I'm so very sorry I have to be so evasive and "non-informational". I'm trying to warn people without getting into trouble in the process. Know that I'm watching this thread and trying my best not to mislead anyone, however the people who have focused on "M8" being a seismic measurement are correct. So Cal. The ground is already moving as well. Best wishes for all of us in So Cal. I wish I could part with more info, but I'm sorry, I can't. Be prepared and stay alert. The swarm has already begun. We all knew this would happen....

Please know that I'm having to change my account frequently.

You know, if you really have information, I am sure the mods would be happy to help you get it to them and out to the public in a way that would protect your identity.

Noted and I have been
keeping an eye on the
swarm. Wish you could
tell us more. I forgot if
you told us, how long
until the event?

Yes. We shall see.

I wish the OP of that information would just lay it all out. Why the cryptic replies? Just say it already. If you have insider information - spill it!

In today's local news:

"In recent years, a camp has emerged that’s more hopeful. It’s pushed by researchers using satellites who say it may be possible to someday predict quakes from space and others who think they can tease out signals in rocks.
The two groups recently met in Los Angeles to start a dialogue. Scientists have been trying to solve the riddle for decades."

I implore you to not be casual in your approach to safety at this time. Please remain prepared.

I will share more info shortly and I will NOT take any credit when the event happens. I'm only trying to pass along information that I am hearing and reading at my office.

Stay alert.

So I found this in the news today, based on tmiddlebrook36 post....

In recent years, a camp has emerged that's more hopeful. It's pushed by researchers using satellites who say it may be possible to someday predict quakes from space and others who think they can tease out signals in rocks. Mainstream seismologists remain skeptical about the claims. The two groups recently met in Los Angeles to start a dialogue. Scientists have been trying to solve the riddle for decades. They've studied everything that might be a sign of an approaching quake including ground warping, weird weather and animal behavior.

Why not share it all at once?

Discover Magazine had an excellent if brief article in the October 2011 about the New Madrid Seismic Zone
here is the online version:

article

It's worth a read

It's taking me a couple of days to get the refences updated, whew. 10 more pages and it will be completely up to date. So here's your chance! If you got resources that you use and would like to share, post them now! I will post them on the bibliography thread for this discussion. I will be completing this tomorrow evening. Will let you know and give a link to it then.
ciao for now,

@ 11:35 PM CST, there was a tremor around Wooly Hollow Area.

Still waiting on the Helicorder to update. Here's the link if you want to check:

Wooly Hollow Seismograph

Update: And of course, the seismograph isn't showing a darned thing. Perhaps, now listen-up, Mr. Ausbrooks, that the movement is not on the side of the fault that the seismographs are located? Perhaps you smart folks at AGS can place a few seismographs on the southern side of the fault? So you can get a more-accurate reading?

It's not rocket-science, but I suppose to those at the AGS, it might be beyond their level of intelligence?

Sick of the denial and double-talk!

If you think outside of the box, you may be able to read between the lines here. I'm posting as much as I can, and more info coming in constantly. I can't really post what I "hear" as it's all hearsay and that's not right.

Minutes from a closed door that was forwarded to me, based on recent information connected to earlier posts

"A 7.0 quake in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area would potentially kill millions and cause upwards of $1 trillion in damages,"

I shouldn't be saying this but there has been new studies that are not yet published. The risk is "imminent".

I'm sorry I can't print more.

Stay alert.

It's here! The update to the Bibliography thread for this discussion. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Please check out the post before the update. It is a list of the categories that are included within the bibliography. Woohoo new and improved! It will make finding related documents and articles easier for topics of your interest. Please note that the bibligraphy is now in two post windows, we exceeded the maximum characters and had to put the end of the list in a second window.

Please continue to leave me links to pictures and articles you use in your discussions so they too can be included in the Bibs'.

If you find a link that is busted, cause some are, I went back through but some are toast. Just U2U me which category and article and I will research and fix or replace with as closely related as I can find. I did find as I was updating, that some of the links, were already busted. So I keyword searched and found it a replacement. However many of the .gov sites aren't up very long or were too sensitive and they retracted 'em. Ahh, buggers.

Keep up the good work folks. And keep posting links to support your discussion so others can use this in their research as well. The more people who use our work the more exposure Arkansas and the New Madrid Zone the better. No since in reinventing the wheel. So use it well. If you would like an text document of the Bibs, U2U me with an email address and explanation why.

Ciao for now.

It has been so wonderful to watch this thread grow, and watch the earthquakes in Arkansas grow smaller, what an amazing thing all of you have done.

This thread is the perfect example of how information can be shared and how it helps to make a difference. I guess we can change some things if we try.

@tmiddlebrook36-Your information is interesting, and I am not saying I do not believe you, but I have never heard of an earthquake that killed millions of people. Why would this one be so much different? I was just wondering, as there have always been earthquakes in Los Angeles, any chance you would explain this theory?
Edit to add-but not in this thread, as it is for Arkansas area...don't want to hijack this thread.

Thanks for the info.

Peace,

Heads up folks, X2 Solar Flare eta Thurs-Friday. Opening my schedule up those evenings for seismo study! Hope to see you here too. We'll see how much is flare induced earthquake results. Solar watch thread is busy, if you want the scoop.

If you are working somewhere that has advanced information of an imminent earthquake, do you think this company will give advanced notice to the public? The way you are speaking it seems they would have already. And if not, why do you think they wouldn't?

Trying to "read between the lines" here... Perhaps, perhaps, these "new unpublished studies" have to do with the correlation between solar flares and quakes... Perhaps this new X flare will trigger an LA quake. He did say, "imminent" I dunno.
