UFO over Jerusalem: CONFIRMED HOAX

Hiya,
well done on moving this thread.

My gut feeling, based on the original 2 films is that its a hoax. I do digital effects for a living, specialising with After Effects. It's the 'flashes' and the 'zoom up' that look a bit contrived to my trained eye.

The parralax issue does look a bit funny, but I have seen dodgy image stabilisation that creates similar oddities so that is inconclusive.

I believe someone put a still frame of the flash in this thread, seen behind the guy and the wall. The flash cuts off at the right hand edge rather too sharply and also it just looks a bit 'wrong',

difficult to put my finger on it, but I thought I'd look for a natural occuring massive 'flash' in youtube to compare... I was thinking about lightening videos when I found this excellent video with some spectacular comets entering the atmosphere and some massive white flashes... which are also helpfully played frame by frame.



As you can see these flashes have a very different look and feel to those in the 'ufo' videos.

Inconclusive I know... but something about those vids doesn't sit right with me.

They remain MUM, our members here and abroad have tried to contact them in Emails. They still have not gone public? However they seem only interested in a certain notorious hoax site and it's hoax spamming journalist? Every day this goes by and they remain nill i cant help but feel disgust in in this. Why remain exclusive to said hoax syndicate?

I couldn't agree more. That sounds like the actions of perpetrators instead of witnesses. You would think if this were legit, they would be screaming it from every news channel that would listen.

So what is the final verdict on this? I have read most of this thread and must have missed something. Did the weather camera catch a globe in the same position at the same time or not? Anyone?

How many proofs of fraud does it need to put this in the place it deserves to be, the hoax section.

Surely those holding out for any proof its real must be biting their nails with the frustration considering every second there's no proof it just destroys the faith they put into it.

There's been so many facts stated it beggars belief that anyone has any faith in this now ragged story, the rest of the world cares nothing about it, Israel cares nothing about it but people sitting at monitors world wide are begging for it to be true..

Sorry people, time to move on to the next big thing, this has run it's course.

This should put things into perspective. What was shown or seen in the webcam isnt the same as these videos, BECAUSE IT DIDNT ACTUALLY HAPPEN.

It's fake people, get over it and move on, seriously.

Well said manmental.

I would like to say that just because some of us see things that others don't is not a decent reason to merit attacks.
Some people have experience and are specialised in car mechanics some in cooking some in working with audio and some with working with video.
If an experienced mechanic said there's something not quite right with this engine
(and for the sake of argument not your engine) would it be right to say to them
"I can't detect anything... therefore you are wrong... and possibly evil"!
We all want to know what is going on in this case and have a right to our opinion (which can be changed through logical reasoning). This won't be the last UFO video to be scrutinised on ATS so try and get some perspective before condemning people.

And to those who say go ahead make a video just like it I completely agree with what pinke said about what would be said afterwards.

After reading countless pages of people analyzing the videos ive come to the conclusion that...nobody knows.

Now all you dubunkers out there...check out this video and tell me if its real or fake? Are there parallax issues? synchronization issues? Post your findings.

GREAT RESPONSE! its amazing what lengths people will go to for such a thing.

But in saying this, i believe theres more to it than this, much much more.

Does this mean all of the sightings around the world in the past few weeks are "fake' as well?

Could the government be hosting one big ufo subliminal awareness campaign of sorts?

So many questions which I am afraid will go un answered

Hi, I too have worked in the TV & video industry, and now work in a University where the latest video techniques are taught up to Masters Degree level.

Anyone who is familiar with programs like Avid or Adobe After Effects, and the technique of compositing will understand how easy something like this is to fake- someone posted earlier that 'the amount of effort required to hoax this would be huge'- not so. Its actually very simple, and I see our students doing things like this or better everyday.

I have said before, I am a believer and have had my own UFO experience, and I really wish it were real, but I there is no doubt in my mind that this is a fake. The main obvious error is during the flashes but there are others. I think some people have made up there minds this is real, and no matter what they are told, they will continue to say so. I would just say that this type of 'belief' gives much ammunition to debunkers as to how 'believers' will fall for anything, and are laughing hard right now.

This apparition over The wall of cry is maybe a sign for something.

I have a question, I am defering to your mentioned expertise here, could the difference in the flash be that it is actually directed downward, similar to say a flashlight held perpendicular to the ground? Because to me it does remind me of this effect, whereas the meteors and fireballs you were refering to in your example video were omni-directional.

I think the Utah Ufo case is legit, meaning the people who filmed it did not fake it / or try to hoax, but what is being shown on the video, is it a real alien craft? or just a scenario we dont understand, like military exersice / sky diving / ballons.

One thing that annoys me is that these perpetrator clearly went out of their way to fake these videos (vid 1,2), but got lazy with the audio and made very simple mistakes. They did do a decent job trying to doctor the audio, like the volume adjustments with the woahs, and where they actually copied some background noise and mixed that in, to cover up the changes they made. Where they messed up at (and they obviously don't know too much about audio) was how they did it, things was done to abruptly and aren't natural.

this sort of reminds me of this Video a Latitude kinda sorta way with the flash then gone !!!

This is driving me crazy. This is REAL. Quit looking at clips online and start doing good with your life so we may have a chance in hell to meet them.

Victors area 51 interview is very very real too, and I believe we have #ed up big time. It saddens me greatly. They have been here for a long time now, the sooner we can get past that, the sooner we can understand what we need to do and how we need to do it. Interesting that this craft would have the same flashing effect as the one being discussed, very good. You have actually brought something of relevence to the table, which is more than I can say for most. Now does this mean that it gives cedence to this discussion or is it the base that the hoax was created on? Just more fuel for the fire so to speak. I appologize if I sound pesimistic but this endless debate of who's opinion is greater is starting to be tiring. I was hoping that when this reopened we could come to some conclusion based on logic, but we still have the same shouting matches as before.

and by the way, anything can be faked. no matter what video is presented people will say it is faked. then victors video wasnt crisp enough and oh it was just a dude in a suit. video tape a human being and ask a hollywood make - up artist if they can do any better, and theyll tell you of course they can. This is bigger than all of us. This is real and you people are doing us all a huge disservice and that is an understatement. god bless you ' victor ' for what you tried to do.
