Thought of you going to the Capitol today - wish things had went
better, but for you to show up and all those rig workers there made
it difficult I am sure. Hang in there Susan, you are doing good, we
are proud of you for your efforts.

I'd be willing to bet they are working on that station or have a glitch. Nothing is happening.

Apparently the whole network is down.

Is it just me, or does it seem eerily quiet today, globally speaking?! I'm beginning to wonder if the USGS is backed up and/or having issues. I keep checking the site and I only see a "red" dot in California every once a while, today. I'm not liking that. Especially in active areas like California.

I'm REALLY hoping for a glitch or slowness. And not the calm before the storm here.

Greetings Robin:

S & F ! Great thread! Maybe we can help each other out in our quest for the truth.

Perhaps there are reports of colors and sounds from any of your posters?

How about assisting in this project which will correlate earthquake lights, strange sounds and rumblings - before, during, after - and earthquakes. The information collected could possibly lead to some sort of earthquake prediction system here within ATS if the data can be analyzed for some sort of predictive pattern. (CLP are you there?) The idea is to collect the correct data from the start - and as soon as possible IMHO.

I, personally, would welcome any advice/help/suggestions/interested parties to make this idea better and a reality sooner.

It might be interesting to see if any of these sounds have "Earthquake Lights" associated with them before/during/after the sounds and an earthquake? Or were there sounds/lights and the EQ hasn't happened as yet - we really do not have enough data to make an informed decision as to the amount of time between events...?

Please help to spread the word to as many people as possible to quickly build the database as this information and map may prove to be quite timely - especially to people in the Yellowstone/New Madrid/West Coast/Alaska areas.

Earthquake Lights Map Live Update

Thank you for your time and consideration.

These challenges to life and sanity on this planet must be met with clear minds and sound hearts, so may your 2011 see you embracing its highest potential and onward through the fog!

In Peace & Light

Just got back from the capital. Well there must have been 200 rig employees and some of their spouses up there. It's fairly quiet because they got paid today to go to the courthouse to protest instead of being on the rigs and in the field working. I left as I have some other things that I have to get done here at home but did speak and I did get a little reaction from some of them when I flat out asked them where they lived and if they were afraid for their grandchildren to visit in their home, some even snickered and laughed when I said that I was concerned and afraid to bring my grandchildren into the state, with what is going on here trying to prove my point. Some of the college kids from Hendrick's college were there and trying to get any of the workers to talk and they had been told to keep their mouths shut and not step to talk. Many got to get inside at the session, I didn't as it was standing room only inside and they had to let someone out before they would allow anyone else in, so I was with the small group outside representing those against it. I am very disappointed in the turn out on the outside compared to how many workers were there fighting to keep their jobs.

I posted a comment on KARK's someone came in behind me with this.

Susan, thank you for your dedication........and for putting your heart in motion with action. You are a good example of how people should respond to injustice. You are taking a stand and speaking out where it matters. Bless you for all you do every day, for you represent the heart of this thread and the people of Arkansas and people over the world who truly "see" what is going on.

There is another thread I have been following, The Compasses in and around the New Madrid Fault are going way off Magnetic North. It is believed that this could be a precuser to a Big Quake. I know there are a lot of people on here from the area. I am in Arkansas, and my compass says North is now Northeast. Could you please check your compasses and see if they are also pointing toward East. This thread started last weekend. Your imput would give more info and help findout what this means.

Join the crowd,,, Susan I watched the News tonight, and it made me so mad, it was so one sided it is sick. They would rather have all that money coming into the state than the safty or well being of our childern. They will start back "Fracking the hell out of Arkansas and the people again. " You put up a great effort and don't give up the battle is not over. The next session will give time to get the people in the area to stand up for their future. You go, Girl.

I really hate waking up with these heebie geebie feelings anyone else had trouble sleeping tonight feeling weird or out of sorts? Ears throbbing, Rottweiler won't quit looking out the door and whining, but doesn't want to go outside. Can't get GEE to load although when I pull up Ceri it doesn't look like anything is going on. LOL...makes me wonder if i'm not getting PTSD I'm usually so logical.

You aren`t alone in the uneasy feelings this morning. I only slept for 3 hours... my dogs were acting up (barking and whining) off and on all night, and ears are ringing. I asked hubby if we have a compass (don`t) and he said I`m just stressed out . When I explained the compass question, his mood changed and he said he`d try to find one. I hope we are just stressed. And that`s the same explanation for the dogs. All the same, I`m gonna spend some time this morning getting my pool cleaned out in case I need it as a water source. And changing out batteries in my police scanner and radios. Just in case.

Sorry to bug you guys, but I have a bit of a problem. I just downloaded Firefox 4 and now my e-quake won't work. Is there someone who has a "fix" for this? Help!

I did the same thing and the add-on for it is not available yet. You can always look at
folkworm.ceri.memphis.edu... for Arkansas quakes.

I've been up all night, well almost, Chili is having her babies and I got maybe an hour before she started shredding paper again. I've been watching through ceri and usgs, we did have a quake but it wasn't bad. Ears are ringing, have been queasy for a few hours now, just tried to eat a little snack to see if that would help. OK got to go another puppy coming

I'm not going to pretend I really understand microsiesmic noise. It has been explained to me by a geologist working with the YVO, that it can be caused by tidal effects. He explained while working in Alaska, they would see microsiemic noise often when there were strong ocean waves. Although it's unusal for it to show up on Yellowstone's webicorders which are very far inland, it's not that uncommon. There are other sources of microsiemic noise, but I haven't dived that deep into the subject. I'm kinda wishing I had.

Because, there is lots of microsiemic noise showing up on Arkansas's webicorders at the moment. It's increasing. And oddly enough, some of you are feeling anxious and describing physical sensations. I don't know if it's linked. But it's an observation nonetheless.

Here's the part I can't avoid wondering about. I'm seeing an increase in microsiesmic noise at Yellowstone. It's not dramatic. But it's definately there now, and there has been no evidence of it at Yellowstone for quite some time. The rise is microsiemic noise at Yellowstone and the noise seen on the Arkansas webicorders is the same. Whatever is causing it, it's affecting both Yellowstone and Arkansas. Tides?

Or groundwater? I'm not going to say Yellowstone is active. It's been really quiet over that last many weeks. But I've noticed a slight uptick in the activity over the last day or so. It's really insignificant. But it's something.

And the Arkansas quakes have quieted in comparison to the day before yesterday. Except the 2.8M all by itself without many smaller ones to accompany it. It seems to stick out like a sore thumb.

Like I said, I'm not pretending I understand exactly what's happening with the microsiemic noise. But it's important to note, just before the 4.7M, there was a long pause in activity. At the same time, the microsiemic noise increased steadily until that strong shock. It may be just a coincidence. Or it may be important. I just don't know.

Maybe those in the area shouldn't watch the webicorders. Those lines, I think, can make you sea-sick. And anxious. I know you want to understand what's happening under your feet. But don't let any undue stress make you suffer even more. I almost didn't want to post my observations. I don't want to stress you out even more.

I just need to make the observations. I'm sure you have all made you preparedness plans. So, reassure yourselves that you've done all you can, then try to keep a good pace and don't knock yourselves out.

Around 7:50 this morning, I felt a small jolt and then another within a couple of minutes. There is nothing really showing up on the WHAR webicorder during that time. Weird.
