You know what's funny? Well I find it funny... This guy is "christian" so nobody dares to say anything about his twisted views on who deserves to die...

Oh, if only this guy was Muslim... The FBI and DHS would have picked him up, searched his home, taken his computers, detained him, and found some excuse to keep him in jail indefinitely...

Why isn't anyone doing anything about this guy?

Sweet fancy Moses!

These people literally make me sick. I am a christian, and what they are doing is not something my God would approve of.

THIS is the reason why people are steadily leaving, denouncing, and other's are loathing the religion.

This thoroughly disgusts me. The man and his minions will have plenty to apologize for when they grace this planet with their final breath.

I have seen them on tv here in Australia a while ago. Sounds like they party and feed of the sombre energy at a funeral, basically make dicks of themselves.

I had regular heated exchanges with his grand daughter on Twitter.

Now there is someone brainwashed into thinking everything Grandaddyoh says is the be all and end all.

These are vile characters and make vague references to the Bible in an attempt to class their sick acts as 'just'.

I would not usually reply to a post about an incident which happened in America. I would consider it to be bad manners; similar to getting involved in a family argument.

This is completely different.

This little innocent victim, as far as I am concerned, is as much a war casualty as any soldier in the field. This so-called 'preacher' should have been stopped in his tracks years ago. He wasn't, and now this child is not being allowed to be buried in peace.

Shame, shame, shame.

I had no idea about any of this...why the heck would anybody in their right mind want to protest at funerals? Not very nice for the bereaved. Fred Phelps is a crazy religious loon, possibly even a terrorist by some standards.

Another fine example of an extremist Christian spreading hate, fear and violence.

And we're all worried about extremist Muslims doing this?

I've said it before, and I will say it agian - FundaMENTALIST Christians are the number 1 threat to democratic societies in the west, NOT radical Islam.

This has nothing to do with Democrats or Republicans, this is extremist religiously sponsored fascism.

Someone buy this guy a nice hot cup of STFU.

The Revenant.

Wow, you got stars for that post? Christians are the threat to blame when you have to take your shoes off, get groped and zapped with radiation every time you fly on a plane. They are also the reason Americans are kidnapped and beheaded in the middle east/south east Asia and Africa. So how many people have members of the westboro Baptist church killed? Or how many people have been murdered by"FundaMENTALIST" Christians in America?

I'll save you the embarassment of the 1st one you'll name, Timothy Mcveigh was a self-proclaimed atheist, whose mantra was "Science is my religion."

I would like to make a wager with you Christ haters:
- Starting today Jan 10, 2011, lets tally the number of new murders done by Muslims in the name of Islam vs murders done by Christians in the name of Jesus. (not just done by persons of that faith)
- Whichever group gets to 20 persons first wins.
- If your group wins you have to delete your ATS account and never return
- I will be on the side of the Christians

Any takers?

Good point King.. I won't take that bet,but what year did Christians stop killing for Christ? When did we stop stop? WW2? No,we all know the catholic church looked the other way.. for a long time.
www.highbeam.com...
I'm not going to go Google every war fought for the sake of Chistianity. But to start talking Muslims verses Christians for a bet is a little off topic.
If you think this loon is entitled to voice his right to free speach at a murderd 9 year olds funeral...Go ahead, think that.
He's basicly a roadkill restaraunt. What ever dies that day,he serves it up and exploits it.

At the expense of other lives.

Disgusting.

You rang? (not really kidding, either. I have access to so much more than my own crew)
These are Charlatans, not Christians. I wouldn't want to be them when their time comes. Sick, SICK people.
Absolutely correct that all radical factions are equally a threat.

Yes that is the jist of it. They are not good chritians. They are not just excercising their 1st amendment rights. They are not democrats or republicans or whatever. What they are is a business. They get a high profile situation like this. They intentionally draw hatred and negative reactions to themselves. Then they sue. It's all about the money in the end.
For you posters who wanna go medieval on them. Remember that.

Vetern groups follow these freaks around as they protest funerals of soldiers and speak louder than them. That is the way you void this stupidity - with louder speech.

You never give the power to the State to ban speech you do not like because they will turn around and use it against you. Never forget what Homeland inSecurity has done with the power of the Patriot Act which was sold to us as a measure to fight Islamic terror. Now they have expanded their war against the American people with scanners and molestations at airports and they have put mainstream political groups (constitutionalists, Christians, second amendment rights activists, war protestors, people who protest the molestations at the airports, etc.) and activities on the terror list. Everyone is a suspected "domestic terrorist" now.

The State is neither a friend nor foe. It is a machine. It has to be constrained within constitutional boundries or it will gobble us up.

Ugh.

I hate this group- and group is probably the best thing to call them. I know other posters have said this, but there is nothing church like about this group- save what they put on their name. If anything it is a familial cult. They follow no theology nor true teachings of the Bible, just what Fred has made up. So who even knows if his Salvation guidelines are in line with what is said in the Bible.

With Fred's history of exhorting, harassing, and etc as a lawyer-it's clear to me he's just moved on to another arena where he is free to do the same thing he was doing before-and where no one can disbar or defrock him. He's in it for the tax free status, what little money he might get- and the ability to just be an asshole to folks while getting in the news about it too.

Yes, he is practicing his first amendment rights-whatever. Doesn't mean what he is saying is right.

Alas,

There is no right for hitting someone for being hateful.

Agreed. It is the allegations of child abuse I am more concerned about. Some posts here do sound like there is a mountain of evidence available. Have there been any previous investigations? Any published doctrine or other stuff that supports this?

There's nothing you could do to "take care" of these people that the survivors wouldn't spin into martyrdom for their beliefs. "See! Satan has sent that man to silence our leader for spreading the truth of God!" or some other such BS.

Get a restraining order so you can have SOME peace. Anything more drastic than that would only fuel the fire. There is no reasoning with them. They will refuse to listen to your point of view or honor your requests.

There's no word for these "f*k heads" that have such unwavering hatred, blindness, and ignorance.

This. I would SERIOUSLY be up for paying my "respects" when this guy finally does kick it. How much jail time do you think one would get for drawing a giant penis on the guy's face with a Sharpie?

To all of you saying why doesn't anyone do about this stuff. 2 reasons there is nothing constitutionally to do about it because they are acting with the 1st amendment. Also almost all of them are lawyers or are studying to be or used to be lawyers. They know the law better than we do. Not supporting it but just saying why nothing can be done, also they do not advocate murder, they just say someone is going to Hell, it isn't nice but it isn't murder.

He did advocate murder though in his latest video, he calls on like minded people to Laughner to go out and kill more people... I would think that would be crossing the line....

Sorry I tend not to watch his videos so I wasn't aware of the fact. They are a powerful group as they are all lawyers, so it would be hard to act against them.
