This is the inevitable result of the war on terrorism. Everyone that is for truth and freedom is a terrorist.

I was watching a documentary regarding a Jewish woman named Bromm (surname) last night. She stated that she knew she had to get out of Germany even if it meant she left completely naked. They made her pay taxes for an extra year in advance and she wasn't allowed to transfer money or her assets out of Germany when she left. This woman got out when she could, while many did not, and they ended up burned in ovens or starved to death.

So, I've been thinking. What is that marker that says one should leave a country? I've tossed around the idea in the past, but never quite as seriously as I consider it today. Has America slid past the event horizon, only to self destruct and never again be seen?

If free speech is terrorism, then how long before we are corralled and gagged? If lies are the new truth, then can we in good conscious continue this descent? The media, the supposed bastions of free speech, have effectively ended free speech and dissent. The truly unnerving aspect is that much of the world seems to be following this lead. Here comes the NWO. Time to look for an out of the way property in South America if you have the funds. Otherwise, prepare yourself to leave naked.

Journalism = Terrorism. Patriotism = Mindless Subjection

Is it time to leave? Or is it time to change America back to the nation it used to be.

Go ahead turn tail and run, the rest of us will stay here and finish fixing the broken system. You people make me laugh. Seems everyone these days is ready to just up and run from their problems, sure United States has some big time issues right now, but nothing worth running away to another country where your just gonna find a different set of problems facing you. It's that mentality thats killing our country in my opinion.

I have been thinking the same thing for the last couple of years. The madness seems to be accelerating.

Questionable example, but the context of your post is worth the time for sure...

Leave..?

This is one of the few countries left where I CAN LEAVE if I want to...in addition, bailing out would mean the mess WE (as a collective mind you) created will have to be cleaned up by someone else. I would hope/think that many north americans would take issue with that.

Now, if our own troops turn on us (no, not Kent State level), it's time to hit the road, but until then, I think I'll ride this one out.

Canada is a very beautiful country no doubt, I have family that have lived there and enjoyed dual citizenship. But lets not lie about that "free" healthcare as it's not all it's cracked up to be if you need something major.

Well where I come from, which ain't too far from where your at, there is a saying and it goes like this, "Son, you better git, while the gittens good and don't look back, never go back to your past". But I suggest you take very warm clothes and if you don't have any being that your from Texas and all, I'd invest in some warm duds, below zero sleeping bag and some good hikers. If you send me a mail (hope that's allowed), you never know anymore, I have a suggestion that I just can't post here. To others it sounds crazy, but that woman was smart, really smart. Why wait for the sky to fall and blame it others, take cover and take care.

I'm not running. It was just a question and a thought. I work everyday to fix this da**** place. I actually get out there and do stuff in my community by raising awareness, spreading truth and just plain old volunteering to help people, so don't tell me I'm not doing anything. What are YOU doing?

Do you REALLY think that you or any one else has the power to fix your countrys BS... after you off every political human there are you gunna pay back your countries rediculous debts? oh right.. your country doesnt have real money to pay back those debts. silly me.

Instead of seeing it as running away from your problem you should look more twards " escaping"

All you "proud to be american" folks out there have your hearts in the right place. unfortunatly that place is a dirty lying sac of wrong-doings.

You should be proud of what America was SUPOSSED to be . Your founding fathers are turning in their graves at what their country has become.

Again. dont blame someone for not wanting to deal with that BS anymore.

My country was in the same situation if not even worse four years ago and we didn't run, but took our country back. Just in this year, our country is became prosperous, we're slowly getting back our good reputation, while former politicians are going to jail, and the thief banks, companies and the media is also getting it's rightful punishment because they lied and tried to ruin everything with their greed. So if we was capable to bring back everything from hell, your people can do the same. Hell, we're a small country, but we had the courage to face against all odds and step up against the entire Globalist TPTB, kick out the IMF, tax the banks and corporations, make new laws to prevent the lies of the globalist liar media, etc, etc... We've achieved all this within a year and now, we're happy. Very happy.

I know it's easier to run, but the U.S. is YOUR country. Those ones whose are ruining it must go, not you. If you leave your country, they win and you loose. Don't give up.

Every time I think maybe it's time to leave I feel bad. Like unpatriotic. I know nothing worth having is easy, and leaving is taking the easy way out. I do have children though, and struggle with that. My human instincts are to protect their lives at all costs, above all else.

I think back to the American Revolution and wonder how it would have turned out had we not fought. But on the other hand, traveling to another country was totally out of the question for most people then. It was costly, time consuming, and dangerous. It wasn't a practical option, if it was even an option at all.

So are we being foolish, living in the past, if we compare ourselves to those patriots? In a way, yes. Also, wars are fought differently today, and can be fought from other countries (Anonymous is a fine example).

I say there are alternative options available today worth exploring. But not surprisingly the OP's suggestion is already being attacked rather than carefully considered.

I think you are underestimating how deep the pile of $%#@ America is in and just how corrupt it is... if sites like this exist with America being 98% of the topics... theres a serious problem.

But I my self am happy to hear you guys (where ever you are) were able to make that difference. Congrats man and i hope all goes well and up hill from here.

Never said you weren't doing anything, just said if thats how you feel then go, just don't ask anyone to feel bad for you when you get out there and realize that not all that glitters is gold. And I stand by my statement that it's the run and hide mentality thats gotten us into this mess. And it doesn't matter what I am doing I am not the one contemplating on giving up on my country and leaving or even entertaining the thought there of. Too many people have given their life for the ground you stand on and what freedoms you have.

Actually no, I don't underestimate it. But we were in a greater #. Communism rings any bell? Now imagine that, with the strong support of Socialist NeoLiberals. Now we had that one in the last eight years. Those are worse then your present Government ever was. If I should fit the name "Destroyer of Worlds" to any Government branch, that would be Communist Socialist NeoLiberals (Each of them are dangerous alone, yet we had all three together.). Trust me, I know what about I'm talking. And if you believe you know what corruption is, you would just gaze on what these guys did. Your U.S. Government is nowhere comparing to these guys (Whose slowly goes to jail one by one.
).

And thanks. We've made a difference, because we wanted to make a true difference. But if we was capable to do that, you, in the U.S. can do it too.

This is our country, I will not leave!

I will not let the government make it "people are here for government"
----The government is here for the people!

I will not let them take our first amendment rights.

I will not move to Canada (no offence Canadians)

I will not let big corp take over.

I WILL fight with all of my being to protect the rights our founding fathers recognized as the basic rights of man.

I will not cower in the face of tyranny.

Your not alone. We are in the first stages of moving out of the country too. We are not heading south though...and definitely not north...NO offense to canadians but it's just too damn cold up there. I'm am excited and a little scared at the same time. I'm scared not for myself but for my little girls (ages 4/2).
I have this gut feeling that things are going to get bad here. The naysayers that think that they can stay and "fix" the problems are the ones living in lala land. The problems are really beyond fixing and if you would just look at and research any financial/economist blogs or newsletters you'd see that things are really not looking good. People of means (even if they are little) are transferring thier money elsewhere or turning it over for metals.
I don't think the majority of people have a clue what's going on..they're so busy in their everyday lives and thinking up their next clever post to facebook.
I not only want to move because the country is in a downward spiral but because i'm ready for a change. I'm sick to death of the materialism, consumerism, the govt waste..blah...blah...blah...we just want an easier life free from the junk/trash america has become.

How exactly are you going to fix america? Sorry but it can't and won't happen..unless you have the majority of people behind you...and you should already know that it's NOT EVER going to happen! Good Luck though.

And why not?
Sure it's not 'free', but surely you jest at the 'something major'? I'll tell you what, I was hospitalized for 6 mos. on and off. I had everything done to me that needed to be done. Without first hand knowledge, don't waste an opinion on this.

I knew exactly where that title came from lol.
I watched the same episode. I too thought about the possible parallels about restricted in country travels.
In the name of safety, papers please.

Given how bad things are, leaving would probably only give you new headaches where ever you chose to live.
May there be some sort of hope with the next generation in charge. God knows we blew it.
