Not entirely true, most sellers HATE paypal, as it is being pushed on them by the ebay. Buyers are well protected on paypal while sellers are not. I had my own store selling authentic luxury brands, and they froze my account because of "SOME illegal activity" so they asked me to prove if the item is authentic, by asking for a receipt, I sell non new things, used(like new) worn once or few times. People don't keep the receipts most of the time! which they asked for, and as a common sense there are tags with authenticity numbers in the bags , clothing. They wouldn't accept it as a proof that my items were authentic, I mean, this shows that they only want to keep your funds frozen and collect interest rate on it .

Anyways, try contacting a seller before purchasing something, always do that, and ask them if the another payment option would work.
Amazon sometimes has better prices than ebay , so you can always buy presents there for your loved ones.

This is very true unfortunately the people who are advocating changing have absolutely no concept of what that means if your business is treid into an organisation that uses PayPal. It is not as if you have a choice in the matter really.

Also, to the poster above, I have looked at alternatives. Let me quote an example,

If you have blog and are looking for donations you tend to use PayPal because there are no setup fees. Other providers have a one time setup fee and/or a monthly fee. Does it make any sense to use that provider when you have no idea what you will be getting in? Would you want to pay out $98 to set up and $22 a month to get nothing?

There are numerous resellers for Authorize.net that do not require any setup fee whatsoever.

The monthly fees are also very low compared to what else is out there.

Alert Pay also has free setup, with no fees for personal accounts.

If there was a way to get your IP from ATS I would show you what real hacking is, hows about remotley overclocking your GPU so it dies a slow, overheated death? How about planting some iilegal material on your HDD and then alerting your local law enforcement.
