Why am I seeing this crap at the top of the page? Numbers are a Human invention. They mean nothing outside of our own brains. NOTHING! Numbers adding up like this has happened before in the Earths lifetime and I guarantee it will not be the last time. Quit making a big deal out of something that means nothing.

So many people in here talking about how the number 11 has been standing out lately. It's funny that nothing was said about it till this thread if it's been standing out for so long, I wonder why no one decided to mention it till now... oh wait, it's because you didn't realize how it was "standing out" until you saw this thread! It's a psychological effect, get educated people. It's the same reason why people think the number 666 stands out.

The front page threads on here are getting stupider and stupider every day. This site is just starting to be disappointing. I know you all have brains, use them.

Joined just to show you this breathtaking observation I had.

Did you know if you take the last 2 digits of your birth year and add the age you will be next year. you will get 112? lol. WTF

This is quite simple really. It is just adding up to 2011.

2011 - 30 = 81 so that would mean that 1981 -> 81 + 30 = 2011

Nothing creepy about that. The same thing can be accomplished with a tape measure that goes to at least 10 feet.

1). Take the tape measure and pull out 120 inches.
2). Fold the tape over on itself and line up the "0" with the current year (2011).
3). Find your age (30 would be 30 inches).
4). Look at the number that matches up on the opposite side of the tape (it will be the year you were born).

Exactly. Its like, say you just bought a Dodge Charger, or want too, or read those words, say, just now. You'll see em everywhere. They were there before, you just didn't care so you didn't notice.

omg this has probably been said, but thanks to base 10, and things like algorithms, you can do all sorts of mathematical juggernauts. Seriously this entire thread is nothing more than humor. I knew about this sort of thing in 1st year Uni. Our professor in Logic math wanted to interest us and did all sorts of interesting algebra, logic, etc.

Sorry but you skeptic type guys are just plain wrong. Its not about an inherent power of the numbers themselves. Its about synchronicity. The psychic ability of people MAKES the numbers meaningful through the acausal connecting principle of synchronicity. The numbers don't need to have any magic of their own. Our own collective psychic ability plus the patterns in our collective psyche gives certain numbers all the "magic" they need.

don't attack people for noticing something. this website is all about "DENY IGNORANCE" and so they've noticed something that was frequently happening in their lives. just because it hasn't in yours doesn't mean ad hominem has to come into this. also you're contradicting yourself when you say that numbers are a human invention yet they've been around since the birth of earth, unless you are implying we have actually been around that long and i am just misunderstanding you.

here's an image to tell you what i think of this thread ....in my opinion i.e

Read through several of the posts and obviously by my handle "Sly1one" I am aware of the 11 anomaly.

However I would like to address a few things that I think are just artifacts of mathematics as I like to call them.

First, getting 111 by adding your birth year and age is an "artifact" of mathematics because next year it will add up to 112 then 113 then 114 etc etc...this is also an artifact of man made calender systems as we only acknowledge 12 before recycling through the base 12 again. There is no significance to this in my opinion.

Also, the appearance of significance this last decade is due to again the "recycling" of numbers we created.

After each recycled "century" this anomaly repeats because of what we artificially created as a calender. This happens once every 1000 years or so because THAT is what we chose as the "recycle" point.

If we had a 13 month calender (which by all logical and common sense we SHOULD) next year we would have 13/13/13

Anyway MOST of the 11 coincidences we will be seeing this year numerology wise are due to the artifacts of mathematics and cyclical calenders/systems we have devised.

There are some legitimate numerological oddities with 11 though that are completely outside of man's artificial creations. Those are the ones that are of importance in my opinion.

I see the numbers 11:11, 1:11, 10:10, 12:12, 9:11 and 12:21 all the time.

Mostly 11:11, 9:11 and 12:21

Mine only adds up to 110...

this is just too funny. I noticed that when I read this thread the time here in Seattle was 1:11 p.m.

made me laugh. I always smile when I see 11:11 and such, it makes me feel that something good is coming our way.

Numbers, sure created by humans but whats behind numbers like the understanding that 1, or 2 or 3 exists and all the tricks till infinity concept is obviously beyond most of our current cognitive skills, this is fundamental esoteric teaching and is not for the modern dumb age people. # i wish i understood this # better.

Idk about pobble but I'm not a skeptic. But its a thread about numbers that doesn't add up and the fact that its simple math that's been explained repeatedly and a lot of posters still don't get it because they so desperattely want to see somethng that just isn't there (I'm strictly referring to the birth year math part here) and that's a whole lot of ignorance on here that needs to be denied. Quick.
