You are on my list as well. I have added several friends here. For a short time, they were posting above member names their status as your friend, but the site stopped doing that. I suspect it took up too much query time.

If you go to your personal member profile, and click on the friends link at the top, it will take you to a list of your friends recent posts. That is a nice feature, I am not sure if many are familiar with.

The flaw in your maths is that you assume that immigrant brithrates reamain at 4 each short generation. wWo has kids aged 20? They may do so in Mexico but will they do that in america over each generation? who wants a big family under these circumstances of job uncertainty and a high cost of living. Immigrants come with very fixed ideas that they cheerfully alter within five years. Have you heard of the Irish? How many of them have stayed true to Catholic teaching on birth control????

I don't bu y it.

Poor living conditions may increase the birthrate. It is 8 in Gaza.
The actual Hispanic birthrate may be as high as 7 according to some government statistics.
Hispanics come here to have children. They get free medical care, free education, free food, welfare for there kids and themselves and free citizenship for themsleves and their kids. We are paying them to come here and have kids.
People of lower intelligence seem to have more children. My mother asked a Hispanic women how many kids she had and she said,"17 and only one is in jail." Even if the birth rate declined to 3 which is a TEENY TINY ITTY BITTY family for an Hispanic, you get 400 million from just 20 million illegals.
starting with 20million illegals,half female
3 children times ten million equals 30 million first generation year 0 to 5
20 years later
15 million females have 3 children equals 45 million
40 years later 22 million females have 66 million
60 years later 66 million females have 99 million
80 years later 99 million females have 150 million
150 +99 + 66 + 45 + 30 = 390 million in 80 years

When are they going to start having 2 kids per family? It wont happen until they have become the majority everywhere.

What will life be like in the US be with
700 million plus people? And that doesnt count
all the immigrants to come for the next 80 years, plus their relatives. Those numbers are just for the 20 million illegals.

Less people, more space and more resources than itty bitty Western Europe, we live ok, but your culture will change radically, probably not for the better.

The first generation to grow up here in the U.S. typically has about the same number of children as other Americans, maybe less.

I don' t think our immigration problem here in the U.S. is as bad as in Europe.

Islam is a much more serious problem.

JR I friended you back. We will have heated moments of debate but it will end cordially as that is grown up friendship IMHO.

I got to wondering about the basis of the friendship. Is it recognition of similar thinking or is it middleclass recognising middle class?? There is no answer but just hold that thought and read below.

How can white culture be a basis for bonding without unity against a mythical "other"? To date white cultures have been used as a basis for a united front against the mythical other.

How can a white collar in say middle management bond with a blue collar manual worker? Especially when the office is such a segregated and class-ridden place. Assuming both parties are not snobs I still cannot see it. Or would it be like sport buddies or bar regulars?? The problem is that the days of the manual intellectual have gone.

Just thoughts without answers.

Thanks tiger5, but in even asking your thoughtful questions, I see part of the answer. The fact that someone is interested in "deeper" things, should perhaps be important to all of us. The converse situation being those who are too shallow and selfish, and might not recognize a "deep" concept, even if they stumbled upon it.

For me personally, I generally prefer to interact with those who not only can go beneath the surface of things discussed, but also those who show some emotional commitment to issues they consider important. It is these who often teach me things that I would never find myself. It matters little if I agree with them, when we can show each other our "hearts", even in small ways, the things we care about, there is this "connection".

I suppose just about anything, even one small thing perhaps, can become the catalyst for a "connection" between people. Perhaps each enjoys a simple hobby, or sports as you mention, or merely having a few drinks to relax, but whatever it is, what's amazing is that it really doesn't have to be that much. Why is that?

But I also think that you're right about the "class" situation, which is certainly on-topic, even if some of us don't think in terms of "class", people within similar classes would tend to have many of the same concerns, and more commonly, they might find things to talk about, "agree" upon, and even disagree, although if they are in the same economic class, they will probably find themselves agreeing more that not.

You mention recognizing "similar thinking". I think we all enjoy "kindred" spirits, but what I've found is that if we are a bit more "open", and we can even momentarily lay aside our natural "protective" biases, and prejudices, we will get beyond those things that "separate" us, in the healthiest way.

When I say "healthy", I mean that each person stays true to their own ideals, stands firm perhaps, and yet honestly tries to put him/herself in the "moccasins" of that "other". It really doesn't take much, not much more than the proper "attitude", IMO.

I think I see what you're saying about culture, white or whatever people agree to call it, not necessarily being a strong basis for "bonding", as you put it. Look at Germany, simply being German, could it be "enough" in the sense you speak of? Hardly. Which is why our masters do in fact love to keep us busy with the "enemy" du jour. Just as in good literature, someone needs to always wear that "black hat".

You're so right about the segregated workplace. It presents probably too many obstacles, and not enough "opportunities".

About 15 years ago, before I left the corporate world to chart my own course, I was a middle manager, with employees, and within the 10 to 20 people I typically managed, there was a spectrum of "class", because I had to wear multiple hats, due to budget cuts. On one end, I had a young MBA, a great number cruncher, and we could chat about the stock market, commodities, etc. On the other end, because I found myself in charge of Quality Control, I had a small crew of "auditors", who were taksed with physically going into the warehouse, driving "man-lifts", etc. In that group, I had younger people, Mexican and Philippino immigrants, one very sharp Asian guy, and one older Native American woman, who had never had a job off the reservation before.

I have to admit, I "bonded" better with my MBA, and the sharp guy from Thailand, than I did with some of the others. The Native American was an interesting case. She was astonishingly intelligent. I could rattle off seven things to do, and she would actually remember all of them, unlike some of the younger folk, who would stare at me with a look that said, "I partied too much last night"! She also had this desire for "deep" considerations. I actually liked her, but she apparently suffered so much from a very sad self-image, she was eventually fired. She saw me as simply "the Man", or whatnot, and didn't see that I had tremendous respect for her. Yes, I had to enforce tardiness rules, etc., but none of that was really "important", to me at least, when it came to evaluating people, and their "quality", if I may say so. No doubt, she went back to the reservation, and continued working at the casino. But she had so much potential!

Class does indeed separate us, whether we like it or not, but we are all very much the SAME, at the most fundamental level, and life should teach us this.

Last thing. I have "racist" friends, and religious and nonreligious ones, and artistic ones, and intellectual ones, and ones who like to work with their hands. Whatever their "label", they are just "who" they are, for so many reasons. And I can accept that, and then look past differences, and when I do, I find that they aren't all that different than me.

The world is full of potential friends, who have so much to offer, if we can just get past our own issues. What would our masters do if they couldn't "divide and conquer" us so easily?

Sorry, I'm long-winded.

JR

Um, you cannot assume that it is only wealth that lowers the birth rate. Religion is a main factor. Catholic or Muslim, birth control will not be allowed in more traditional belief structures. Also, for many with low rates of education, especially in women, how one gets pregnant is not fully understood (Of course people get the nitty-gritty of sexual intercourse, but the devil is in the details).

My Catholic grandmother had 9 children. Her daughter (my mother) and all her siblings had one or two children each, different goals, different belief system. No one in my family goes to Catholic church every Sunday except for my grandmother. (Excluding my born-again uncle, but he's not Catholic).

Look around you man, all the people you see are children of immigrants. Where did they come from four generations ago? Also, over 80 years you are not factoring in death. You are not factoring infant mortality, soaring poverty in this country, the fact that less immigrants will come with this stops being the "land of opportunity" (as it is grinding to a halt in that respect).

Before we get into English as an issue, I'll nip it in the bud with the following statement: The first generation born here speaks both languages, but usually is embarrassed by the parents' native language. The second generation will understand a few words, but won't speak the language of their grandparents.

The third generation has roots in that language in last name only.

So, do not worry about English.

I don't disagree. Technically speaking (ha), technology is everything from the iPhone to the ox-drawn plow and a mere adz or club. Technology is anything that is an extension of ourselves, beyond our limbs, senses or mind (external).

So, of course Europeans had and furthered their own technology, as well as adopting, adapting and making it more adept in some circumstances (also specializing, like gun powder from China).

I'm quoting this from You Tube

Very few are really racist by definition. problems arise when cultures are squashed together & people lose identity. The tension created by multiculturalism awakens the defense mechanism. If a white person gets bashed by a non-white, it is likely not shown by the media. The media tries to shame white peoples natural instinct to protect their culture and denounce it as racism. What that does in effect is to divide and conquer white people. Ignore the media.

I think you have to look into the specifics of each minority and have a look at what they are saying to see what is creating the divisions to get a picture of racism in our societies.

One need only visit any of the larger enclaves of immigrants to see this isn't so. Of course, if a family is isolated from other speakers of their original language, the children will lose that tongue.
But, if that language is spoken within a growing community, it will not simply vanish in the proximity of English. Take Quebec for example.

I think it is a question of commodities and commodifiactaion. People fight over scarce resources. No one ever fought over water in a lake but will kill over an oasis. Jobs are in short supply and people end up fighting because foreigners (i.e.non whites) are taking our jobs they claim. This is an ignorant stance often as people need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Before we get into English as an issue,

They still speak French in Canada.
America will always be richer than the
third or fourth world, even as it is
now third world in many areas. So
it will always attract immigrants.
Hispanic Catholic Indians will not have a birthrate lower than 3 which will
create a billion more people here in 80
years. There is no substantial death
rate until 80 years as the immigrants
are young people. Infant mortality is very low, not 60 percent as in ancient
times.
You are just dreaming not thinking.
The difference between humans and
animals is supposed to be the ability to plan many years ahead. And the NWO is doing just that. Sheeple dont plan
ahead.
