Just a few thoughts I don't remember seeing anywhere in the thread:
Has anyone considered contacting the university and asking if there is a transcript of this conference.
Or contacting the University Dean, or Zahi Hawass, and asking if they authorized a statement like this. Or if they concur with it.
If Shaheen is being bombarded with e-mails, he may choose to just ignore them. If he said it, he has to know what a bombshell he dropped.

Just for the sake of conversation, say that robot was sent up the shaft, drilled through the second door and found something 'otherworldly'. The film crew's equipment would be quickly confiscated and Indiana Hawass would clamp a lid on the information so tight that even a 5th century Egyptian tomb robber wouldn't be able to see it.
Then some college professor lets slip a few words referring to it and the world recalls all the media hype about the robot going back into the shaft just last month. Somebody may then ask what was found...

Agree. Here are the variations on his name: Alaa Shaheen, Al shaheen, Asma Shaheen
Nice topic. Seems too good to be true though. Will wait to see what others dig up.edit on 30-11-2010 by Jason88 because: (no reason given)
