As a parent I can only imagine, but never fully understand how difficult that must have been for a parent, the sheer strength and love required to ensure your children survive.

I have this gut feeling that things are going to get bad here. The naysayers that think that they can stay and "fix" the problems are the ones living in lala land. The problems are really beyond fixing and if you would just look at and research any financial/economist blogs or newsletters you'd see that things are really not looking good. People of means (even if they are little) are transferring thier money elsewhere or turning it over for metals.
I don't think the majority of people have a clue what's going on..they're so busy in their everyday lives and thinking up their next clever post to facebook.
I not only want to move because the country is in a downward spiral but because i'm ready for a change. I'm sick to death of the materialism, consumerism, the govt waste..blah...blah...blah...we just want an easier life free from the junk/trash america has become.

How exactly are you going to fix america? Sorry but it can't and won't happen..unless you have the majority of people behind you...and you should already know that it's NOT EVER going to happen! Good Luck though.

While we see some parallels with Nazi Germany it is highly unlikely there could be a crack down like they did on the Jews. The Jews were already seen is different and people were suspicious of them etc. They were a much easier target then American Patriots who represent a cross section of America. Our culture and knowing the history of Nazi Germany makes it nearly impossible to target any group made up of a cross section of our people.

They know this and so they keep things localized and hit isolated targets infrequently. So as not to alarm the populace. We still have the traditions of freedom here also. We are a much larger country and they do not have the resources and logistics to control it in a Nazi style dictatorshipe. Any sort of mass crack down would cause a revolt.

I am not saying it is impossible but highly unlikely. A more likely scenarios would be some sort of national crisis like a Nuke attack or a pandemic where they can try to justify massive lock down of the population for "our own safety". IOW they cannot control the masses without voluntary compliance.

Still this is unlikely as we see their warnings of pandemic were laughed at by a large number of informed Americans. They are being watched and scrutinized more then ever before, thier MO more easily spotted and their OPs also. They are in a quandary because they see we are watching and don't know exactly how to proceed without causing a major revolt. They were disappointed we all didn't just march in to get our poison shots.

So now they are seeking to lock down the internet which as been instrumental in getting information out about thier BS they keep trying to implement. So they are moving slowly and cautiously. But increasingly more blatant and ignoring the will of the people. if they push to hard they will cause massive revolt. So they continue to try and kill us with the death of a thousand little cuts so to speak.

Still they are very crafty. They have fooled a lot of patriots with their wikileaks Op and will continue to get more sophisticated in thier ops as the American people become more informed. More people wake up all the time. it seems to little to late for many of us however in the long run it will force the pendulum to swing back to the other way. In the mean time we are in for a rough patch but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Stay focused on the light!

In the end I see no need to leave America. Although I have had that sentiment from time to time. However this is my home and I will live free or die trying!

Now, if our own troops turn on us (no, not Kent State level), it's time to hit the road, but until then, I think I'll ride this one out.

By then it's too late.

I think it's time to go. You should go while you can and work on bringing the US back to a free country from somewhere that you and your family will be safe.

I'd leave if I could, but I don't have the means to. No jobs where I live, no ability to move anywhere let alone get to a new country- even Canada (even though I live 10 minutes from the border).

Well then I guess things have certainly changed from when my grandmother was alive 6 yrs ago, because I saw what she had to go through to get the care she needed.

it was 8F the other day...and I just about died...literally! I cannot take the cold..i am dead serious when I say that sometimes I wear sweater in the summer when it's 85-95F...I'm cold natured i guess. I need heat and humidity to be comfortable.

Well, I believe you shouldn't draw parallels between the Nazi Germany and the U.S., because the Nazi Germany was a very prosperous country between 1933-1939 (Before the war). Everyone had jobs. Banks didn't have any true power. Corporations was ruled by that Government. Here you can see the opposite. No one has jobs. Banks and corporations rules everything.

The Nazi Germany, regardless what they did in WW2 (I'm speaking about the years prior the war), after the first financial crisis it was a really-really prosperous country. It was capable to live without any imports, while their wealth and money came from the exports of German stuffs what they created back at home. The U.S. is now at the edge of bankruptcy after the financial crisis and it's living is depending on import (Mostly oil import).

haha im in the most southern part of Canada. Windsor (right across the border from Detroit) and its the most humid part of canada cuz were right in the dead center of all the great lakes. lol.. so you might just love the summer here...lol

I should have said pre- Nazi Germany. and I said "some" parallels not all. We are definitely on a similar financial track as the Weimar Republic which opened the door to the Nazi takeover. We also are already seeing a trend toward a police state and government take over of corporations like GM etc. So I stand by my statement there are "some" parallels. However I also went on to point out some of our differences and why I don't think it likely for us to have Nazi style take over here.

1. Where will you go? The controlling parties have taken over every part of this world. The Grass may be browner than you think other places.

2. So When the American people decide to stand up to these corrupt people and governments, and finally give the country back to the people, will you then decide to come back and just take advantage of the freedoms you have not earned? (if you run, don't expect to be welcomed back)

3. Don't be afraid, the spirit of America will prevail in the end. They don't call us the sleeping giant for no reason.

4. I hold no respect for those who want to run, as you are turning your back on fellow Americans.

1 - You wont have control over who comes and who goes because you wont be president of this new America you so proudly know is coming apparently.

Regarding our other problems, let's look at them.
1) Debt. My solution in the "new America"? Repudiation. It isn't our debt, and most of it is BS anyway.
2) Problems with other countries? My solution in the "new America"? Isolationism. Let's fix America first. Let's rebuild our factories, go back to a gold or silver standard.
3) Other problems? My solution in the "new America"? Return to Constitutional government. Most importantly, keep lawyers out of legislatures. This is a huge conflict of interest for lawyers to make laws from which they later derive income. This is why our laws are so complex now.

What else do you want to know?
