Did ATS Set a New Record Today?

I think we have. There are new intriguing posts everyday, and new members coming every day as well.

It appears that just a few minutes ago, ATS set a new all time high for members logged in at once.
On the ATS home page there is a compiled list of new posts, new members, members logged in, etc...
There is also a list of a few records for ATS usage.

This is what it appeared to be a few minutes ago, and we are over the previous held record of most members logged in at one time.




Alot going on in the past few days, especially ATS related, but just wanted to share this accomplishment with everyone!
Congrats on the ever increasing popularity of our ATS home.

6000 guests!! Is that a lot?

Well i believe you authored a thread last night that might explain for the 6000 guests.
I am not sure what the average guest list is here, maybe we could ask the bouncer.

I've been lurking around here since the Tucson shooting. At first I was looking for laughs to be honest, but I was rather surprised by the quality discusions. Made account 15 mins ago lol.

I was looking at stats today too. Seemed to me to be a huge influx of new members since the new year, so I had a look.

New member accounts: Past 24 hours: 157
New member accounts: Past 7 days: 4,668
New member accounts: Past 30 days: 3,025
New member accounts: Past Year: 30,973

Wonder if that's a record for new weekly member joins.

I remember reading in a thread some time ago that some of these numbers are not accurate however.
If you look in what you posted, there were more new members inthe past 7 days than the past 30 days.
Impossible dont you think?
Unless we count the time travelling members.

I was thinking they may be going by 30 day increments. As in the month of Dec, we gained 3k+ but I did see the discrepancy.
Still enough new names on here to make me go whoa...lets have a look at the stats. I've been a member a couple years now and I don't remember there ever being this big of jump in new names. I don't post a lot, but I read here all day long. I'm seeing tons of new people.

The bug that you are referring to was inherent in the pre ATS 2010 format. The stats are now accurate and updated on a fairly consistent basis (not sure how often the update occurs)...

I believe that there still is a bug in the 7 day stats...


I do agree that it would be wonderful for all those guests to join and share their thoughts on the massive variety of topics here.

I thought so about the 7 day bug, I believe SO explained it well in the thread I remember, but I dont remember which thread...
Anyway though, the water sure is fine here, the longer you stay the more you will be able to see that.

I thought it was about the time of Yawn Goody and the predictions something about federation of light, or somthing like that...but, they must have been removed(hoax) after a quick search Se arch results for Oct 7, 2009
