If there was a show that I could get back on the air it would have to Firefly. I was also partial to Happy Town but hadn't seen any episodes come out after the first few. Mystery Science Theater 3000 had a good run but I want more! I won't even get into the vast amount of cartoons I want back!

If you had the choice to get on television program back on the air, what would it be?

I do not watch tv today, but one show i liked that stopped after one season, was the others, i think in 2000.

Sort of like charmed but a bit darker, and its not as tabloidy as charmed was.

So the others in 2000. I do not know how many of you saw it, but it was only 1 season.

edit:

If i could say more, xfiles and star trek next generation, both would be great in bluray, lol.

Get David Duchovny back to play Fox Mulder and make some more X-files

Or the Millennium TV-series with Frank Black ( Lance Henriksen )

Although the series premiered with impressive ratings, viewership declined throughout its three-season run, and it was finally canceled by Fox in the spring of 1999.

The easiest question I'll answer today! Arrested Development, the funniest sitcom I've ever seen. Completely unbelievable Fox cancelled it, but there is a movie in the pipeline for 2012, although it's been delayed a lot and is not definitely going to take place. Seriously, if you've never seen it, you should watch it. It takes a couple of shows to get into, but once you "get it", there's a 99% (a figure I carefully calcuated) chance you will love it. The character roles are perfectly cast, and there are a few big names- Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Charlize Theron appears in 5 episodes, and Ben Stiller has a cameo. Honestly, an awesome show.

ETA: I am not a professional critic- don't let my terrible review put you off!

Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles
That show was awesome and was in the middle of a great story when it got pulled.

Skynet must not want us to know what it's going to do....

I'll have to look into that. I have never heard of it. Watch me get hooked and then cry b/c there is no more.

Zazz:
Ooooh, I really liked Dollhouse. I wasn't aware they completely discontinued it, I thought it was on hiatus but that was like....a million years ago haha.

Cool thread!!

From long ago...Mutual of Omaha's Animal Kingdom, the Wonderful World of Disney, Star Trek (original series), Johnny Carson, I Love Lucy.

And more recently, 24, X Files, Flash Forward, ER.

I know there have got to be more, but I can't think of them right now and I have to get to class......

Wow, didn't think I would get so many replies so fast.

I've noticed that Fox has this pattern of making great shows that don't do very well on their network but then the show becomes wildly popular on another. I wonder why that is? Do they just not give their shows enough time or what?

Was the original Stargate show SG1?

I started watching that a while back and got to Season 9 when Gen. O'Neil left and it just wasn't the same anymore. Plus, Teal'c with hair was kinda creepy.

The only one that springs to mind to me is Stargate Universe. Just getting to the good bits and zip gone and we will be left with a cliffhanger ending as they cancelled it after shooting the season 2 finale!!

ROME

May HBO rot in a dark hell for cancelling them amid popular, loyal support.
