I really wish I had the time to go hiking around there again and check it out. Maybe this summer, if I'm really really lucky. I miss those places!

Ok This is getting interesting. On a Romanian Blog in 2009 Mai This man posted the following:

You gotta admit that where the Sphinx is in relation to high winds that it is most plausible that it was formed by the winds however i wouldnt put it past being formed and then covered over by dirt and dust almost like cemented over before falling off eventually to reveal a Sphinx.

I was in touch with the Romanian man that wondered in the woods and encountered the Military. I have some info from him as I was chatting with him on messenger also he gave me another lead in regards to this.

I will make a full account of the discussion and the new lead in an hour I have to go now ...

You are wrong about us being decendent from Apes - read about the missing link also the science on DNA has also proven the extraterestial link in our DNA - Dawin had a 'THEORY' that has many holes in it and is rapidly becoming if now already outdated and until they find the truth on this they won't be going to the bother of changing all the Text Books and indoctrination spouted in schools. It was a theory and nothing more - based on the evidence available at the time.

Its astounds me how many people actually agree that we are related to aliens of some type of another planet the only way that this is even remotely possible in scientific terms is if a meteorite crashed into mars several rocks with some from of life landed on earth and life started from it or brang some new lifeforms to earth. I believe this theory is called panspermia and is quite possible.

But spouting nonsense about being descendents from aliens is getting a little off topic because i would say thats highly unlikely unless they came to earth and genetically created us which seems unlikely because we are genetically related to every living creature on the planet. Personally, I believe it's very possible that aliens tampered with our DNA. But I don't understand how some supporters claim Darwin was wrong. How would that scenario make Darwin wrong? It doesn't. Infact, it would make those theories more true, since it would explain all the holes in human development. You guys don't make sense.

Anyway, this thread is really interesting. That pyramid-illusion-hologram-thingy is extremely beautiful. Seems like there's a lot of evidence that something strange indeed is happening around this mountain. Keep up the good work and don't let this die.

Btw, there is a link between Egypt and Romania. Zamolxe, the high priest of the Romanians ancestors went to Egypt and looks like he found out some cool staff over there

Sorry to break this to you guys i know this story sounds too good to be true ...

But the book is fiction and you can check that ... And there is no Zero Department in the Romanian Inteligence Service (SRI).

The cave with the chambers and tunnels and giant skeletons doesn't exist .....

I spent 2 and a half summers out there looking for it and din't find anything, i asked the locals and still nothing they said they didn't have any military activity in that area since the dissaperance of a man in thin air (yeah this really happened) and that was when Romania was still communist.


But there is a bright side to this: there are a lot and i mean a lot of strange events up there in the mountains, strange creatures resembeling greys, orbs, UFOs and strange thik electric fogs.

This is a any interesting story, but it sounds so far off the wall it was the skepticism levels in me. Historically, the area in which these mysterious findings and occurrences have taken place is known to be mysterious and forbidding. From Vlad the Impaler ruling the countryside with terror, building mountainous fortresses, and his brutal dealings with the Turks; and then there are all the folklore concerning the supernatural and unexplained.

The Carpathians were and are still one of the most mysterious corners of Eastern Europe. Now, the source is coming from David Icke and I have to take what he says with a grain of salt. As the years go be it seems his theories get more and more extraordinary and over-blown for my liking. Nontheless, the OP put together a great thread, and something new to wrap our minds around. If the stuff is true, it would be one of the most earth shattering discoveries in world history. However, until I see a little more substantive data on this region, the jury is out as far as I am concerned. On another note, this story sounds a heck of a lot like a movie and book that came out called "The Keep."



The movie takes place during WWII with Nazi Germany occupying Romania. At the start a unit of Wermacht soldiers rooting out resistance in the Carpathian Mountains have stumbled upon this mountainous complex. The complex is shrouded with tales of the supernatural and the unexplained. The Germans go inside the complex to investigate and all hell breaks loose. Good flick for those interested who have not seen it, and are interested in this topic.

Wait, so how can I verify that Dragos' story is true? I mean, I read up to page 6 and still I see no way of knowing if he lied or not.

Actually its NEVER been proven that we are decended from any Apes. Its theorized only. Yes we share 98% of the DNA of the apes but we also share 42%with mice and a whopping 26% with mere yeast (are we decended from bread??). All carbon based lifeforms share a good portion of the same DNA sequences. Its the precentage that is different that makes up the different species and DNA in man contains material that is not found anywhere else in the animal kingdom.

This is not about erosion of the Sfinx or anything like that is about what is in the area , underneath and all the mysteries surrounding different stories and claim.

Please read all the 7 or 8 pages and then make a comment otherwise you are wasting precious space ....

Oh, I'm 90% convinced the Bucegi Sphinx is natural, the result of differentiated erosion. If you go to Babele, where the Sphinx is, you'll see there are lots of such big boulders, all with weird shapes. The wind there is strong (it's quite high up, 2200 m if I remember correctly), the ground is sandy, and the wind blows the sand and erodes the boulders.

I wasn't saying the Sphinx is man made. I am on the fence about this whole subject, but I have to admit I do find it quite fascinating.

I was referring to the images, that are obvious rock or limestone shapes made by simple erosion.

The Balkanese and Carpatian mountain ranges are the oldest in Europe, and on of the oldest on the planet, and they were put under ice during the last Ice Age, among having supported other forces of nature, so there is nothing mysterious in these strange shapes. In coastal areas in Canada we got even stranger rock formations and natural carvings.

I might take the time to read some of it... got a lot of real literature to read these days.
