a psychic who "prophesied" it would go in that year

"They" were expecting severe damage to infrastructure
Pretty much they described all around "Armageddon"

Now according to the maps I seen nowadays...
My location... Eastern Kentucky is not in the zone...
But according to what they said in 1991... we were...

It would not suprise me if the writer for the movie 2012 was either a student in my class
horrified by their experience... Or the person responsible for the curriculum taught to us lol

Its not very funny in reality if it does happen... but you gotta have a little humor...

Anyone else have this extensive "Awareness" at their school?

EDIT:
I created a new thread based on this post
I created the thread cos I did not want to put this one off topic.
And I thought it was interesting enough to have its own discussion
I linked back to this thread
in order to pay my respects to the author

The earthquake awareness you experienced was probably due to the prediction of Iben Browning and the media storm it created.
