Sarah Palin? I find her to be an insult to the united states. Same for this "tea party"creeps. How can one take those people serious?

I don't believe that term was a mistake. Before she used the term "party like its 1773" and everyone called her stupid, but it was intentional and made sense, all it did was made everyone who made fun of her look really stupid. "Blood libel" is probably another idiot trap, IMHO.

I never understand why people have such an emotional reaction to her. Doesn't Obama use a teleprompter everywhere he goes? I don't think any president has ever done that much. And he's made gaffes before like saying there were 57 states. No one seems to notice those things.

ACTUALLY, i like alot of things sarah stood for while she was DOING HER JOB in alaska.... its after she got recruited for the joke ticket with mccain.. that she started to get out of control.

i kind of believe that she didnt write that speech.. i think alot of the trouble she gets in is playing the part they script for her... she seems like a great mom, she was a great governor in alaska.. maybe if she would have matured 10 more years in state politics... she wouldnt have done so many stupid things at the national level.

first step for her, is to START ADMITTING her shortcomings and mistakes.. she still needs to APOLOGIZE for the HIT LIST. the woman in the hospital with a head wound COMPLAINED that she was targeted and threatened. are you going to criticize GIFFORDS for complaining while shes on her deathbed

yep, every other politician who got up and made a speech on wednesday spoke of cooperation and solemn respect for the VICTIMS.. sarah whined like she was a victim.. and spent 80 % of her facebook rant blaming others.

congresswoman GIFFORDS herself, on youtube (below) says SHE FELT THREATENED BY PALIN.. are you going to CRITICIZE this woman on her deathbed.

again bad timing and NO CLASS.. she undermines all of her other good points..

When is Sarah Palin going to keep her trap shut? She is NEVER going to make it to the Presidency, not now, not ever.

This Sarah Palin needs to back off, shut up and go do something more constructive like housework or gardening.

BLOOD LIBEL and a GLOCK 19..

it can be said that a glock 19 has many legitimate practical uses. AND ONE VERY ILLEGAL ONE.

it can be said that BLOOD LIBEL has many historical instances of use and various meanings. BUT IT HAS ONE VERY DANGEROUS MEANING.

in its WORST usage BLOOD LIBEL implies that a JEWISH CONSPIRACY is killing CHRISTIAN CHILDREN.

the tucson killer used a glock 19 for the WORST REASON.
and sarah palin INDISCRIMINATELY uses it when a CHRISTIAN 9 YEAR OLD. just got killed by a JEW.

i dont think she did it intentionally WITH MALICE. but who knows.. and just like the HIT LIST it was again extremely irresponsible.. AND NO WHERES NEAR AN APOLOGY for her threatening actions towards GIFFORDS

Palins actions and rhetorics was promoting violence. I have been waiting for a crackdown on the violent rhetoric some republicans and tea-party politicians use for a long time. It is simply unacceptable to inflame the population in that way. People were bound to get hurt. The smart thing would be to tone down violence, in any form, because violence breeds violence. If you promote violence, there will be consequences. It might be that you are not held liable, but if you are a normal person you will have it on your consciousness.

I don't know.. I think they are trying to bring her down hard (which I'm all for). The dems don't like her and the GOP doesn't like her. Dems because she is an idiot and they think she will be really bad for the country. GOP because she has split the GOP in half and somewhat debased them.

I think this because before (before the tea party) when she was attacked it seemed like the entire nation were up in arms to back her, Now a lot fewer people. Also her show getting cancelled? I honestly can't imagine it got bad ratings despite it being more reality t.v. garbage. A lot of people like her, a lot of people were watching. Did she decide not to do it anymore, try to relate to Americans and drop it? Low ratings? Or was it dropped for other reasons?

I don't know really, but whatever reason this is happening I'm down for it.

For the love of cheesus, can someone not open their mouth these days without insulting the Jewish community.
I mean really.

The context is plain.
The media have been holding Palin accountable for the actions of Loughner.
Blood Libel.
The context of the Blood Libel reference is because it is a false accuation, the Blood Libel associated with the Jewish peoples is a myth, slander, propoganda, fear mongering.
Hence the use of the term.

I think Sarah Palin is much smarter than the original poster of this thread. She knows what is good for America, while the poster of this thread has no clue. I don't care if she doesn't know where African continent is located in the world map. I don't care if she doesn't know where Afganistan is located on earth. It takes a second to figure that out that in the Google Earth. But to figure out what is good for America takes a life time of observation and contemplation.

So if the controlled media or anyone blames you for something, you should just STFU. I don't think so.

Never keep your mouth shut if you are accused of something. I know the Reps and Dems like to make BS statements about people and then harp like a loon if the accused defends themselves.
In this case the "NEWS" does everything wrong again and that's OK according to some people.

I think Palin should have said more. Call the scum bags out on the slander.
I don't care if you are a drooling moron or a genius, stand up and fight back. Defend yourself all the time.
Oh ya I forgot, blame everyone but the murdering freak, is the way to go.

I dont know which set of muppets is the more rabid, the ones who love Sarah Palin or the ones who hate her.

Both sets of people need to get a life. Why is this silly cow so damn important? She talks endless amounts of uninformed rubbish and occasionally starts banging on about religion. Somebody like that shouldn't have ANY political power.

Religion doesent belong in society, much less the machinations of government. Look at that huge mess in the middle east. Cause? religion. We need less of that horse-crap. not more. Sadly the kind of folk that give this Palin troll popularity are frequently as backward as the woman herself. (and often own lots of cats)

We are doomed to be plagued by news of whatever this fool does because the media has got into their heads that we care. Honestly, if you hate Palin enough to even spend 5 minutes grumbling about her to anyone you are in fact adding to the problem about which you constantly complain. It spreads like a virus from there with the end result that anything Palin does becomes news.

Like most attention seeking annoyances, she would go away if we all ignored her. Sadly there is no chance of that happening any time soon. I think it speaks for itself that she is so damn arrogant she thinks she can just flip the publicity about the Arizona thing around onto her and can simply 'address the nation' on youtube like she is the President. What an idiot.

In an exclusive statement, famed attorney and Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz defended Sarah Palin’s use of the term “blood libel” from multiple detractors.

In an exclusive statement, famed attorney and Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz defended Sarah Palin’s use of the term “blood libel” from multiple detractors. As the Media Matters/MSM/Democrat narrative on the Tucson tragedy unravels, they are getting a lot more desperate in their attacks on Palin. Fortunately, there are still plenty of honest liberals around:

The term “blood libel” has taken on a broad metaphorical meaning in public discourse. Although its historical origins were in theologically based false accusations against the Jews and the Jewish People, its current usage is far broader. I myself have used it to describe false accusations against the State of Israel by the Goldstone Report. There is nothing improper and certainly nothing anti-Semitic in Sarah Palin using the term to characterize what she reasonably believes are false accusations that her words or images may have caused a mentally disturbed individual to kill and maim. The fact that two of the victims are Jewish is utterly irrelevant to the propriety of using this widely used term.

Sarah Palin is just a diversion. She's like a knight on a control freak's chessboard. She's a media phenomenon. She's as prefabricated as the Monkees. When her ruse is run she will smolder out and be replaced. She is like a political Britney Spears

It is obvious that she serves an agenda of divide and conquer. You can see that in the controversy she generated in this thread.

The real picture is much bigger than Sarah Palin. While we are funnel fed her, we are being fleeced by an incomprehensible reality that is our fate.

Sarah Palin is about Sarah Palin's purse and a insatiable female ego that's riding a cheap wave of cute and the sooner it hits the breakwall the sooner another shill comes into play.

This funnel is starting to hurt my throat. How about you?

Get real.
How is she going to know what is good for America when she doesn't even know how we relate with the world? Think she will be able to follow along nicely when they try to catch her up with our business with the countries of the world?

I was thinking about this last night. And I came to the conclusion that Palin DID use this phrase knowingly, hoping it would set her up as a victim. Here's my reasoning.

Would Sarah Palin use the phrase "blood libel" if she didn't know where it came from or what it meant? I don't think so. Considering her past run-ins with the press, I don't think she's stupid enough to use a colorful phrase without thinking about the media jumping down her throat. She would have checked out the meaning. Or her writers would have. This was a prepared statement. As much trouble as she's had with the media in the past for saying stupid things, I think a prepared statement would be VERY carefully crafted to omit any chance of finding fault with her.

UNLESS... she wanted them to attack her. After the huge hubbub about her phrase, she pulled the video - because the media were 'unfairly' attacking her AGAIN (from her perspective)...And her supporters rallied by her side.

Giffords is Jewish. Palin using the phrase "blood libel" to describe what the press is doing to her, puts her in the same 'victim camp' as Giffords.

(It wasn't libel anyway, as what people were saying about her was all true. She DID put that map on her site and she DOES encourage an atmosphere of violence.)

So, after thinking about it for a while, I think she used the phrase on purpose. It wasn't her foot in her mouth. It was classic Sarah... setting up a media storm against her, so her followers would feel sorry for her and come to her aid.

Very tricky, Sarah, but I've got you pegged, honey.
