But since you want to talk Europe, Europe is comprised of different nations with their own cultures. Plus you can be European and have different skin hues. In Britain alone there are people of different colour born and bred British with regional accents who consider themselves British.

Saying race doesn't play a factor in anything and we are all equal is very unrealistic. Skin color itself isn't the key factor, but genetics do make different races stand out from others in certain areas. It is safe to say if you pick a group of blacks at random from the population and put them up against a randomly selected group of whites in a series of basketball games, the blacks will win most of them. They will also usually beat whites and other peoples in most sports involving running. Whites are usually stronger on average then other people, this is shown throw dominance in strength based sports, powerlifting, wrestling, strongest man competitions, but if you talk about other areas whites stand out in like when it comes to intelligence, then suddenly thats off limits and you're racist. Test scores show that only some Asian groups like Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, are comparable to whites. The combination of strength and intelligence best explain why European Nations have always been dominant, ever since ancient times we have always been able to field the best armies. Jewish people are also smart but tend to specialize in dominating finance and media, not racist, but statistics and statements from Jews coroborate this. That doesn't mean we should have discrminiation laws or anything, just don't let political correctness get in the way of being realistic.

I am an early 20's, white, American male.... are you people saying I am completely devoid of culture, and can not celebrate anything?

White doesn't count.

American doesn't count.

I can not stuff myself into one of the many cultures of Europe, because I simply would not fit in.

Are white Americans truly culture-less?

It's just personal preference.

I'm of the same age group and I am faced with the same dilemma. Constantly being told I don't have a culture because I'm a White American. Which is all fine and good, I don't need that sort of culture. I like to think of culture as being a well rounded, knowledgable individual.. More in the sense of being "cultured'. I think everyone has a family-type culture which is different from family to family but it is different for everyone. I don't need to lump myself into the same group as a millions of other people who share my skin color or place of origin. I'm an individual, there may be people out there who believe the same things I do, but that doesn't mean we are all the same, or that we all practice the same traditions/past times. It is fine to be proud of heritage in culture, but in many ways it is disrupting too. I'm not upset about not having a said "culture".

And to all of those people saying "White" can't be a culture because it is merely a skin color.. Then how do you define "Black Culture"? Why can the color black have a culture but the color white cannot? Just a side thought. It's the same thing.

The answer is very simple.

TPTB needs to keep the "Unwashed Masses" fighting amongst themselves. One way is to stir up racism. Have you notice how much more you are hearing about racism now??? Could it be because TPTB wanted to pass "Obamacare", "Food Safety", "Cap & Trade" and Bank bailouts WITHOUT the "Great Unwashed" banding together to stop the march toward a ONE WORLD COMPANY LIMITED?

This thread made me take a deep look at my family so to speak.So let's start with my parents both white. Now my stepfather is a black englishman. I love to hear him talk. My step mother is jewish chinese. Yes she was adopted. My husband is half Yakama(by the way that is tribe here in good ol Nortwest) and half white. Thats just the start. My older sister has 2 biracial children. One black and one Indian as in Asia. My other sister is married to a mexican( they met in Mexico while she was doing humanitarian deeds) and both her children are also biracial.That's just the start.One cousin is half japenese and my other cousins are part Iranian. As you can imagine my family reunions are quite interesting. One things for damn sure we don't care about each others race or religon or whatever. Although we do get into some great debates. Our culture is our family. The great melting pot that is America. I take pride in my family not my race. And if you want add fuel to this my uncle is a pretty famous drag queen in seattle and his boyfriend is black.

race and culture are both politico/social concepts, that people constantly use as the term suits them.

Many in Africa distinguish between various "races" that white americans cannot detect. Likewise the difference between serb, croat, and bosnian (all white look-alikes, ftmp).

People in the US usually mean "Scotch/Irish-German" culture when they say white. Almost all Americans and Canadians know this, and are being disingenuous if they say they don't.

White (USA) culture includes elements of other cultures. BBQ, gulash, cornbread, etc. But black culture is the same, even in Africa: Swahili contains lots of Arabic vocabulary.

Incidentally, if you ever look at personal ads, whites are finding code phrases to let each other know they are white. Look for "interested in Keltic music" and "Renaissance Festival" as clue-ins. "Protestant" is another.
