I've been a lurker for a while now and I created a profile just to reply to this. Please forgive any spelling errors as I use my iPad and it "auto-messes up" my typing sometimes.

I was literally just thinking of this when I dug up some old PBS episodes of "SquareOne TV" on YouYube. (was pretty good to show kids the importance of math)
But I'd also like to tag on Stargate Universe (they move it from SyFy Friday to the Tuesday death slot and were wondering why the ratings went down?)
More of any Star Trek (not the Star Trek "reboot" stuff that rewrites history) as it was nice to have a long running story/universe that had depth same reason I liked Stargate SG1 and on.
Odyssey 5 would have been a great series for the times we live in now and from what I've seen so far, our type of people here on ATS. Would be even better to incorporate the weird stuff like all the UFO sightings, the crazy HAARP weather, etc.

Would it be to much to ask that we stop copying British television (examples: Coupling, Life On Mars, TopGear, etc...the originals were often better) and create a show that is not a reality show (American Idol should not be on more then 1 night a week taking up primetime) or a spinoff (CSI: wherever, Law & Order: Wherever, NCIS:LA) of another show on our own?

If I only had one to choose:

1. Jericho

There was never a slow episode. It was pretty awesome.

If we could choose a couple more then I would go with Firefly and Survivors (BBC).

Only one? I can't do it. The reasons why I hate TV EXECUTIVES:

Firefly (Serenity didn't really end it... felt more like a movie after a game)
Stargate Atlantis (Cancelled Season 4 mid entire plot with no resolution)
Stargate Universe (Cancelled Season 2 mid entire plot with as yet no resolution)
Caprica (Cancelled Season 2 mid ENTIRE PLOT AND PROMISE OF STORY ARC - SWINES...)
Charlie Jade (No Season 2 after much anticipation and a fully open ended story)
Defying gravity (So it was a bit soppy, it was still cut short of telling the story)
FlashForward (WTH? How to bollocks a story....)
Heroes (Another one cut up to an awful ending that told nothing, explained nothing)
Lost (God Forgive me the years I wasted on that show for that APPALLING ENDING. And it wasn't a joke - they meant to do it that way...)
Terminator TSCC (another one that was brutally ended without conclusion.... not so much a biggie tho)

There are others, but it's been so long now it's like remembering a party years ago - doesn't hold up now.

Sorry for the blast of shows, but I've left posts on blogs, forums, articles all over the net thanks to idiots like the ones who work at 'SCYFY' since they cancel something that IS science fiction, to put on more wrestling or some other crap..... Punch in the nose, for each of them....

Now that Gaz screwed up my brain permanently, I remembered one from so long ago...

In the beginning, there was Glump...

I cannot find any reference to any clips on the net for this.... a show that seems to have slipped through the web itself...

God I still miss Six Feet Under, but it wasn't cancelled, just finished oh so eloquently

Also, recently got right into Eastwick (the dude who plays Darryl is GOLD) and Dollhouse, but felt like killing my television after finding out they were cancelled.

Please please PLEASE GOD don't let them cancel Breaking Bad or Fringe - I swear those shows have completely reignited my passion for well written TV.

I agree with many of the shows listed here. And thanks Spec for reminding me of Northern Exposure! I absolutely LOVED that show but had forgotten all about it.

If I could have one show back, from cancellation land, it'd be M*A*S*H. Arguably the best show to ever grace television, having the capacity to run the gamut from extreme drama to slapstick comedy - often in the same 10 second span.

Brilliant.
