Maybe you should go back and look at your posts.

First of all, your playing into exactly what people want, and proving your like every other cop we are stereotyping you as!

Second of all you have 0 stars on the last 4 pages, nobody here is agreeing with you or therefore cares what you have to say.!

Fail!

Here's a goody for you!

Lets face it there is more revenue in harassing and fining productive citizens then in stopping real bad guys. I wonder how any "tickets" and "fines" are issued as opposed to robbers rapists and murderers that are taken off the streets?

But Barney has to act like everyone is a criminal to justify his cowardice in harassing many more honest citizens who have harmed no one instead of going after real criminals. They also assist all the alphabet agencies who have no lawful jurisdiction in the states or they will get cut off of all those federal funds they get to buy all kinds of fancy equipment so they can send swat teams and ramming vehicles to bust down doors and arrest pot smokers, or tax protesters, and even raw milk users...

My brother passed away in 1995 a broken man for what they did to him. Where ever he is, it aint here. I enforced the law and acted honorably. Some very bad people who raped, murdered people ( even children ) are off the streets. Even with the few bad apples, you can't seriously believe that civilization would survive a nano second without law and order and people like me to stop the ones who would rob and kill you and your family. God forbid this ever happening, but who would you call if a family member of yours was murdered?? Would you just say, " This wasn't very nice of them to do " and go back to the bong?? COME ON!!! BE REAL ABOUT THIS!!!

If I worried about the opinions of self-important nay sayers who just bitch because they can't make the world act the way they want it to, I wouldn't have been the honorable public servant I was. When did you ever stand for something you believed in regardless of what others thought? It most likely never happened....as soon as it got rough, you rolled over just to please the crowd.....no guts

this is fine recording a traffic stop as well as an accident, as long as you dont obstruct the officer in anyway in the performance of his job and as long as it is not illegal. (check your states recording laws). i didnt care if someone recorded me as it works both ways as well. in effect it protects the officer and if something happens your video is subject to discovery by a court of law.

Nah,not to be trusted any of them round my neck of the woods.Pfft, what a sad way to live your life 24/7 constant suspicious on all & sundry & busting your nut trying to be that step ahead of the rest & deem it necessary to outphsyce whomever you demand an audiance from.(Apologies if i missed posts previous) I must say though im glad to not read any nasties regarding the Ol' Police Horses(Police greys in my parts) for they are indeed an exceptional animal. the people that have been murdered, raped and extorted. who exactly are you specifially refering to? writing tickets doesnt generate revenue the way you think it does. yes there is revenue but do you know what these money goes toward? most it goes back to you, the general public in many ways. when you get a ticket and you pay the fine the money gets split and sent to many programs that arent covered by taxes.

you must have had either been arrested continue to violate the law or you had a bad experience with a police officer. no one said we are perfect but the majority try and we dont get support from the people we arrest, why should we they are pissed at us for them driving drunk and killing a family. its my fault they decided to get behind the wheel and drive drunk. its my fault that they robbed a bank. the people who committ these crimes dont take responsibilities for their actions. my original post you reponded to still stands........ i have been on both side of the fence..

FarFromEden,
Your posts are both naive and ignorant. You would benefit greatly from spending some time learning what common logical fallacies are. As an impartial observer of this thread it is disappointing to see you so poorly represent the police.

The more you attack us remember, your just proving our point it's actually pretty amusing, especially since your attacks have no basis and we really don't care what your opinion is. You can't win here sorry!

Look what started this, we were just discussing our rights, and you came in, and started defending all your buddies and attacking us.

the people that have been murdered, raped and extorted. who exactly are you specifially refering to?

I am refering to millions of honest everyday citizens who have harmed no one yet police have busted into their homes intruded in their lives extorted money taken their property and even murdered them if they resist such thefts.

writing tickets doesn't generate revenue the way you think it does. yes there is revenue but do you know what these money goes toward? most it goes back to you, the general public in many ways. when you get a ticket and you pay the fine the money gets split and sent to many programs that arent covered by taxes.

Well first of all you should look into what are known as the CAFR funds (google it) for your state and county. You will discover that is not where the money goes. However for sake of argument lets say it does. It was still taken against ones will. I don't know about you but most people define taking something against ones will as theft. However insert the word government police or taxes etc. and everyones logic and reason shuts down immediately. The fact is victimless crimes are created to extort money under the guise of protecting the public from themselves and it is done against their will which is theft however you paint it. But its ok if you steal from us as long as you give some back in some program we don't consent to either... Sigh!

you must have had either been arrested continue to violate the law or you had a bad experience with a police officer.

No I used to think the police were largely decent folk with a few bad apples doing a tough job but no longer. It seems beyond your comprehension that honest law abiding citizens would complain about having their money stolen from them against their will at threat of gun, imprisonment, and even death if they resist hard enough. Millions of people who have never commited a crime or been arrested feel this way. millions more who have been arrested for victimless crimes yet remains productive honest citizens also feel this way.

Are you capable of stepping back and seeing the other side instead of just assuming the only ones complaining must be criminals? If one is not harming anyone and no man or women has brought a claim against one then there is no crime. If one is not wearing a seat belt, or goes over the speed limit, or smokes some pot ( I don't personally) etc. etc. who are they harming? Yet you and your fellow officers see fit to intervene in their lives and take their money, substance, and freedom against their will when they have harmed no one. It is amazing to me otherwise intelligent people can see nothing wrong with this. You and your fellow officers are the enablers of theft and extortion and ultimately tyranny.

Take a step back and ask yourself every time you enforce a statute if the person whose life you are now disrupting and taking their money and time against their will from and possibly arresting etc.; who were they harming? Everyone agrees that if I come to your house and take your stuff against your will that is theft. How is it any different when police or courts do it? Just because some majority group of people agree it is ok for police to do it doesn't change a thing it just makes them a larger gang who can force their will on the individual, it is still theft. If you do not have the right to steal i.e. take my stuff against my will as an individual where in the world do all those individuals get the right to do it collectively and hire a private army i.e. police force to do it? By force is the only answer and it is wrong period!

no one said we are perfect but the majority try and we dont get support from the people we arrest, why should we they are pissed at us for them driving drunk and killing a family. its my fault they decided to get behind the wheel and drive drunk. its my fault that they robbed a bank. the people who committ these crimes dont take responsibilities for their actions. my original post you reponded to still stands........ i have been on both side of the fence..

You mean your original reinforcement of your false paradigm that only a criminal would complain about your actions still stands. I am sure you believe you are right and that is the problem. You are unwilling to even step outside the box for a moment and consider you are harming your fellow man against his will WHEN HE HAS HARMED NO ONE. You may have taken a some real criminals down too however that does not justify the harming others who have harmed no one. No one ever said you guys don't take some real criminals down however that does not preclude your wrong actions otherwise.

Lets be honest. You guys write far more tickets and perform more petty arrest to people for victimless crimes then you take real bad guys down because there is more money in harassing and fining productive citizens! I fail to see how taking a few real bad guys down justifies perpetual extortion and theft of honest citizens. I guess it goes back to the thin blue line propaganda myth society would crumble without you, even though society has existed long before police and did just fine. You might want to read a little something written by one of our founding fathers Thomas Paine called "Society is a Blessing but Government is Evil" mises.org...

Bottom line until you step out of the "cops good, people bad" box and take a real look around you will continue to piss off honest law abiding citizens such as myself and millions of others. You guys could be heroes if you started living by the original maxim of law; "No harm = no crime" and maybe started joining organizations by the thousands such as LEAP Law Enforcement Against Prohibition Then you might begin to get the respect you think you deserve.

But those are problems You shouldn't have to have insurance and also most cops use they're power badly

So you think you can say whatever you wish in a public forum and no one should challenge you?? That isn't going to EVER happen as long as I am an ATS member. Just go back to watching Jerry Springer, cry-baby.

Your the minority here not me, and jerry springer lol what are you talking about? You are so far off on your assumptions its hilarious, you really are proving how misinformed, and predjudiced you are.

I know for a fact I can say what I want on a public forum, and you are the only one challenging me without any facts, and stupid childish assumptions!

Must admit, this is fun to watch you make a fool of yourself and turn everyone against you.

Most people don't like cops for the exact reason your showing us; you don't listen to facts, you think your opinions are facts, your arrogant, you instantly assume people are guilty (instead of the other way around which 'your' country was based on!)

You wont be a member here long if you keep this up

This will be my last post on this thread that you completely threw off topic!

KnowledgeIsPowre is very intelligent much more then you that's for sure, and he is higly respected here, you also obviously never read the rules to posting on ATS when you joined up.

I realise now I should actually feel sorry for you instead of mocking you, you clearly have a mental disability, and actually believe that your mindless attacks, and assumptions, actually have any effect, or that anyone takes you seriously. Of every thread you've posted on you have been the laughing stock of the forum.

Please think of how your making yourself look, and your fellow officers. Your only making people hate cops more, maybe thats your goal I don't know. I know very well thier are good cops out there, you sir are by far not one of them!

Your only making yourself look worse, and you will get kicked off ATS very soon at this rate!

I enforced the law and acted honorably.

That sounds like an oxymoron to me.

Some very bad people who raped, murdered people ( even children ) are off the streets.

Not to mention the scores of good, honest citizens who are also off the streets and their lives destroyed, thanks to your enforcement of victimless "crimes".

Even with the few bad apples, you can't seriously believe that civilization would survive a nano second without law and order and people like me to stop the ones who would rob and kill you and your family.

I think civilization would manage just fine with private security. You cops like to think pretty highly of yourselves.

God forbid this ever happening, but who would you call if a family member of yours was murdered??

A private investigator.

COME ON!!! BE REAL ABOUT THIS!!!

RAWR!

So you think you can say whatever you wish in a public forum and no one should challenge you?? That isn't going to EVER happen as long as I am an ATS member.

You want to police the interwebs now too?

You would hire a p.i. to solve your family members murder?? That's right, I forgot about all of the millions of dollars every p.i. spends on forensic science labs and c.s.i. people. And when the p.i. wants about $300,000 for openers, you're just going to whip out your checkbook, right? GROW UP, FOR GOD'S SAKE. Who would you hire to replace the military....the cub scouts??
