Unfortunately we lost the war when that "Food Safety Farce" was passed click

Yeah, I know... was just taking a moment to enjoy the good news. I do know they are deeply entrenched, jeebus, we've even got their trolls in here. But that Judge's action has shown that their control is not yet at 100%. 99% maybe, but not 100. And that's important. A few battles like the beets can still be won. For a little while anyway.

Do I think we'll win the war? Oh man, I don't know... I keep thinking not, just like you... or at least not without a fight, a literal one, which'd be awful... but that judge did a great thing. Set them back a bit albeit briefly.

I tell as many people as I can about all this stuff, and thanks to this thread here I'll have more stuff now... but half the folks I "reach" are the choir and the other half don't respond so, who knows. It is frustrating. We need to keep writing about it and making videos so at least a few more will maybe see the light.

Groups like Food &Water Watch and Organic Consumers Assoc. were formed by the Ag Cartel well ahead of time and were able to convince the sheeple that the bill was for their benefit.

Now that I didn't know, but it makes perfect sense and I don't doubt it for a second. Slimy vermin! No effect on me, I'd never give any credence whatsoever to such obvious bull#.

I wonder what planet, or perhaps, what CORPORATION she comes from. By the way the clue to her actual background is in the words "science-based institutions"

Corporation's right... and I bet we can pretty well guess which one, eh, what?!

Thank you for your post, and comes just in the nick of time for me as my Final in English Class is a 8-10 Research Essay on a Social Issue. I chose GMO's and I'm definitely using some of your sources for my paper.

If anyone else has any alarming information about GMO's and/or Monsanto that I can use in my essay, please post here or better yet Private Message me as I will most likely come across easier.

No. Sorry, but you are wrong. They are not just accelerating the process. They are using an entirely different process. There is no chance whatsoever that selective breeding, which relies on the natural characteristics various plants exhibit, could accomplish the kinds of things they are doing with GM, a completely unnatural process in that the changes would never occur naturally in a million years.

No sorry but you are wrong. It depends on which crops you are referring to, if you are talking about the disgusting crops that produce their own pesticide or don't produce viable seed then yes you are correct but if you are takling about simple drought resistant strains then you are wrong.

As far as hydroponic science goes, all you are doing is producing designer plants, according to whatever colour, shape, taste or any other superficial quality, you might think of, but that does not mean it is a better and more nutritious product. We, as creatures who evolved over milennia in this world eating naturally occuring fruits, vegetables, and even a wide assortment of bacteria and yeasts actually need all that stuff. No scientist really knows all of the micro-nutrients and other factors that go into human health and no artificially created or manufactured product is going to be able to provide us with everything we need.

Man has used his brain well to accomplish a lot of things, but to imagine that he can actually make things better than mother nature is a silly and arrogant idea.
edit on 12/9/2010 by wayno because: (no reason given)

That is not what hydroponics is about at all and you are showing your ignorance about how it works. I have spent years growing hydroponicallly so i am quite sure i know more about it than yourself. all hydroponics does is to remove the soil and optimise growing conditions, nothing else. Doing this produces plants which often contain more vitamins and minerals. As for micro nutrients, well we know exactly what plants require, there are massive tomes of information on that and we can easily provide them using different fertilizers.

Hydroponics does not change the colour, taste or shape of a plant, what utter nonsense.

Bayer? How dare you implicate them.

They've only knowingly sold HIV infected Factor VIII to hemophiliacs all over the World and brought us other fine inventions such as chemical weapons like Mustard Gas and Zyklon B used in gas chambers.

Bayer Sued By Hemophiliacs

(AP) Thousands of hemophiliacs filed a class-action lawsuit Monday against Bayer Corp. and several other companies, claiming they knowingly sold blood contaminated with HIV and hepatitis C.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court, alleges the companies conspired to sell blood-clotting products that were manufactured using blood from sick, high-risk donors. It also alleges the companies continued distributing them abroad in 1984 and 1985, after they stopped selling them in the United States because of the known risk of HIV and hepatitis transmission.

SLAYER69, Thanks for the OP. What most people are NOT willing to understand is that this is INTENTIONAL.
Why do you think Seed Vaults have been built? The De-population Agenda is real.

The world's population has more than doubled in the last 50 years. This is unsustainable and will only grow worse. The Elite are already cornering the potable water on the planet. Iraq was a resource war.

We (most of the world's population) will be killed off thru a variety of means. Means for the chemical sterilization of people already exists. After the "Culling" is finished and Nature does not recover as quickly as hoped, there are the Seed Vaults.

So, all said and done, WHO is it who will benefit from the majority of the Human population of planet EARTH being 'removed'?

Find the answer to that one and we may have the answer to everything.

The Human race, when not distracted, is ingenious when push comes to shove AND capable of anything, including protecting itself.

I don't believe it is just the super rich, elites who are out to decimate the human population.

Someone wants Earth and we're not looking under the right rocks to find Them.

"Science Base" it depends who got pay for the right reports. and who the reliable science sources are working for.

Nothing more dangerous than a NWO corporate whore telling people what is good or not for them.

I am going to answer this in the spirit of "Know Thy Enemy"

Ever wonder WHY donations to "foundations" are tax deductible? Ever wonder why the Rockefellers have not one but three foundations?

I did a quick google on the writer. She is a NWO United Nations whore.

The key word is Sustainable or the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD-13) (the thirteenth session )

CSD-13 will conclude with a high-level segment from 20-22 April, when ministers will gather in both closed and open meetings, including dialogues with Major Groups, UN agencies and IGOs. In addition to the negotiated policy outcomes, CSD-13 is also expected to generate further dialogue among key stakeholders and support for voluntary commitments to mobilize further action on sustainable development. A Partnerships Fair, Learning Center and numerous side events are also taking place during the session. www.inesglobal.com...

She is just like Maude Barlow a “no dog in this fight” Canadian, who is a director of Organic Consumers Assoc and Food & Water Watch. Barlow has been handsomely rewarded for selling the US consumer out with an appointment as New Senior Advisor to the UN president on October 21, 2008.

She is just like another very loud voice in favor of the Food Farce bill, Orange Cloud aka La Vida Locavore aka Jill Richardson. Richardson also lists herself as a Consultant but she is "UC San Diego" Sustainability Coordinator and is working on the practical aspects of UN Agenda 21 as far as I can tell.

The Author of the snippet, Gwen Schantz, worked for GRACE as Program Assistant, Sustainable Table.

Sounds like the corporate take over of the organic farming movement doesn't it?

Maurice Strong after working for YMCA international realized how useful international "Grassroots" organizations could be. He started the United Nations Directed NGOs.

“...may have been the genesis of Strong's realization that NGOs (non-government organizations) provide an excellent way to use NGOs to couple the money from philanthropists and business with the objectives of government.” sovereignty.net...

That should read the objectives of the United Nations/International Cartels.

NGOs are extremely useful for sucking up young idealistic activists like Gwen Schantz and Jill Richardson and giving them "leadership" and training so they can be used to further the objectives of TPTB. Most have no idea they are working for the "Enemy" so are very enthusiastic in spreading their brainwashing.

Hitler recognized the power of this idea.

He alone, who owns the youth, gains the Future!
-- Adolf Hitler, speech at the Reichsparteitag, 1935

The Hitler Jugend (Hitler Youth), the NAZI party's youth movement, indoctrinated German youth to perpetuate the "1,000 year Reich." The Hitler Youth movement emphasized activism, physical training, NAZI ideology, especially nationalism and racial concepts, and absolute obedience to Hitler and the NAZI Party. Indoctrinating children in National Socialist idelogy was a key goal of the NAZI Party. Once Hitler assumed control over the German state, he used the Goverment to make the Hitler Youth the country's all encompassing youth movement. Hitler and other NAZIs leaders saw the indoctrination of young Germans as of critical importance....

The Hitler Youth were more similar to the Soviet Young Pioneers, but even with the Pioneers there were major differences. Hitler from the beginning saw the Hitler Youth movement as a tool to hardening boys for their future role of soldiers. He wanted a generation of "victorious active, daring youth, immune to pain." There was to be no "intelectual" training for the boys of the New Order, Hitler saw intelectual pursuits as damaging to German youth....
histclo.com...

The idea of indoctrinating young continued with "The ‘Innocents' Clubs":

www.heretical.com...
“...During the 1920's and most of the 1930's Münzenberg played a leading role in the Comintern, Lenin's front for world-wide co-ordination of the left under Russian control. Under Münzenberg's direction, hundreds of groups, committees and publications cynically used and manipulated the devout radicals of the West....

Most of this army of workers in what Münzenberg called 'Innocents' Clubs' had no idea they were working for Stalin. They were led to believe that they were advancing the cause of a sort of socialist humanism. The descendents of the 'Innocents' Clubs' are still hard at work in our universities and colleges. Every year a new cohort of impressionable students join groups like the Anti-Nazi League believing them to be benign opponents of oppression...”

And the idea continues worldwide with NGOs:

"Very few of even the larger international NGOs are operationally democratic, in the sense that members elect officers or direct policy on particular issues," notes Peter Spiro. "Arguably it is more often money than membership that determines influence, and money more often represents the support of centralized elites, such as major foundations, than of the grass roots." The CGG has benefited substantially from the largesse of the MacArthur, Carnegie, and Ford Foundations. www.afn.org...

In 1954 Lyndon B Johnson’s amendment changed the IRS code, prohibiting tax-exempt entities and churches from endorsing or opposing political candidates. Although this has largely stopped the influence of churches, it has no effect on NGOs Since they establish separate politically active lobbying groups to get around the tax code.

This change effectively hamstrung rural communities so they could not fight back against the CED's plans for ridding the USA of farmers. The fruition of the CED plan resulted in widespread social upheaval throughout rural America, ripping apart the fabric of its society [and] destroying its local economies.

This amendment to the IRS code, continues to effectively hamstring the American people in defending themselves against a steadily encroaching "Global Governance" pushed by a global elite though their shills the NGOs.

...One blogger reported that monsanto is not actively involved with wheat-hard to believe hard to believe....

She is completely wrong as I show below. Also I found that carbohydrate free diet cured my nightly reflux problem and my high blood pressure. A slice of bread near bedtime will start up the reflux problem immediately. Long term reflux causes the stomach acids to attack the lining in the throat causing permanent damages and sometimes cancer.

The USA's official "food pyramid" causes major harm. Obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and reflux to name just a few.

The wheat exhibiting these special baking qualities is the result of the labours of cultivators and farmers in India who originally grew these plants for their own regional requirements, growing them to bake traditional Indian bread (chapatis). As it is natural for these farmers to freely swap seeds, it comes as no surprise that this wheat seed has been stored in various international gene banks outside India for many years....

Unilever and Monsanto also have unrestricted access to these seed banks. They took the wheat to their laboratories, where they searched for the genes responsible for the special baking qualities. And, indeed, they were able to find the gene sequences which they had been looking for in the plant. In this connection, they were aided by the research results of various scientists as the corresponding gene regions had been undergoing examination for quite some time. It is this natural combination of genes which has now been patented by Monsanto as an "invention"."

It is still possible to buy older strains of wheat like Kamut, supposedly the predecessor of today's Durham they use in pasta. I buy it at the bulk store here in Canada. Another I have is called Teff. I don't know if they react differently with the body or not. I used to get reflux alot years ago but I resolved that a long time ago.
Unfortunately I have no idea if these forms of wheat are pure ancient stock or they have been tampered with. I think they were labelled organic, but not sure anymore.

Interesting how we have gone from bees and bats to humans, but it makes sense because we all share this one space. So long as it is taken care of we all prosper. The die out of those creatures is the signpost for what will happen to us too if we don't change.

It is going to become almost a religion for me I think, to buy organic when I can. To shop local to the extent I can. To avoid giant agro-business products to the extent I can. I know it will be hard at times but I think the effort is worth it.

I know that "organic" is now being done on a large industrial scale too, and has its faults, but its a step in the right direction. Better that than continue the old practices that are destroying everything natural.

I will tell you my strategy that seems to work.

Like you, even at farmers markets I got a big YAWN when I tried to warn people about the corporate take over of the food supply. Finally I came up with a more successful strategy.

Most people are up in arms about the bank bailouts, foreclosures, and unemployment. This is the hook to get their attention. From there I slide into what Nicole Johnson found out about the CED click Most people are appalled that there has been an organized plan since 1945, at the highest levels of society, to get rid of farms.

I then give them an index card with a punch list to google and pass the information on to ten of their friends. It includes info on the Federal Reserve, Nicole's two articles and most important what can be done.

What can be done comes first:
The fully informed jury movement
www.fija.org... and prorev.com...

The Tenth Amendment (State Nullification)
www.tenthamendmentcenter.com...

Another weapon, one every single one of us should be pushing for, is a state law allowing voters to recall federal Senators and Representatives as well as state officials.

I really hate the FED and Fractional Reserve banking. But if we are going to be stuck with it I recommend:

CAMPAIGNING FOR STATE-OWNED BANKS: www.webofdebt.com...
THE GROWING MOVEMENT FOR PUBLICLY-OWNED BANKS: www.webofdebt.com...

On Banking this one, by the same Lawyer who wrote the above, is a real grabber.
DOLLAR DECEPTION: HOW BANKS SECRETLY CREATE MONEY
www.webofdebt.com...

an easy read on the history is:
The Creature from Jekyll Island, The Federal Reserve a talk by G. Edward Griffin
www.bigeye.com...

A more scholarly and authoritative read:
A PRIMER ON MONEY: by US House Committee on Banking and Currency
www.devvy.com...

On FOOD:
Nicole's two Articles:
History, HACCP and the Food Safety Con Job
www.opednews.com...

The Festering Fraud Behind Food Safety Reform
www.foodsafetynews.com...

And a couple centered on John Munsell

www.cattlenetwork.com... LATEST_NEWS_

Legislators overlook serious flaw in USDA’s HACCP food-safety system—while promoting its adoption by FDA

Actually you are talking about two entirely different methods for producing new varieties. One is through breeding programs, perhaps with irradiation used to speed up the mutation process. The other is GM.

Think dude what does GM stand for? The Business Dictionary says this:

genetically modified (GM) food
Definition

Meat and edible plants radically modified through genetic engineering (GE). Although humans have genetically modified animal and plants since the beginning of civilization, they did it through selective breeding possible only within the same specie through natural reproduction over decades or centuries.

GE techniques, however, can transfer genetic material from any source to another to instantly create utterly different variants. Since alien genes are not welcomed by the existing genes, suppressive GE techniques must be used to force the animal or plant to accept them.... www.businessdictionary.com...
