Airspoon MIA???

Well I got a u2u from a member here at ATS
which asked me about the disappearance of one
of the great posters here at ATS, Airspoon.

I befriended Airspoon and have read almost
every thread he created and have followed
along with his posts for quite some time.

So it disturbs me to think that Airspoon
has disappeared from ATS for a month
with no word from him.

According to his profile, his last login
was December 29, 2010 and absolutely
nothing since that date.

he did not leave a message stating he was
leaving ATS so his disappearance was quite
alarming.

I checked his youtube channel and his wordpress
blog and both seem to be in the same condition.
Abandoned since December 29, 2010.

I would like to find out what happened to Airspoon.
His profile doesn't show him being banned so I'm
assuming it is ok to inquire on his status.
If I have crossed the lines of the T&C, then please delete
this thread as I have no idea what happened to him.
And please forgive the inquisition.

So I'd like to issue an APB to ATS,
is Airspoon MIA ???? Any ideas ???

I seen that before as well. I wonder what happened to Airspoon? He quickly climbed up the latter here at ATS in less than a year. His threads and analysis was amazing.

Well hopefully he will return here some day. Also I pray nothing has happened to him.

Hadn't noticed yet but most certainly remember Airspoon. Liked his postings.
I myself are not so much of a "community" guy but some people are more online than others so you remember them.

Hasn't this Phage person also not been seen a while ?

Is he possible in combat or do you feel its more sinister. Also do you know anyone who personally knows him that can call his home ect. send him a home letter.

Where does he live?
It's summer holiday time here in Australia..
Many go away for the holidays.

I do not know if Airspoon is current military
or not. His avatar has an airborne insignia
on it so he may be prior military as well.
As far as being in combat, usually they
will know in advance of a deployment
and will give notice. But Airspoon disappeared
without a hint which lends to the conspiracy side
of my thinking.

He must have just needed a break from ATS! Getting on these boards daily can drive you crazy,

Now that's really weird , as I was just this morning wondering what happened to him , and checked his profile also to see if he had been banned , or if he had spoken of a leave of absence .

Was he active military ? Maybe he has been deployed ?

Yeah, Airspoon was one of the better posters on ATS, in my humble opinion. But I see no reason to be alarmed that he hasn't logged in for a few weeks. I think people get too caught up in the whole ATS experience and forget that some people have a life outside of it.

I just hope he's been a bit busy lately or something harmless like that.

Let's hope he's back soon.

Yea hopefully he is just away visiting someone but you would think there would be a computer wherever 'spoon maybe. I too was wondering what happened to Phage. Weird. I hope they are both safe and just taking a break from all that is going on.

I think it's great that you care about his whereabouts...I really do.


With that said - why not contact a MOD instead of throwing this in the GC board..? The absence of an individual doesn't equate to a conspiracy, nor does it warrant fanfare.

Any who, ATS members are people, and things happen to people. Vacations, injuries, change of interests, relationships (love!), death.

From what investigating I have done thus far
he appears to be an American. About 30 yrs old
according to his youtube channel and his last
post on ATS he says he is Jewish.
The insignia in his avatar shows 82nd Airborne
ties. But that is speculative at best as one's
avatar does not always mean he is
affiliated.

These threads do vanish, btw, so everyone grab your chance to say something you'd only say on the last hour, so to speak.

ats is more than a feeling. It gives you things weeks, years, in advance of the prole news, media reports. Moreover, most ats material simply never makes it to the airwaves. But a lot of it is relevant material, and is always more essential in vitamins than anything on tv. I am down to 12 tv channels, and I say that the lower level rations are desultory. That'll kill you way before this place will. Once you sift the trash from the household input media streams allowed by law, you'll see that what is going on here is clearly about to become made illegal. Enjoy the sands of your freedom.

From the sound of his writing, spoon is ex-military, imo. I cannot put a finger on the thing that convinced me of this. I enjoy his threads and contributions.

I see, does seem strange. Hopefully he just went under new avatar like a lot of old members. Again good luck and S&F for caring about other members. As we do tend to cover some sensitive topics here knowing and unknowing.

I've seen Maybe's messages that he was taking a break, but he still logs in from time to time. Airspoon and Phage seem to have just vanished. Where did Phage post about his break I hadnt seen that. I check their profiles from time to time to check out any new threads that I might have missed.

I must say though since ATS has been left to the new generation it does seem to have suffered a bit.

It's good to keep up on members. I mean, we are a community (in a sense). Some of us aren't regular posters to any other site (ATS is the only one I regularly post to).

This is how we all found out about SHOTS. I posted a thread titled, "Shots were are you?". Sadly, we found he had passed away.

I like AIRSPOON, I hope he's okay.

This is possible, although he seemed stalwart enough to handle it.

It's hard to stomach everything here @ ATS. So many extreme angles at the same time. I sign in every day and read as much as I can. I don't agree with everything, but trying to see things from every angle has made me more tolerant to others ideas AND more able to handle personal attacks. IOW, it has made me a better person.

I liked Airspoons posts, and hope he's OK.

Yes, I agree. We are a community.
ATS is like my online family.
Some family members are more
cared about than others, lol.
But family still the same.
And since Airspoon was like
one of my brothers, hence the
