He's not in the least bit awkward, very intelligent attractive man, and well spoken in his interviews. I found the emails not so much gauche, as depicting something about him, its a clue as to who he is.

Lol does anyone really care? Seriously, I know there have been a few mornings I woke up with a hangover, looked at my out box and face palmed over an email I sent. I am glad the people I associate with aren't total jerks, and didn't post it on the internet for all to see. Then again I have dirt on all them too :p

What next? Pictures of him drunk acting a fool at a party?

That is a very good point. This guy can't be having this much bad luck at once. I wonder how all of this is staged in the first place. Who is responsible for all the crap about this guy anyway? I just can't decide what to think about all this stuff.

Seems they are digging deep to discredit Assange.

Yes - I am waiting for real facts.

I was listening to a talk show the other day. The guest was one of the leading women authorities on rape. I didn't catch if she was a lawyer - activist - or something else.

Even she said it appeared Assange was being set up.

I just feel that the so called miss Elisabeth is hyping...or why dose she choose such a time to say this?

Well except for the fact he hasn't come out and said anything, his silence gives this credence. Otherwise I almost thought it was like a literary assignment.

That is your opinion.. I found them to be awkward and socially deficient. Not threatening, but the words of a true nerd.

Yeah yeah I know, I am just not sure why anyone would care about this particular story. People are obviously going to be curious what people that wield power over them are saying. Why would most normal people care about a bunch of loveletter type emails from one regular person to another? Then again people practically stalk celebrities these days, following their every tweet etc, as if it is important. My theory is they have a lack of a real life themself, so they follow other people's lives.

Somewhere out there someone cares, so it's a good thing these emails were leaked.

Being interested in, and stalking are 2 totally different things.. Everyone is curious about others comings and goings. I am... I like to hear dirt on people..

Tell me Gary Busey doesn't make you laugh... try it.

I also have a job, where I am on a PC all day... Surfing is a task for me daily..

When your in the middle of posting other peoples secrets and private info, you'd be a complete fool/moron to complain about someone releasing yours!

Thank God for a clear-minded person in this wild thread.

Seriously, if there is a leaked video of Assange and his chick in the shower, he should be proud. Transparency for all.

Here's a lie already. Assange did not have "long white hair" back in 2004. Look at some of the older photographs of him.

We should be focusing on the content and documentation of his life's work instead of these baseless rumors which are being created as a distraction.

Obviously Julian Assange is the only hopeful male who has ever in history been guilty of misreading an attractive woman's intentions

No laws broken. Nothing weird or sordid here, just some stupid tabloid rag trying to defame a man for simply being human.

Try harder next time.

I was trying to avoid this for sake of decorum, but... Dating with a significant difference in age is frowned upon, in case you didn't get it from post #1. I'm not saying that dating a younger woman is wrong for a person. However, in Western societies it's not quite kosher. If this wasn't the case, the whole thread would not exist.

Maybe if he was 60 and she was 19 there could be some issue, but he isnt very old, and it is actually pretty common for older men to date younger women this day and age. Not sure where you are from, but they do it all the time here in the states.

In any case these are two consenting adult people conversing as adults, freely and legally.

This is nothing more than an attempted character assassination that fails miserably.

I think its funny to actually see that Julian Assange dont take better care, when he is dealing with politicians and politics the way he is doing.

The rumors do say that he is very careful about the people he sees and where he sees them. For he's own safety.

He for one should know that he's phone and other assets are being closely monitored for any opportunity that would make he's life a living hell.

Assange is being used as a reason for the authority to restrict the public's access to freely use the internet.

Lol not sure what western society you are from, but it seems quite kosher to me... If it is so taboo or frowned upon, then why do so many rich people and celebrities do it? The only people that frown upon it in my experience are unattractive people. Unattractive old people that couldn't attract an attractive young partner, or unattractive young person that couldn't attract a wealthy and experienced older partner.

I've done it and I'm from New York. Hope that clarifies things a bit (even though I didn't date or e-mail 19 year olds, it was not as drastic).

Duh. "Money talks. Wealth whispers" (billboard in Geneva airport).

Bull. The media does voice whatever it has to say when the "bride" is a teenage girl and the "groom" is hitting his 40's -- Assange is simply not an exception. John Romero of Doom's fame did the same.

Lol doesn't surprise me any really. Age discrimination is like race discrimination. Can't help it that I was born white, and in 1982, anymore than anyone else can help that they were born in their skin or year. I hang out with people from 6 to 89 lol.

Case in point, Michelle Pfeiffer, 51. Denis Leary, 53. Many straight people of the opposite sex think they are HOT(probably many gay of the same sex too lol).

True. I expect that we'll have posts from the retarded Assange haters on here as well.

Here's a good thing to remember people: DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER!
