Earlier this year The Orion Project received more high-level harassment regarding their (The Orion Project) attempt to work with certain scientists to create alternative energy technology to disclose to the public. Within this group and those that follow it, it was a really big deal and Dr. Greer also used the tactic to reveal accumulated information on top secret codenames, named individuals involved and addresses etc etc all in a document that would be made available online and to the media in the event that The Orion Project or Dr. Greer would be taken out in some legal action or murdered. This is a classic move. He revealed this all online as well:

did the mainstream media(main t.v. news channels) run the story at all on a daily basis over a period of time to keep us informed?

Reading his statements is quite extraordinary to say the least. But there is little doubt that cyberwarfare is part of the future, whether with wikileaks or other information groups. I suppose to try to shut him up could be called obstruction of justice, but his being able to select and choose information at will says that he is gameplaying more than anything else. A serious issue is that the public does have the right to know when the public is expected to bear the costs of any of this. A serious matter that is suddenly becoming trivialized with a threat of blackmail. So his motives are anything but honorable.

lol, oh, yeah, and the US government is nothing but a clean cut man in a sharp suit with a happy family. Jesus Christ, Assange might be doing illegal things, but do you think the US government hasn't done illegal things in recent history?

Also, no point saying "Two wrongs don't make a right, maaaaaan", it's apparent that protests and hugging trees doesn't do piss all in the long run.

Well, I've seen most of the comments, and many are right, we aren't going to do anything about it. We've been programmed to mind our own business. Scared to anything, pierce enemies with glaring eyes. Yep, we'll just be lead to the slaughterhouse.

Uh no. I talk to many people, ask about the New World Order. Somehow they know about it. They watch it with a shaded eye. I think what's going to happen is that the people will wait until people are dying left and right... Well.. in my mind I don't think most are cowards, but I could be wrong.

Assange is doing what he feels he needs to do protect himself. I'm quite sure he doesn't want to die or goto jail for telling on the corrupt. I respect him. BUT... Let's look at this a LITTLE bit closer... is this a set up to shut down the internet by force? Look at the openings that could be taken from this incident. I mean come on, they're actually talking about spilling blood over some digital records. IMO he's going to end up dead anyway. The plan will be to wait and figure out who will release the docs when he is killed, and kill them too before the docs are released. It's only a matter of time.

If he ever does get killed, I hope the world populace realises that this is a way for corrupted nations to say "Yeah, we overtly killed a guy for sharing the truth".

And a star for you from every one of the 99% on ATS who love to hooray the idea of doing something, all the while flipping back and forth between here and facebook, maintaining a feeling of normalcy. I had to stop and ask myself just this week, what would I do if, and if, and if...And I am not afraid to admit, I was raised a suburbanite, and aside from some part deep within me making sure my children, as well as I, know how to can foods, make soap, and create items from those which are recycled I don't think I would stand a chance. I know my limits, and dearly hope I, nor anyone is pushed any time soon past theirs. This is not a time for any of us to pretend we are somehow subhuman. It is, in my opinion, a time to recognize our strengths, AND our weaknesses. We should not allow ourselves to be disillusioned into thinking we can overcome more than we are actually able. It is a time to know ourselves, and surround ourselves with those who are able to do that which we are not. I dearly hope, to all of my fellow ATS'ers, that you will take full stock of yourself, not pretend, and most importantly do not lie to yourself. There is where true unpreparedness lives. Actual disaster is much greater in real life, than that on paper, or t.v., ask anyone who has suffered through a natural disaster.
Sorry to rant, it just kinda came out.

My only issue with the insurance file is if it's that bad, we should know now..
He seems to infer it is bad, so you'd expect it to show criminal/illegal activity..

What if we don't get to see it??
That would be a real shame..

I just like the thought that many of the ATS community are actually sitting on these documents....

I wonder how many government groups and computer cycles are being spent trying to crack this?

Honestly, I think that would be the final straw for many... though not enough that the rest of the world would immediately know, but enough that generational seeds are planted...

You are wrong, allow me to correct you.

Stating you will defend yourself if attacked is not terrorism, to even imply such a thing is ridiculous

You are absolutely right. Terrorizing is not spilling the ugly truth of our corrupted government but our leaders will still play that card, anything against them are terrorists. There are no specific definitions of terrorism right now as it is still being argued but for a fact a terrorist is someone who terrorizes people and attempt to do any kind of bodily harm to people a physical act. I guess you can terrorize peoples credit and other things besides causing bodily harm but someone spread truth about our corrupted government is not terrorizing in my opinion. Of course a lot would debate that fact just like religion.

He just isn't believable anymore. While he gets arrested his followers will release documents that further inform of us of gossip and the 'slap on the wrist' type of stuff? Who wants that?

I really would have to see something of value, before I think he has anything.

He just doesn't have anything of value, and it was probably the Gov who led him along and decided to make an example of him in case they actually had to deal with something real in the terms of 'earth shattering leaks.'

He got used, and he never read up on stuff like NorthWoods and Gladio to realize the stuff they were supplying him with was 'set up' and very, very weak.

You're right, that isn't terrorism. In the UK however, this is how terrorism is defined:

(1) In this Act “terrorism” means the use or threat of action where—.

(a) the action falls within subsection (2),.
(b) the use or threat is designed to influence the government, or an international governmental organisation, or to intimidate the public or a section of the public, and.
(c) the use or threat is made for the purpose of advancing a political, religious, racial or ideological cause..

(2) Action falls within this subsection if it—.
(a) involves serious violence against a person,.
(b) involves serious damage to property,.
(c) endangers a person’s life, other than that of the person committing the action,.
(d) creates a serious risk to the health or safety of the public or a section of the public, or.
(e) is designed seriously to interfere with or seriously to disrupt an electronic system..

(3) The use or threat of action falling within subsection (2) which involves the use of firearms or explosives is terrorism whether or not subsection (1)(b) is satisfied..

(4) In this section—.
(a) “action” includes action outside the United Kingdom,.
(b) a reference to any person or to property is a reference to any person, or to property, wherever situated,.
(c) a reference to the public includes a reference to the public of a country other than the United Kingdom, and.
(d) “the government” means the government of the United Kingdom, of a Part of the United Kingdom or of a country other than the United Kingdom..

(5) In this Act a reference to action taken for the purposes of terrorism includes a reference to action taken for the benefit of a proscribed organisation.

Well I don't know what to say about your definition of a terrorist. Seeing that the
information provided was from Government sources, Looks like the U.K. is
calling the U.S. a terrorist.

1. It is the politicians/government employees who made the statements that
incite other governments. Are threatening JA with assasination,"or to intimidate
the public or a section of the public".
2. Wikileaks just brought it to light which is akin to informing the government
of a terrorist living in the same city which is what government wants to turn
the people into. (Ratting on members of society even if they are not terrorist).

This is just too funny. They want members of the public to inform them on
suspected terrorist (i.e., like they did in Nazi Germany and Communist Russia)
however they (Government) are the terrorist they are looking for according to the
U.K.s definitions. In other words, they are looking for themselves!

these are NOT the top secret high security files...these were supposed to be on a less secure government
line. these were released by american/s, these cables were on a line accessible to 2 million people apparently.

would you forbid woodward and bernstein to publish watergate?

assange is the journalist, the reporter, something few americans have experienced recently or in the last 10 to
15 years ,,, for instance, the media is just mind wash in america so that when we see a real reporter in action we
scarcely recognize him.

Damn not sure if its been said already, but I feel like this is just a way to kill him off as a "Terrorist" and claim he was spouting lies the whole time.

I find it funny that people are still clinging to this terrorist ballyhooey.

Don't you know? Uncle Al-Queda is a friend of the CIA and Uncle Osama was in bed with them as well.

Assange isn't a terrorist. The governments of this world that execute their own citizens are the true terrorists.

Just an update. On the wikileaks twitter page it reads.

"Cablegate: Boy, the last time there was a leak like this, Noah built himself a boat." 37 minutes ago via web.

I wonder if the flood is coming.

This is hilarious. So far the most damage he's caused is 'embarrasment' on some things said privately. Big deal. Assange can release all he has and nothing will happen. The only thing I see is a conspiracy about conspiracies.
