The murder is very 1980s style mafia, so thinking this may have been something a bit more low level.
That could be how the murder was supposed to look.

Who knows? He certainly may have been privy to info that made him dangerous to someone.

Such a breaking story and yet we are aware of his movements.
How may i ask, obviously through store or street surveillance and internal tag...no ?

Investigators are focusing on several locations in Newark including the Newark Library on Library Avenue; the WSFS Bank in College Square; a McDonald's, Newark Emergency Center, Attila Wings and Bing's Bakery on East Main Street; Newark Toyota on Marrows Road; and Gardens of White Chapel on White Chapel Drive, the release said.

and the last part is ever so funny, or perhaps not so funny but shows the obvious.

FBI spokesman Rich Wolf said the bureau is "aware of the murder but not involved at this time."

Well there is always Project Blue Book, technical details of the Predator Drones like frequencies and further direction of that project. Knowledge of the Air Force's of counter-cyber-terrorism and other online policies.

The man knew and had access to a lot of information, if you think about it. Even common military logistics that we wouldn't care about but others would for predicting troop movements and deployment in order to circumvent encounters and engagements.

Just about covers what i wanted to point out.

This individual was an asset and was not in any way expendable. As i mentioned, a robbery gone wrong

Or the start of the purge!

Here is a little eye opener, if you have the time, plot the positions mentioned in my post via google earth or any other means that allows you a birds eye view and prepare yourself for a ride.

Wait a second ...

So, if he was robbed it's proof he was whacked because that's the standard coverup and, if he's not robbed it's also proof he was whacked because there's no motive?

Who knows, maybe that guy was selling info to China/Russia or some rogue group and he got murdered for it.

We'll probably never know.

Oh okay, good to know. We can go ahead and close-down this thread then.

So, who do you guys like for the championship - Oregon or Auburn?

For those in the "know"...the simple act of the body being dumped in a
trash can in a land fill says it all.

Everything else is irrelevant. The FBI knows about it, and I have a feeling
a few other agencies will have knowledge as well...

Bottom line, those that "need to know" do....it's done...not much more
will be done publicly or be made known to joe citizen, they don't
"need to know".

Well John Wheeler does not ring a bell..

Found in the trash sounds like a mafia/hitman job...

Sounds professional the way he died with little to no evidence left..

This is a conspiracy theorist dream for conversation.

I feel bad for the guy though, does not sound like your run of the mill
robbery/theft ordeal.

I think the fact that he had some kind of vague relationship with the Mitre Corporation is almost more bell-ringing than his presidential connections.

He also did work with biological weapons...

Wheeler's military career included serving in the office of the secretary of defense and writing a manual on the effectiveness of biological and chemical weapons, which recommended that the United States not use biological weapons.

...how do you know?... are you a personal friend?... family?... even if you are, you could not have been privy to all of his private activities, conversations or encounters...

...no one knows yet if his murder was "made to look like a hit"... for all we know, he couldve been porkin the wrong man's woman - or - he had a gambling addiction and owed the wrong man too much money - or - he got someone demoted or fired and they got calculatingly pyschopathic about their revenge...

Now u can take it or leave it, as I'm not really supposed to be releasing info about this, and I really have no evidence, but seeing its not classified top-secret or anything I don't see myself getting much heat over it. Rumors flying around DHS offices is that mr. Wheeler sold some secrets he was privy to to the wrong country I.e. China, russia, iran (still not certain as of now), well, our state dept doesn't handle what it deems treason too well and placed a hit on him by a top CIA assassin. When is the last time we heard of anyone being tried for treason that actually committed the crime? Nowadays we just "silence" the offender. CIA is judge, jury, and executioner within it's raks. Like I said, no proofe, just rumors around DHS offices, take it or leave it. If I get any hard proof, which I'm trying now, ill post more.

Obviously I don't know about Wheeler one way or the other, but to suggest that a - relatively - minor retired bureaucrat has 3+ bodyguards assigned to him (3 = the minimum number needed to guarantee 24/7 protection) and that that level of protection is normal, indicates the job of body-guarding is probably the single most widespread profession in America which - from casual observation - I can tell is not.

The British Prime Minister (according to press accounts) travels with a lighter security contingent when on holiday.

When Olof Palme was assassinated in '86 he was walking back from the movies without any bodyguards at all, despite being Prime Minister of a neutral hedge state during the Cold War.
