The Metropolitan Police said: "He is accused by the Swedish authorities of one count of unlawful coercion, two counts of sexual molestation and one count of rape, all alleged to have been committed in August 2010."
UPDATE 10.14pm: WIKILEAKS founder Julian Assange has been arrested by officers from Scotland Yard's extradition unit. The 39-year-old Australian was held when he attended a central London police station by appointment. Assange was arrested at 9.30am (8.30pm AEDT) today and is due to appear before a district judge at the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court before 12.30pm (11.30pm AEDT). The truth is incontrovertible. Panic may resent it, ignorance may deride it, malice may distort it, but there it is What is the use of living, if it be not to strive for noble causes and to make this muddled world a better place for those who will live in it after we are gone?
You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police. On all sides they are guarded by masses of armed men, cannons, aeroplanes, fortifications, and the like — they boast and vaunt themselves before the world, yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear.
They are afraid of words and thoughts; words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home — all the more powerful because forbidden — terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.
They make frantic efforts to bar our thoughts and words; they are afraid of the workings of the human mind. The day may dawn when fair play, love for one's fellow men, respect for justice and freedom, will enable tormented generations to march forth triumphant from the hideous epoch in which we have to dwell. Meanwhile, never flinch, never weary, never despair.
Never give in — never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.

He should of known if he is smart that uk police use electronic mind control, so he has to be careful in his thoughts too.
Are you serious? How do you know this to be a fact? Do you think they will subliminally tell Julian to forget to release the encryption/decryption details?

Swedes always liked to play all sides of the fence, in order to chicken out of trouble, and the UK is a US-run proxy state.
