Because the birds are being poisoned in captivity and then spread around by humans. Whether being dumped from an airplane or scattered by hand, this is a man-made incident.

My theory is a coming bird flu pandemic or something like it. It is either to push vaccine sales or something more nefarious.

all very valid points....but my train of thought isn't thinking in terms of pushing vaccines (though it does make a helluva lotta sense). I'm thinking in of what the govt is trying to push us into eating what they decide is better for us. Perhaps the birds and fish are only the tip of the iceberg. Imagine what happens when cows start dieing in mass quantities.

I live on the Delta waterways in Northern California. For the past few day (maybe 5) I have seen hundreds of starlings flying in circles over the water, round and round for hours. I have not seen this before. Does anyone know of the activities of starlings? I tried to look it up on the web but could not find anything about flying over the water. We have had starlings for years but always on the wires, houses, trees, etc. I have NEVER seen this activity in them before. Any thoughts?

Hi I been visiting this site for some time now, and finally decided to create an account. Well with my introduction out of the way and the topic at hand I think pole shifts could be the likely cause. But this is a only a theory a very crazy theory that I have but what if this is connected to the death of John Wheeler to me this seems like a biological or chemical experiment. And he was a biological / chemical weapon specialist and the timing between his assassination and this massive die off of these animals is very suspicious to me I don't know seems like something really huge is going on.

I'm not sure what is causing all these deaths but apparently massive kills like what we have seen recently happen all the time.

That was my first thought, sounds more probable than suffocation.

Would I be correct in saying that the only "confirmed" reason of death for one of these flocks was a sudden blow like they were running into something?

The only thing I can think of is a possibility that these birds may be losing their internal compasses due to the pole shift. But the hole in that argument is that the "pole shift" didn't start yesterday it was over 150 years ago (at least when it was first noted). In fact the pole shift has most likely steadily been happening over all of history making it a natural occurance.

Or what? The purpose of the forum is to have discussion if you can't take being picked apart with logic stop commenting. Like I said before you are a typical google "expert" without field knowledge. You are entitled to your opinion but so are others. The difference is you act like you know. Which is very obvious are just google facts. You also react like a child having a temper tantrum to everybody who disagrees with you.

The fact is you have very little first hand knowledge of conservation, ecology, or the scientific process. There is a reason google doesn't get you a degree and I am positive by your statements you have no degree in any type of biology. Therefor are completely incapable of analyizing the data you are looking at. Much like the physics quacks who pretend they understand complex theories without mathematical backgrounds.

You have provided only proof that animal kills happen. You have provided no proof (because there is none yet) that these cases are just common occurrences.

Let me explain to you how real scientists will go about this process.

1st they will take samples in the field

2nd they will analyze the samples

3rd they will compare findings with those in the past

4th they will give an initial report on their findings

(that's where we are now)

Now they will start the real process which is keeping records of all the events this year, comparing each situation, comparing weather patterns, environmental conditions,pollution,genetics,spawning,mating,atmospheric conditions,current patterns, etc. Etc.

Then they will compare with their colleagues their results both locally and globally.

Most of this will go on in universities working sometimes with government agencies.

Professors will write articles for peer reviewed journals on the subject.

Eventually we come to a more thorough answer.

So for you an Internet googler to say oh I have the answer is utter rubbish(to put it intour terms)

This is why you hear scientists making statements saying probably. Probablies get over turned all the time (though that may not happen).

You however seem to know more than any scientist on the planet. As the days move on you will hear opposing statements (because that's how science works) from other scientists. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't already have them but they don't always talk to the media or post them on websites. They talk to colleagues and students.

My point is it will take a while to find out the true cause. Because you have no science backround and rely on media (without a science a science backround and with other motives) you apparently don't know that.

But it's ok keep making your absolute statements that even scientist who agree with you won't make.

That doesn't mean that we indulge every little fantasy that someone has. Its a lot better for the site if at least some of the people talk about normal reasons than everyone making a conspiracy out of every event that ever happens. How boring would it be if everyone just said "yep your right" to every thread.

If we want to just say "lets not try to explain things with natural explanations, this is a conspiracy site". Then the pixies killed the animals, communists or it was big foot, nanotech did it. How about jimmy buffet maybe it was him or Tom Hanks like I guessed. Maybe it was the aliens, and then what type of aliens, maybe the flashing lights that the FAA requires all aircraft use while flying attracted the birds and killed them.

If i seem hostile I don't mean to, but not every thing is a conspiracy and it seems that whenever someone points out something and then backs it up that is against someones idea, they either ignore it, or attack the idea on some small part or use arguments that have nothing to do with what is being discussed.

Not everything is a conspiracy and not every event is connected. Some are and I am not saying that this isn't something strange...yet. I only ask that we consider the idea that there is a normal explanation. Especially since if the media was not reporting all these events we wouldn't be talking about it. And we have evidence that events like this happen without the media reporting it.

I don't post a lot here because anyone who is skeptical of anything seems to get attacked eventually, at least in the threads I have seen.

My point was that most members aren't moving into that territory. They have some pretty sound theories that don't involve the supernatural even if they are conspiratorial in nature, and so singling out the odd explanations and inflating them to the point where you appear to be "worked up" doesn't help the situation. Saying "extinction happens" doesn't even begin to address the issue.

Yes "extinction happens", but in the day and age, with the advancements we do have, we have the opportunity to study causes and determine if we too will inevitably be at risk from a possible event, if we ignore the warning signs.

Otherwise we could easily have "extinction happens" on the tombstone of humanity.

I appreciate your thread on the FACTS, I really do, and I think it is very important to draw on the fact that these things do occur, but in this thread, I haven't seen a bunch of wild theories, just people trying to get to the bottom of the situation and determine if there is a connection.

We still don't know. We need to look into all of this.

It was making connections between strange cases that helped bring HIV/AIDS to the public awareness.

Still...there may be no connection between any of these events at all.

In any case, just don't sweat the odd theories.

I think this has to do with mind control, I know this is wierd but I think this have had to do with the insects, maybe all of the insect all around have united and mentally have thought of killing the birds and fishs with their minds, its sort of like judgement day for them.

or the most logical reason for me is that the earth is changing and the natural vibration of the earth is making them highly sensitive and stress and fear is killing them.

Why else would an American general YAWN the other day....when asked by the media his concern that China has developed a Stealth jet fighter and plan to build five aircraft carriers?
