Ok,found the proper place to post this.

At about 9:50 pm tonight,I step outside for a smoke.
It is a very beautiful warm night.
I noticed in the sky that there were a very large number of contrails crisscrossing the sky,like in a grid pattern.
I live close to an airport and have seen many contrails before,but NEVER so many and in the pattern that they were.
My I add that I have never bought into the chemtrail thing.
Anyways,I went to get my camera and when I returned They were gone.
This takes place in Louisville Kentucky.
I'm just reporting what I saw.I am of sound mind.
But now I think I'm losing it. It just kinda freaked me out .
I don't get freaked out about anything.
It was just so weird.
I have lived here for 10 years and never had seen that before.
So I apologize if you all think I'm crazy,cause,now I do.

B. If they are contrails, how come the so-called contrails are only visible on certain days? I live in an area where we constantly have planes flying over............many days, the skies are blue.......blue the entire day. Other days....the ones where we KNOW they are spraying something, the skies are filled with lines, X's, tic tac toe's. I've lived in the same area for the past 16 years and have noticed this MAJOR change our skies.

Let's see here X's,tic tac toe's, in the sky are chemtrails you say. Take a gander at these then...

Since this happens alot in your location how come you do not get pics or even video?

I guess you may be feeling the effects of all those chemicals that are sprayed, because if it were me I would be documenting all the things I see. I am sure you have already thought about that haven't you?

For starters, I don't have a USB cord for my phone-computer. Secondly, why bother? I wouldn't waste the upload time to talk about my personal chemtrail photos on this forum.

Also, please let me clear one thing up. I don't insist that I feel they are poisoning us. So the word 'chem' trail gets a bad rap right away.
What these are (imho) are NON contrails. But until someone comes up with a better word I am stuck using chemtrails
So therefore, I don't feel they're ALL affecting my health all the time but thanks for your concern (end sarcasm)

ATS is a great place for just about everything except, chemtrails.

Why do you think they are "non"-contrails? Presumably you have spotted that there is something that makes them different from contrails - what is that?

There were contrails before aircraft - but I think perhaps you are not looking at meteor "contrails".

there are also perfectly natural clouds that look weird - various arcus clouds, fallstreak holes, and others.

but if it is coming from a high flying aircraft, and appearing a hundred feet or more behind the engines (typically for jets), then your basic contrail from the combustion of hydrocarbon fuel seems like a pretty sound bet.

I pop on these threads to give either support or opinion and then, I'm done.

Not going to waste my time.

It's like trying to tell me off-world entities don't exist. I am past certain basic paradigms (that many are still trying to cope with) that I seek certain like-minded groups to discuss certain issues.
And although chemtrails isn't a pivotal part of my life, it is something that I am willing to spend time towards seeking answers. And this particular quest takes a certain quality of person for me to talk about this with.
I've talked to mayors and congressmen to name a few. And of course, I belong to groups.

This is not up for debate with me anymore.

So.....chemtrails and ATS is like water and oil. Just doesn't mix.

curious - I'd still like to know what it is that allows you to identify "non-contrails".

the sites you listed are not places I would go for factual information or research - they are sites I would go to to have my pre-conceptions reaffirmed and my fears pandered to.

they certainly do not contain good science.

Peraonally I'm pretty confident there's intelligent life out there too.

I'm less sure that there's any at contrail hoax sites!

OP here. Just wanted to thank all for your inputs and comments (pro and con). I'm kinda amazed that the thread has legs...and yes, I have read all the posts. The various opinions and additional photos are welcomed contributions and I appreciate all the comments.

I would think, if (as you said) you'd read the entire thread....that you would have been educated, by now....

Today I witnessed a complete chemtrail dump over my city in southern Ontario. This afternoon, two planes criss-crossed back and forth leaving dozens of trails that slowly spread over the sky as day turned into evening. I reckon that we would have had a beautiful star lit night if it were not for the persistent haze that lingers.

Honestly, what the hell is going on? And why is nobody noticing? I was downtown walking around and not a single other person noticed the sky being sliced and diced up. One thing I noticed is that I couldn't ever hear the planes.

They had a field day with us here in Northeast Arkansas 02/14/11, the morning into the early after was nothing but big blue skies, and around 2 p.m. here they come, planes leaving trails beyond belief. Some thicker than others and some with X's. The one that really got me, went over our house, silent as could be with 4 trails coming out of the back.and when they ran together just looked like 2 trails. Too bad I didn't have my camera out that day, but in previous times when they spray heavy on us, they let off for about 2-3 days, so I can tell ya, my camera will be ready next time, which is very soon!

The first column is your atmospheric pressure, the second is elevation in meters, third is temperature, fourth is dew point, and the fifth is relative humidity. We don't really need the other columns for this though.

If you take this data, and plug it into the appleman chart, it will let you know if conditions in your area are conducive to contrail formation.



As you can see the conditions were just right for contrail formation in your area.

You don't hear a/c that are at 30,000+ feet!

Not only are they 5-6 miles away or more, but the engines are actually not nearly as noisy up there, as they are not producing as much power as they do at sea level.

Well I hope you have a good camera - most photos of "proof" are blurry picks that show f-all except a blob of an a/c and contrails......and then the poster pretty much screams about how it is proof positive of chemtrails, or holographic aircraft (look it up on YT!!), or whatever......

So here's the sort of thing that gives decent pitures of a/c at altitude: www.skystef.be... (btw that scope costs $700 US.....there's an 8" version that is a fair bit cheaper & would probably still give great shots)

And here's some of his photos - www.skystef.be... - links to others are on the page. Get some shots of that quality that show something unusual and you may be onto something! But if all they show is contrails you can expect a big fat "so what?"

The thing is though I saw the planes turn around and come back to leave more trails. They were at it for hours.

Hmm, are you sure it was the same plane? Not calling you a liar at all, or anything like that at all. It could have been planes in the same flight corridor going opposite directions, and happened to be timed right to give the appearance of what you just described.

Remember, perceptive can be deceptive.

If not, it's possible that the plane was Holding.

In aviation, holding (or flying a hold) is a maneuver designed to delay an aircraft already in flight while keeping it within a specified airspace.
