And I well agree with you. it could well be a front. However I just feel that soem of the material released. Especially in regards to the Russian and the Chinese, has the potential to really hack some people off. Unless there was prior warning.
AOL News the U.S. State Department has been attempting to do some damage-control in the event that a group of confidential documents are released through WikiLeaks.
While it’s still unknown when they will be released to the public and how many there will be available to view, it’s expected the release will take place this weekend.

(5) In this Act a reference to action taken for the purposes of terrorism includes a reference to action taken for the benefit of a proscribed organisation.

Assange is no hero and he won't be a martyr except to true enemies of Western powers. He has taken a gamble on being the cyber messiah or a felon and he has lost after causing a lot of damage with his game. He is a terrorist, a cyper terrorist and there is absolutely no reason he cannot be nailed on that regardless of his outstanding rape charge (which in itself does tend to indicate his true character).
