NED and Soros work in tandem, targeting the same regimes and using the same methods. NED President Carl Gershman, in writing of the hundreds of Non-Governmental Organizations working for “regime change” throughout the world, pays particular tribute to the Ford Foundation and “the foundations established by the philanthropist George Soros.”[7] Following the Money Trail As the common adage goes, if you want to know who’s running things, follow the money trail. Looking at the recipients for NED grants we find the following, for 2009 (the latest available):

The National Endowment for Democracy was founded in 1983 at the prompting of post-Trotskyite activist Tom Kahn, and exists under the patronage of the US Congress and Big Business, to promote the “world revolution” that was the common ideal of Trotsky and his contemporary President Woodrow Wilson.

NED describes its program of “democratic initiatives” (sic) as operating in Poland (through the trade union Solidarity), Chile, Nicaragua, Eastern Europe (to aid in the democratic transition following the demise of the Soviet bloc), South Africa, Burma, China, Tibet, North Korea and the Balkans. “Serbia’s electoral breakthrough in the fall of 2000″ was achieved by supporting “a number of civic groups.” “More recently, following 9/11 and the NED Board’s adoption of its third strategic document, special funding has been provided for countries with substantial Muslim populations in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.”[21] At least ten of the twenty-two directors of NED are also members of the plutocratic think tank, the Council on Foreign Relations,[22] including CFR program directors.

This is the work of the Usual suspects Sorros, Ford foundation, CFR (al lNWO)

What they are pushing all these Arab countries towards is another matter - democratisation is obviously the ruse - but it is more likely that Islamicists will gain control of them in the end, perhaps a pan-arab islamic caliphate even.

Our meddling always backfires- the Shah, Saddam, bin Laden, Latin America. When are we gonna learn?

Came across this little tidbit today

tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com...#

Mujahedin e Khalq were (are?) allll over the Green Movement in Iran, just itching to swoop in and seize power. They (and I think the MKO as well, whom we also support- as of now) are Marxists. So much for freedom, democracy and self determination.

The U.S. isn't and hasn't been the beacon of democracy. The government will support and prop up even the ruthless dictator, so long as it benefits our interests.

That's the way countries are, I'm not faulting the US, I'm just tired of pretending we are liberating people when we, just like everyone else, are trying to protect our interests.

Well, you're more generous than me. *I* fault us- not just for being bull stupid, but being rotten, exploitive, devious people. Karma is a bitch and it gets really old having our "leaders" foreign policy machinations come back on us, the citizens.

Its almost sunrise in Egypt - wonder what the day will bring?

Has anyone heard any news regarding protests in US cities - heard a rumor earlier but can't confirm, just wondering?

Yeah, well, I'm a generous person
. Nah, it's just realism, I'm not going to fault the US for doing the same thing every nation does. I do not expect the government to do anything that isn't beneficial to itself or the country (hopefully it benefits us both). As fantastic as it would be for countries to act out of the kindness of their hearts is not going to happen.

Yes, you think they would learn that eventually all their involvement, backing, covert ops would come back and bite us. Apparently, they are too stubborn to learn from their mistakes.

Even the current situation, it hasn't quite bitten us yet, we must see how this unfolds and who takes power. I do think that government took a serious misstep in not openly supporting the people and cutting off Murbarak. I think Obama had a real chance to get on the winning side and he decided to play it safe, publicly.

Now, there was an unnamed source on Obama's staff on CNN that said Mubarak's speech was highly disappointing and they do not believe that he is going to politically survive this. They are also discussing pulling aid if Mubarak doesn't open the internet, cell phones, etc and begin a real dialogue to solve this.

I think everyone knows that Mubarak will not survive this, and his attempt to maintain power while simply appointing a new government was the last straw, with the people. They are not going to accept this and I am trying desperately to wait til morning in Egypt to see what the morning brings.

There may be some information on Twitter via #egypt, #EGYPT, #Mubrarak [SIC] or some others (topics or whatever you call those seem to turn up in re-tweets) There is a site www.whyweprotest (I think .net) that had alot of info during the protests in Iran, also enduringamerica.com is a possible source. Not a techie, but there may be TORs or something like that to help the Egyptians get their news out.
Oh. And al arabiya (like al jazeera) has an english part, but not the videos.

I don't see why candlelight vigils and peaceful gatherings here in the US wouldn't be appropriate. Iranian ex-pats & Persian Americans held some back then.

See this (I didn't read much of it, but looks like it could have sources)

I know there is stuff planned at the Egyptian Embassy in Ottawa Canada. I have heard the possibility of a protest at the embassy in NYC. Global protests seem to be occurring only at Egyptian Embassies, so like dogdogdog said you can check twitter. Or if you live in a major city with an Egyptian Embassy cruise on by.

First of all, the article is a lie.
It's propaganda for an agenda
and I'll explain why it's propaganda
and who is really funding the
Revolution.

1) Mubarek is a US/CIA Puppet Dictator
who is sympathetic to Israel.
Now why would the US want to overthrow
their own puppet?? They don't, they
worked hard to get him in power in
the 70's and have funded him through
US Aid every year since he went into
power. So sending this guy to NY
was not done by the US Gov.

2) George Soros and OSI and NED
have been funding and training students
in Tunisia through CIA Ops to overthrow
the US Puppet corrupt dictator there.
They are doing it in Egypt too. Remember
Soros' 5-step plan using humanitarian aid
as a cover to fund the opposition.

This kid may have been to NY to train
how to overthrow Mubarek but it wasn't
the US Gov that did it. The lie in this article
is to cover the tracks of Soros. Nothing more.
Soros on many occasions uses the US Gov
as a scapegoat for his ops.

The true objective here is NOT Egypt or Tunisia.
It's to conquer Israel. The Islamic Revolution
will be the catapult to the destruction of Israel.
And the Arabs will be his standing army.

Well, there's the horns of a dilemma. Boon, I don't disagree with anything you're saying except maybe that the article isn't truthful. (and I've come to agree that Wikileaks' agenda is, ultimately, Not a good thing...so if it's that...). But o_0?
Soros is backing the current (US) administration- heavily. I see them as just an extension of Soros' globalist agenda. All I'm reading is a lot of doublespeak from Clinton, etc (grrr human rights...GITMO...hypocrites). As long as Israel doesn't object, I can't see the US having a problem with el Baradei. What am I missing?

Boondock-saint,

With all the evil that Soros has done around the world how's that man still alive is what I'd like to know.

He's got to have some pretty good security..or the people he goes after globally really are dumb as rocks.

Revelations (King James Version)
and a heightened sense of intuition.

Soros' biggest obstacle to NWO (after America)
is Religion. He has to break down Religion.
That means he has to disassemble Israel
since the Jews are supposedly the chosen ones
in the Bible. The Islamic states are in the perfect
geographic location to conquer Israel. so these are
the nations he has to take out the Israeli sympathizers
out of power.

However, the poor un-suspecting Muslims think
they are doing it for Allah and freedom. They're not.
they're just helping Soros get to his final objective.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. They are
just being used as a means to an end (literally).

Sanctas simplicitas! I'm going to have to chew on that (isn't Soros Jewish, himself?) Really, that is the last thing I'd have thought of (so, Thanks :-) I guess) More interesting than I could have imagined.

I'm not into prophecy. Today has troubles enough of it's own.

here's ya some proof the article is a lie.

Egypt has rounded up members and leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in advance of tomorrow's protests after Friday prayers. It's a good preventative measure no matter who wins this power struggle, although I am sure the American Muslim Brotherhood proxies, i.e., CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MAS, MSA, are up in arms, frothing at the mouth and trying to get Obama or Holder on the phone.

Egypt arrests Muslim Brotherhood Leaders

Please note that CAIR is mentioned as being a Muslim Brotherhood
Proxy. Do you know who funds CAIR ????

(Soros, a currency speculator and drug legalization advocate, is a major contributor to Tides, having donated more than $7 million.)

Tides has also given grant money to the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Ostensibly a “Muslim civil rights group,” CAIR is in fact one of the leading anti-anti-terrorism organizations in the United States.

www.discoverthenetworks.org...

That's right, George Soros' Tides Foundation funds CAIR who funds
the Muslim Brotherhood who was arrested by Egypt for the
protest. This is a direct connection between Soros and Egypt.
I have different links connecting Soros to Tunisia, but that's
a different thread.

I'm just following the leads folks

No, Soros is a confessed Atheist
according to his 60 Minute Interview
in 1999.

However, he was raised as a Jew in a Jewish family in Hungry
until he started working for the Nazis in WW2.
He was 14 when he changed his name from George
Swartz to George Soros so he could avoid the gas
chambers.

My gosh. If I could whistle through my teeth, I would've. I'm familiar with CAIR, but didn't really make the connection (Soros repulses me in the extreme. I try to pretend he doesn't exist)
I'm going to read your links before I ask any dumb questions, but my first thought is how IS he staying alive?! meaning how has MOSSAD not taken him out?

Thanks again!

re the post below this one. I remember the Swarz/ Swartz thing which I guess is why I thougt that

The telegraph, with supporting documentation, is asserting that the US is behind the recent protests in Egypt and plotting to instill another more democratic government in its place.

This being true, clearly Mubarak has out reigned his usefulness, but how?

The front runner in the media seems to be Mr. Mohammed Elbaradei. Will he be the new puppet?

If this is true, it is outrageous and also draws into question all the other mideast protests and overthrows over the past few weeks.

www.telegraph.co.uk
(visit the link for the full news article)

Mubarak obviously was standing in the way of the Agenda for The New World Order just like Kevin Rud was so he was replaced and many other leaders - all the chess pieces are falling into place. I think the NWO pushers are sick of messing around with the middle east and getting no where so have decided to let them all join together in frustration then they'll move there final piece into place. W.W.111 this will help depopulate the planet for them and they won't give a sh.. about US lives. It's funny how all of a sudden they're allowing Gays to join the Military and want to allow Women to serve in combat - I wonder if it's because they know they're going to need pawn on the chess board to the last person standing.
Sounds dramatic I know but we're seeing and finding out things we would never have believed would have happened. I think everyone throughout the world knows there's something Big coming and I don't think we'll get much warning either. Just a gut feeling!
