Okay so my aunt pointed out today that EVERY member of our family who got a flu shot has been sick. The one person who refused to get one, me, has yet to get sick.

So my questions to you are, did you get a shot or not?
Also, have you been sick?

I have received a flu shot every year for the last 10 years, Not once during that 10 year period have I gotten the flu. This may be coincidence, but I don't think so. Prior to receiving the flu shot I almost always got the flu every year. My sister has gotten a flu shot every year for the last 4 years, and she has gotten the flu each year of that four year period.

I didn't get a flu shot...but I've been sick anyways lol, so I can't really help you there. Most of my illnesses are related to sinuses, because of my ears, but in terms of flu, only related to sinuses, and intestinal track problems cause of #ty food. What type of sickness, how long does it last, what are the effects, may help people out bro.

Ive never gotten a flu shot.

Ive had the flu once in my life.

The flu I usually get is the one where I am hugging the toilet all night while i barf up everything I ate from last week and so forth.

I refuse to get the shot. EVER!

Cant tell me there isnt crap in those vaccinations that cause more sickness and cause more harm than good.

My mom gets one every year. Gets sick anyways. Actually her health has been declining since shes been taking them

Me and my daughter got it, my wife didn't. All three of us have been sick at least once this season but nothing on the level of flu.

The last time I got a flu shot was about 8 years ago and that was the last time I got the flu. Since then I haven't gotten the flu. My kids both got the flu shot last year and they get sick, not sure if it was the flu, but it was pretty bad. So no you aren't the only one!

Personally have never had the shot, but still get sick at least once every other year, but It is definitely not the flu.

Whether they are detrimental & sinister or otherwise, I think the massive amount of advertising about getting one is just beyond weird.

thanks for the replies.. some of the symptoms they have (or had) are congestion, cough, runny nose, and a slight fever. Some have been sick many days and others get over it in a day or two.

Had the flu once and ever since have gotten the shots, have never been sick since, and the only side effect is a very lite sickness after the shot. like having the mildest flu ever, only lasts a day or two.
I was in the hospital for the flu, and like they say "you can never die when you want to" I never want the full blown flu ever again, it is a feeling i never want again. We'll keep getting our shots.

Never had a flu shot.
About 10 years ago, there was also a really bad flu going around. Half the people at work got it, and I remember my boss, who had never been sick a day in his life got talked into the shot, and he was out sick for about 3 months, and then working sick for another 3.
I only got sick for about a month, and I've never had the flu since.

I think the ingredients in the vaccine lower your immune system if your immune system is healthy, but if your immune system isn't very good, then the vaccine probably helps it.

Vitamin D, it really helps. Eating your fruits and vegies will also keep you healthy.

I've had the rockin' pneumonia and the boogie woogie blues.... BUT I REFUSE to get any forigen anti-whatever shot into my body by a pharmacutical cartel's evil scientest. If the flu-shot is your thing... More power to you.

i usually get the flu shot and often get sick anyway since the shot does not help against all strains of the flu. i have not gotten one this year and dont think i will. i guess if i get sick my body will have to build up its own anti-bodies and i'll get over the old fashioned way, time. heres in hopes you all stay healthy this year!!!!

I used to get the flu shot every year. Then I missed it a few years and those years I did not get the flu. So I stopped getting it. The last time I got it my doctor asked me if I had gotten it at work and when I said no he gave it to me. Then I got sick. That was the last time. Also, I'd like to mention that every time I've gotten a vaccination shot my joints have been sore for hours afterward and now I have severe arthritis....I have no proof of a direct connection but it is all strange.....Personally, I do better without the shot.

I've received the flu shot 2 times in my life...those are the only 2 years that I have ever had the flu....
I will never get another flu shot in my life. They don't work IMO...

Every year a guess is made on which strain is going to be the dominant strain...then a solution is rapidly prepared and mass produced to be distributed across the country to hospitals and clinics.
Oh and BTW - Surprise!!! Your shot includes the the untested H1N1 free this year!!!!

Then...IF they have chosen the correct strain...your percentages that the shot will take still suck and are actually a lot lower than most people think...

If it was more effective then you wouldn't have the hordes of people every year that get sick even after the shot...it's not just a few either - I see it every year at my office when everybody but me in my department gets sick.

I suggest that the annual ritual of the flu shot has not helped us resist the scourge of flue but has in fact made the population's immune systems, as a whole, less resistant to disease because of this scheduled suppressing of our natural immune systems every year with a new poorly tested, poorly produced, polluted injection full of toxins and biological remnants.

I've never gotten a flu shot. I get the flu from time to time, I tough it out. Some people like my younger brother are real babies when they get sick, I'm not like that, I stay functional. I don't think I'm going to get the flu this year. I started taking flax seed oil to reduce my cholesterol, fish oil gives me indigestion. One of the benefits of flax seed oil is that it enhances your immune system. I've been taking it since September and I haven't been sick yet, a lot of my friends and relatives have had colds, but not me. It will be interesting to see if I get sick this year.

I haven't had a flu shot in my entire life as far as I'm aware of, and I haven't had the flu since I was a kid. I think I was ten or eleven the last time I got it.
