there are many 'anti-Christs', today and in history (Herod, Pharoh, Hitler, Haman), leading to the one major-league antiChrist, the international (if not global) ruler to come who will lead the war against Christians and Jews.
many modern prophecy students suspect he will be Muslim. he will have a sidekick known as the false prophet.

we all have the potential to be imitators of Christ, or anti-Christ. our choice. no human can ever acheive 100% either way.

This topic disgusts me.

Life is hard for most people. If they want or need material distractions in order to deal with the pain, because to be frank, God in all his infinite wisdom completely ignores us when we ask for him to help, then what right do you have to make them feel guilty for it?

At the end of the day, we are physical beings living in a physical world. We have five physical senses in order to experience the world. The problem is we are misusing things. Its the way people have gone about consumerism that is problematic. We are made this way, so why is it wrong to live the way we are made? While I am not saying that spirituality is something to be ignored, and for some it is their path, for many it is not. You have no right to force people to take a specific path.

You are a total hypocrite, you clearly only care about spreading your poisonous message rather than attempting to understand why people do what they do. It is not black and white. You are judging people when you say greed and consumerism are bad.

For the record I completely reject the god, and any of the other deities portrayed in any of the human-created religions. Not a single person knows for sure what really is going on, anyone who claims to is a liar. We are all in the dark as much as the next person. Stop enforcing your beliefs onto others and spreading them using fear.

You claim that the Roman Catholic Church "deified" Jesus.

I believe it was Jesus himself who did so (by not denying it when those close to him called him God). Jesus also referred to himself as "I Am" when questioned by the Sanhedrin. They responded that he had blasphemed becuse they understood that he was using one of the names of God for himself. Check it out in John 8:58.

Most of Roman Catholic teachings were based upon manuscripts that were later than the earliest gospels and letters we now have. These earlier manuscripts attest to his deity.

Perhaps you could look at the verses and arguments in this link: www.gotquestions.org... or just Google it.

The definition of anti-christ is Christ denier.

Brother, I won't even judge the anti-Christ. Christ and anti-Christ must both exist, as a pair of opposites. As must loving and un-loving societies. I don't judge one or another of any pair of opposites. I transcend the pair entirely.

At the same time, I understand that all the world is a stage and we have roles to play. So let us play our roles, and realize that sometimes the roles play us.

I have judged no one my friend. I simply pointed out the way things are. I spoke the truth. If it hurts, then that means we can start looking for ways to heal the pain. The judgement you feel, comes from within.

God made us this way because we are supposed to enjoy the pleasures of life. We are not supposed to let them become what our life is all about. We have Brothers and SIsters who are oppressed, starving, and in utter torment. We cannot ignore their plight while we party on into eternity. We are ALL God's children. If one SUFFERS we ALL suffer.

You speak for God. He is within you! By the pain and anguish that has come out in your post, I can tell he is not happy. I am not judging you my friend. I bear the pain of the world. Not a day goes by that I am not thrown to my knees for the suffering in the world. I see with eyes wide open and I am just telling you what I see.

I too would be an Atheist, if only logic and reason could prove there was a tomorrow. I too would be an Atheist if only logic and reason could prove that I know everything there is to know. I too would be an Atheist if only logic and reason could explain away my undying love for the human race, when it has proven time and again it does not love itself.

So because logic can't do these things, your response is to completely disregard it and pursue the opposite extreme of worshipping a character in a two thousand year old story who says his dad is the creator of the universe and overseer of paradise? Why that particular icon? If the New Testament could be true, couldn't any other sacred text of any other belief system? How do you decide which one to commit to?

You describe the message of Christ as one of equality. I'm not so sure about that. I would characterize the message of Christ as an attempt to draw a line between two unequal groups; those who agree with him and those who don't. His message isn't that we're all equal, it's that you're either with him or against him and you'll spend the rest of eternity at the business end of a lake of fire if you don't get with the program. He identifies all alternative mystical, spiritual, and ethical belief systems as inferior, and claims his and his alone is true and of value. That's not a message of equality. I think he promoted many terrific ethical and moral principals, but I think his message also promotes a false choice and the notion that those of us who don't choose correctly or who avoid the question entirely are somehow not acceptable.

Vladimir Putin was in power before and he will be again in 2012, from 2012 on the president of Russia will stay in power for 6 years instead of 4 years. Dimitry Medvedev is the Putins puppet, so Medvedev could be "Mabus" also, some interpretations say that Mabus is the "helper" of the real Antichrist !

When you read the prophecies that will be fulfilled by the anti-christ you can see that Putin is a number 1 candidate to be the anti-christ.

For nine years the thin man will keep a peaceful rule, then he will fall into so bloody a thirst that a great nation will die for him without faith or law; killed by a much better natured man ~ Nostradamus, II.9

Vladimir Putin came into power in 1999. Could this quatrain refer to his 9 year peaceful rule, which will end in 2008, in 2008 when he did lead Russia into a bloody invasion of Georgia, according some prophecies he will join the Arabs for an invasion of the West.

Anti christ is an attitude. It is not a particular person. The word "spirit" is indicative of "an attitude." An attitude usually determines ones behavior. The attitude and behavior of an "anti-christ spirit" is well depicted in the opening post. Jesus said the anti-christ spirit was already in the world at the time he was walking the earth. It has always been here. It is not a person that will suddenly arise as a dictator. Additional to your comment, perhaps you need to study a bit about prophecy. The antichrist/"little horn that becomes dominant" in Daniel is referrinmg to a kingdom, like all the other kingdoms in the same prophecies, not a single man.

The reason that some people believe that the antichrist is to be an individual is that this kingdom/system will only be dominant for 7 years and that the Catholic Church was scared that they actually fulfilled the prophecy about this "New Rome". So they redefined the prophecies to make them look less culpable. It was their reaction to one of the most radical beliefs of the Refomation.

I pray for those who would spitefully use me ...I am allowed to hate the sin but should love the sinner as you say ..This perplexed me at one time as I found it hard to love someone who I didn't even like ,but God makes a way to do it .
Eve rightfully pointed the finger at Satan .Adam tried scapegoating but it was a fail ,and yes we are usually guilty of not taking responsibility for ourselves ,but we can learn to suck it up ....peace

So I guess the ultimate goal is for us to learn forgiveness.

It's a popular trend to 'hate on' the elites and masterminds who ruin our lives and make things so difficult.

But what if the ultimate lesson here is to learn how to forgive them anyways? And love them as we love ourselves or anyone else for that matter?

I don't know. Since I can't really do anything about it anyways, perhaps that is the best course of action.

To forgive those that have done us wrong.

Maybe that is what salvation and redemption are really about?

It seems like the logical best course of action, as it eliminates many of our mental problems and alleviates our anger and fear.

Yes, and Jesus did not lie. He was "I AM". He was speaking of the eternal spirit that resides within us all. The spirit that is love. Just as Christ was I AM, I AM.

Look within, past all the things you have been taught you are in this existence, past the ego. There you will see that you too are I AM.

Where the Catholic Church deceived you is that it teaches that Christ is the ONLY Son of God. He never said that. Man is the ONLY begotten Son of God. Hence Christ was the Son of God, Son of Man interchangeably.

The God The church made Christ out to be is akin to Apollo. This was not Christs teachings. Christ taught we were all equal. He did not raise himself over any man, but humbled himself before all men. This was to teach us how to treat each other as God's Children.

2 Thess 2:8 says 'the man of lawlessness will be revealed'. sounds like a specific person to me.
indeed the 'spirit' has been around for quite a while waiting for the right person to come together in. the Bible is full of 'types' who represent different characteristics of one to come, Christ and antiChrist. like any great drama there are foreshadows of the climax.

My friend hate nothing. What is Sin? To transgress God's law. What is God's Law? To love one another.

If someone Sins, they are hurting. Can you fault someone for crying out when they are in pain? You can't. Find out what is hurting them, heal them, make them feel loved again. Then you will have more than a friend, you will have a Brother or Sister.
