Some more info on the Judge in this incident.
His name is John McCarthy Roll.

Judge Roll in 2009, faced death threats after presiding over a $32 million civil-rights lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed by illegal immigrants against an Arizona rancher. After Judge Roll ruled the case would be certified, threats came from talk-radio shows which fueled controversy and spurred audiences into making threats against the judge.

The threats materialized after one show, Judge Roll's name logged more than 200 phone calls as some callers threatened the judge and his family[3].

This resulted in the judge and his wife were under a protection detail for one month as Judge Roll was given twenty four hours a day, seven days a week security by the US Marshals Service. An US Attorney's investigation ruled that four men were identified as threat makers, but no charges were filed

So Judge Roll allowed an illegal immigrant to sue
an AZ Rancher for $32M due to Civil Rights.
He made lots of enemies with that one. They
even put him in protective custody due to death
threats. The page does not show if Roll was still
associated with this case or if there was an outcome.

be motive as well.

And way to make assumptions because, yes, I've been to a number of "book fairs." And let me tell you, they are NOT all so-called "liberal." Their primary purpose is to allow authors who are not contracted to big publishers exposure. Some of this is liberal, some is conservative, and some is neither.

Sure you have princess - yet somehow you don't know the difference between a 'Book' and a 'Book Fair'.

Me neither but I was close (to going violent). I was quite literally torn up inside. It is the closest thing to hell i EVER want to experience and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy!

Well one can always ASK what makes someone crazy. Is ANY crazy natural? That could be asked as well.
Schizophrenia is often considered to be a mixture of things - environmental, nurture, stress, even the age of the father, as older sperm tend to make more schizophrenics.

But did the govt. 'make him' crazy - that is a VERY interesting question. There's the classic "Was this MK-ULTRA?" question... "Was this the stress of war?"

I do think that the current political,military and economic environment is contributing to a lot more mental illness.
That's without MK-Ultra.

I have a big issue with the govt. coming out and saying "If you have this political belief, you're to be suspected of terrorism." It gets reported in the media more like "If you support Ron Paul, you're a terrorist?" But people on the edge won't read it like that. There are people out there that will see it and think, I am? I guess I am. This might have been the case here.

We have a society that tends to measure success in terms of wealth and economic prosperity. Nepal measures it in terms of how happy and mentally well adjusted their people are. It's interesting that we tend to have more material possessions and more crazy people, and they are happier and mostly poor. I think that there's definitely a connection between our values and our mental stability.

Im just making a point, not down playing this situation and it poses a problem. The guy was crazy, but there are many many many more people of his ilk in our society. This may very well give them ideas as well. He may even be a martyr to them. Im also pretty sure he must have an account here on ATS as well

If this shooting was political in motivation, then maybe its about time America stood back and look at how damaging partisanship has become.

Given the facts and the continued appearance of this '3 name' phenomena with killers.... You have to admit that it as at very least it smells fishy.

Hillary is in the final throughs of pushing the UN law banning gun ownershipo by U.S. citzens.

Arizona just passed a very loose law allowing it's citizens to carry CCW.

The congresslady was trying to get all her fellow congressman to take a pay cut to help the budget. LOL

I think, unfortunately, that you will see more high profile shooting because TPTB want to take our guns away from us to push the UN law and to encourage states to comply with the law when it passes.

This will give TPTB -black bag groups marching orders to go out and shoot people who they deem are in the way and blame it on right-or-left wing nut jobs.
For those who do not know what a black bag group is I will explain.

There are always inside private - special operations groups working for the people who need their services they never report to anyone but one or two at the top of the company or other organization. This arms length assist is more often than not used illegally so the group must be used with the utmost disscression. Remember " the Bourne Identy" sort of like that. BBG they would have poiosoned him then made sure he had an accident, happen every day. KMG

Just a thought... If he was just attempting a go out in a blaze of glory plan, and is a smart guy, wouldn't he have chosen a republican get together?

It's truly sad how many people all over the Internet are using this tragedy to spread their own hate and radical agenda's. There are lot's of haters in this world and they always show up spewing their hate at any opportunity. You treat life likes its a sporting event where your side must win no matter who is harmed, no matter what you have to do to get your way. It's true of both the Right and Left as I said. Thankfully most of us lie in the middle where sanity, honesty and intellectual honesty exist.

I'm sure you will get plenty of entertainment as the radicals from both sides gear up to use this tragedy to their own sick, politically motivated ends. People will twist, spin and reform the facts to suit their needs and to further divide. The Left will blame the Right, the Right will blame the Left and the Sane will sit back and shake their heads at the insanity. Neither side will care about things like facts or truth. The only truth that will matter is the truth invented to justify hate.

Sadly the people participating don't seem to realize how they are being used and manipulated. Partisanship is a stealthy enemy that destroys societies from within.
