I'm now wondering who thinks they might be a contender for "oldest member" on ATS
Do we have any Octogenarians or Septuagenarians?

+1. That and the older I get, the smarter my father seems. I am in my 40s.

You are lucky to have that.

I have my son. I am trying to restart the father/son tradition in my family line.

I just turned 21 recently. I have been interested in UFO's since I was maybe 10 - 12 years old (basically, since I have been aware of their existence). I grew up in a conservative household and went to Church every other Sunday. Things.. just.. weren't.... clicking with that.. and all of the music I was beginning to really connect to for the first time in my life, stuff like Tool, Pink Floyd, Rage Against the Machine, King Crimson, really made me question "is what my parents and school and church showing me all there is to life?" I began questioning everything and eventually discovered Bill Hicks, who spoke so reasonably and passionately about ideas I resonated with. Bill's brilliant material presented conspiracy "theories" in a way that made sense to me, and set off the spark. That was when I was 19, having just moved out of the household. The following two years I have spent here on ATS, learning more everyday, and creating geometric artwork (a practice that has really changed my life)

There seems to be a lot of people in the 19-29 & 49-59 age groups on this site. I turned 28 in October.

I've always been curious about various unknown's that aren't usually spoken about.

Would have to say that if there was one point that I "woke up", it was late 2007. I had previous intuitions for the prior several years that society would collapse, but it wasn't until the end of 2007 that I saw it was no longer somewhat probable, but a done deal.

I went a bit mad, like most sane people would once they realize there society is insane. I see many people online and in person going through this same cultural shock. Everyday, people are redefining what it means to be a decent member of humanity. They are finding old social norms to be inadequate. I think we should continue to evolve individually, and collectively, until we more accurately reflect what is going on around us in a way which benefits our species and the planet. Sadly, I know we will learn many lessons the hard way in the process to reach a more stable world.

I'm 26 and I woke up at around 7:45 this morning. I had a cup of coffee, opened up the morning paper and read the following headline:

"The world is on fire, and you owe money"

I'm 64.

From birth I guess. Some of my earliest memories are OBEs - - and other paranormal type experiences

I remember wanting to leave this planet because I didn't belong here. Odd thoughts for a 3 year old I think.

Hello, Hello and Happy New Year to All Of You

Let's is
I'm 60 and my wife is......
I best not say
, I might wake up on New Years missing something down-below the belt

As far as waking up goes,,,,, My wife is from main land China,,,,,it would not go good for you to be openly going against the governments explanations of events.
Of-Course, she is an America now, ( as she likes to tell everyone ) she as had many questions and comes to ATS for answers or to read other peoples thoughts about things. She did see a UFO hovering above the Songhua River very early one very cooled winter morning when she was 11 years old, her father told her to never tell anyone and to never acknowledge what they had seen.

Now, when did my eyes open,,,,,,HELL,,, I worked for our government for over 35 years,,,,
,,,,,,, what do you think,,, I'm blind

From My Small Family,,,,,,,,,
To All My ATS Friends,,,, Happy New Year

I almost forgot,,,,,, Yup,,, It's All real

I'm 55. I started waking up in 1987. It's an ongoing process. Thanks to ATS I've become more open minded.

You're curious about ages and excited about ATS radio?

What? Are you? Sock of a lazy admin who doesn't want to run a database search of ages?

Well - that ought to tell you how cynical and questioning I am. And I have been, since a very young age, my relatives are a vast collection of assholes and weasels - I learned young

As far as my "age" - I am 44. Although I often lie and say 34 or "30 Something".

Stick THAT in your database!

Born in the year of nineteen hundred and eighty two myself. As far as when I'd "woken up", my natural cynical nature and lack of trust has led my to question most things since I was old enough to speak. Well, that was perhaps an exaggeration, when I was initially old enough to speak, I likely said things like "bottle" and "mommy" and "Machiavelli" (don't ask, I had an odd childhood)... but none the less, the initial point is still true! Being a student of history helps, as anyone with half a mind can look at a history text and know they're only getting one side of the story...

Wherever the mods move this thread, i was curious...

No special questions, how old are you fellow ats'ers and at what age did you see through the illusion? What was it that got you started denying ignorance? Was it a friend, a relative, or did you go it alone despite the public and their view?

My thanks!

P.S. very excited about ats radio!

I am 49. I began waking to the world of political, religous and most assuredly life illusions in the late 80`s but I didnt get past start until mid 90`s. Something happen that took me on a fast course into studying life. which includes politics, religions, cultures, they all tie into each other even if we think they are separates. By 2000 I was really beggining to understand what illusions we live within. And know I just look at the unaware and can only be stunned and amazed how deeply unaware they are. You are either aware or unaware no inbetween. Once you start wakeing up to reality quickly everything starts making sense, yet at the same words makes less and less sense. I am at a time in my life when I can try to help others but what my illusions and reality are usually is unacceptable to your common neighbor ( who is probably still stuck in illusions) we are all different and separate beings. some wake some never wake. I wish I knew actual people with like mindedness, outside the internet to sit a chat and exchange knowledge, and our lifes paths, find simularitys. hey peace out for this thread...kudos

23 here "woke up" about 5 years back. Started thinkinh independently 3 years back.

The true cause of conspiracy theorist is the transition of power in the world from baby boomers to non baby boomers. When we are old I promise you all we shall be called the next elitests by the younger generation. Quit feeling ripped off, your TWO dreams deep you "woke up" once now do it again and get back to the real life. If we aren't the next elites someone else will be and that's not how I want it
