That buzzing in your ears is tinitis and you should all get it checked. Its a severe medical issue that can lead to psychological issues and temporary insanity if left unchecked.

Its not a religious experience, its a medical problem.

Take a look at the other threads started by this poster... I wouldn't read into anything he says too much. You might just start listening to him then.

The closer to December 21, 2012 we get the more I get the feeling that nothing significant will happen, whatsoever.

I am having this buzzing in my ears for a while now. The condition is called tinnitus ,and is considered as a symptom of underlying possible condition varying from sinusitis, high blood pressure and in a worse case even brain tumor.
However, I believe that that mobile phones use is responsible for the increased number of people affected with this condition.
There are many other possible reasons, and in my case I think that long hours spent sitting before computer are not good for the circulation in neck end shoulders, therefore, in long run is affecting nerves and vessels in the brain, creating swishing and buzzing. It is also possible that the brain is overstimulated with electronic input (too much of everything - sounds, pictures, movies, PC games, forums, facebooks, works, news, CPU fans are always producing sounds, monitor's emissions are not benevolent either...)

So I don't expect to get very clear special messages out of that noise, but am seriously considering to get a break from electronic pollution, and go to vacation.

Curious that you mention mobile phones. If my cell phone is next to my person, I will get a buzzing noise in my head and then a few seconds later a call or text comes through. If this is the cell phone tower triangulating my phone and then transmitting the signal in my direction, then this worries me.

OK. Just as I clicked off of this thread and checked in on another thread the ringing started. My right ear had that swooshy kind of pressure change and then the high pitched tone stated in my left ear. It continued for about a minute and just stopped a few seconds ago, right around the time I was writing the first sentence in this post. As a matter of fact, it's still there in my left ear but it's so faint or at such a high frequency I can barely hear it now. It almost sounds now like a vacuum is whining as if someone is doing their carpet a few apartments away and maybe they have a bad motor or belt or something. But it's in my left ear, not coming from outside. And now, with that last, it's completely gone.

That's the play by play update.

Oh wow. Here I thought I was plagued by tinnitus from playing my guitar too loud.
Well, I'm waiting, ears buzzing away, awaiting contact.

I can't help but feel that this is all a bit silly...

There are hundreds of reasons for having ringing in your ears and that is per person. There probably thousands of reasons in general why people have ringing in their ears. Logically tennitis, loud noise reverberation, blood pressure, damaged ear drums, infection, and the list goes on and on.

To immediately assume that everyone's reason for hearing the ringing is on in the same, requires a large basis of evidence leading to that.

I feel I need to remind readers of that, so I posted.

Good luck with that ringing OP. I know mines won't stop for anything and I've had mine since I was a kid. I don't have it checked by a doctor, because I've learned to live with it.

P.S.
To an earlier poster, i too am laughing as get nearer to 2012, The false prophets are popping out of every crack in the ground, and the prophecies are getting wilder and wilder. This post does sound like a false prophetic message, but personally, my opinion is that nothing is going to happen until the day we all think in unisen that nothing is capable of happening. That's the irony of total destruction haha.

But also:

Acts 2:17 (NIV)
"'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."

This post made me "really" happy because I heard that buzzing sound in my ear over the summer and I also hear it from time to time. I had a majority of the symptoms of spiritual awakening, which led me to believe I was going through that phase. Also, I was born on Easter; April 19, 1992 and my name is Christo. I don't know if that information means anything, but I thought it was smart to put that out.

I agree with all the reasons stated, but what if for once it were different?

Seems very possible that human nervous system is reacting to radio frequencies and can be affected with electromagnetic induction. Nervous system itself is transmitting via electrochemical waves. I am not an expert here, so this is just a guess.
People are usually not aware of small, seemingly insignificant changes in their bodies, but if you are more alert or more sensitive, there is no doubt that it is possible to feel at least some sensation when you are in the middle of incoming waves.
I am not using cell phone much, because sometimes I feel kind of dizzy during the conversations. Sometimes even a little nauseous.
Take a look at the article about so called "acoustic neuroma" and cell phones I think it is relevant to the subject

It is also cause by:
~ Wearing headphones with the volume too loud.
~ Being in the front row at a rock concert.
~ Working in a manufacturing facility with loud machinery.
~ Most common with people who suffered from a concussion.

For over 6 years now I've had the "ringing" in my ear... You can blame it on loud music, standing to close to a loud machine or whatever have you... In truth this "ringing" or "buzz" is much differenct then the sound created by ear damage. My hearing and ears have been checked by a doctor. I'm 100% healthy all around. But yes i do know the sound you hear after leaving a rock concert.

Now... let me give you some background info... I'm 30y/o, i run a successful business, I have raised a very bright 10 y/o who is well behaved. So before you call me crazy i just want to point those facts out... cause i'm not crazy or covering my head in tinfoil.

For those of you that believe in the OBE.... This tone will bring about the vibrations almost immediatly if you focus on it just right... It can also be a prelude tool... My ear can buzz, a moment later my phone will ring. Do you understand what i'm saying? It has something to do with Psychic ability but i haven't been able to figure out why is almost always in my left ear... very rarely does it come into my right. I can touch an object and the tone will change until i stop touching something... Some houses give off a certain tone. Some places can leave me almost deaf for up to an hour or two... I've been trying to find more information on this, without any success.

"chosen one"? Yea dude... that basically can sum it up pretty quick... Since i was a child ive had that feeling, but doesn't everyone? I look at my dvd collection Matrix, Dune, Star wars etc etc.... i don't know about you but i certainly don't feel like the "chosen one" out in public... nor should I.

I've been trying to find the source of that old wives tale that states : If your ears ring someone somewhere is talking about you...

Hahah.
Do some of you truly feel all of these people suddenly got tinitus?

There's something MUCH deeper going on. Thousands of people are not suddenly getting an illness.

I'm with you, mate. I have tinnitis as well. Try 36 years of it!

Like you, I've had it since I was born or at least as long as I can remember. No matter how "quiet" a situation is, I always have a veru high pitched, buzzing or "frequency" type sound in my head. It's not "in" my ears but more inside my head. I can always hear it. And if I focus on it, it gets really, REALLY loud in my head.

And I've never been one for loud music or anything that would overtly damage my ears. Just a crappy gentic disorder, I guess. I hate it.

I wish I was "chosen" or enlightened. But sadly, I'm not.

You can have tinnitus and not realise that its there or not realise what it is.

I knew I had ringing in my ears on and off for years and it never bothered me one bit. But that one night in bed trying to get to sleep when the ringing seemed incredibly loud I realised I had tinnitus. It wasnt switched on by some unknown entity, it was there, always had been and know I realised it would never go away again. So every day I like others in the thread live with this constant ringing in my head. But unlike most of the others, i actively listen to it and by doing so i take away a bit of its power and it doesnt have that big a hold over me.

So yeah I do believe all these people suddenly developed tinnitus. All it takes is for one person to say that they have it and another person will think about it and say yeah me too and so it carries on.

So the question is what kind of message that we possibly gonna receive through telepathy when the time come?!
And are we going to have some kind of special power to get people to follow.....I guess if they could sent message telepathically then I suppose they could also unlock our sixth sense or whatever hidden power inside our heads remotely.
Anybody have idea about what going to happen next ? Please do share.

I CANNOT believe I am reading this.

Every night, for the past several weeks, my ears buzz. I thought I was coming down with tinnitus or an infection but it's only at night when I am about to go to sleep.

So.....this is happening to a lot of people? It's a bitter sweet thing to know I'm not alone however, how can I be sure that that's what's causing this?
