Fair enough nothing good comes out of a "Yes it is, No it isn't" game. That's where it's helpful by people finding contact information to Cairo University and Dr. Ala Shaheen so we can get some form of a confirmation and maybe even clarification on the statement.

Every site either has the copy pasted "In a shock statement, head of the Cairo University Archeology Department, Dr Ala Shaheen has told an audience that there might be truth to the theory that aliens helped the ancient Egyptians build the oldest of pyramids, the Pyramids of Giza. On being further questioned by Mr Marek Novak, a delegate from Poland as to whether the pyramid might still contain alien technology or even a UFO with its structure, Dr Shaheen, was vague and replied "I can not confirm or deny this, but there is something inside the pyramid that is "not of this world". Delegates to the conference on ancient Egyptian architecture were left shocked, however Dr Shaheen has refused to comment further or elaborate on his UFO and alien related statements." or is currently unavaible due to various reasons.

Take a step back and you can see how this can be seen both as a publicity stunt and a very interesting statement made by a credible archeologist.

Looking forward to an interesting thread if the info checks out.

One thing that does come to mind was the robotic expedition up that shaft, that was supposed to be run in October.

There hasn't been a single word about what, if anything, found. Maybe Lord Hawass & Co. found something that has been held back?

Just a few thoughts I don't remember seeing anywhere in the thread:

Has anyone considered contacting the university and asking if there is a transcript of this conference.

Or contacting the University Dean, or Zahi Hawass, and asking if they authorized a statement like this. Or if they concur with it.

If Shaheen is being bombarded with e-mails, he may choose to just ignore them. If he said it, he has to know what a bombshell he dropped.

Just for the sake of conversation, say that robot was sent up the shaft, drilled through the second door and found something 'otherworldly'. The film crew's equipment would be quickly confiscated and Indiana Hawass would clamp a lid on the information so tight that even a 5th century Egyptian tomb robber wouldn't be able to see it.

Then some college professor lets slip a few words referring to it and the world recalls all the media hype about the robot going back into the shaft just last month. Somebody may then ask what was found...

I have already contacted the University
I found a video on their site but I am not sure if it's of the conference. The site is in Arabic and not everything is translated so I can't tell if it's of the conference or not. If it is and it's available with English subtitles I will order it.

Contacting Hawass will get you nowhere. I have contacted him many times in the past and he never replies esp when it comes to topics of this nature. He just ignores it.

Do you now know why the middle east is of such interest now? Anywhere from a hidden history about ETs (gods, angels) whatever and the true nature of power.
The strange art figures found in Iraq, the 9foot giants in Afghanistan.

Ark of the Covenant possibly (near the gulf of aden) Aden, Yemen, Somalia. Why all the bases north in Saudi Arabia....Always positioning ourselves near the questionable areas. Recently I have heard some chatter about Egypt and terrorism etc etc.

Occupation in the middle east has nothing to do with terrorism, protecting israel, wealth of mineral rights,or oil.(This is a containment operation and exploitation of power)

Project Paperclip is not limited to Wernher Magnus Maximilian Freiherr von Braun rocket technology
Not only did Hitlers rocket scientists come to America but his psychologists, sociologists, social anthropologists, experts in the occult, mind control, religion historians, ....the Indiana Jones quest still continues for more power and to contain truth from the masses..

They even tell you in the movies yet we still equate them as fictional. Its sort of an inside joke to the ones in power that know. They even give you what you seek yet you do not believe and deny it more than the military denies black operations they conduct with political assasinations

Its just the facts. You can say prove it prove it prove it while you pretend to play like your scientists can prove how the universe formed.

Take it or leave it...makes no difference to me what you do. Fact remains fact.

You guys need to understand that these are two different alphabets. arabic is a different alphabet, therefore, you have to spell a name using roman characters by phonetics, therefore, there will be multiple spellings for different names. None more right than another...

Providing Shaheen actually said this. I'm trying to decide if it really was a slip, or if it was intentional, and what do they have to gain by it. Hawass seems to like playing games. And I really would like to know what that robot discovered even if it's nothing.

alright lets just say that aliens were involved in one way or another with the building of the egyptian pytamids, does this also mean that they were involved in creating the other pyramids across the world? If so why then are they all though similar in shape (i.e. triangular and pyramids) not exactly the same? in south america/central america you have step pyramids, in asia you have pyramids closer to the south/central american pyramids, and in egypt you have flat sided "perfect" pyramids, ( although i recently saw a thread about pyramids in europe, im leaving them out for the time being as at the time of my last viewing it had been debunked)

so if aliens helped build these in one way or another why are the ones in egypt different from the others? multiple alien speceis? any other theories?

also one more interesting little thing why do they all seem to line up with constilations in our sky, most notably the constilation of Orion??????

Ok so I emailed the University last night and just now I email the head of the Science Heritage Center. They seemed to be the ones who put on the conference. I used good old goolgle translator and sent the email in Arabic and English. I didn't want to assume they spoke English when the whole site was in Arabic. I have come to realize that if you at least attempt to speak another language they will respect you more and are more likely to help. This has just been my experience when contacting other countries. So I shall wait and see if this person responds. I asked if there was a copy of the conference because on the site it said one would be available but I can't seem to find a copy and I have been looking for two days!

Indiana Hawas!

I love it, thanks mate, you just made my day!

You're probably right though, Hawas has been covering something up round those parts for years now!

Yeah, no surprise there. Hawass, to me, is a shady character at best. I always get the impression he's up to no good. But then, some people just give you that feeling when you see them.
Still, as I said above, there has to be an advantage somewhere.

The Law of One channeling sessions contain information from "Ra" pertaining to this subject. "It" says that the pyramids were not in fact built, but 'raised' by thought power alone. "Ra" says that it was their 6th density social memory complex that descended from the sky so long ago and taught the ancient Egyptians the Law of One, and technology and wisdom for living a life of unity. "Ra" continues in saying that these lessons were quickly perverted by consciousness distortions towards greed/power. "Ra" also says that they (the social memory complex, i.e. integrated racial consciousness) were in fact the ones that incarnated in human form and started the revered Pharaoh bloodline.

That is, if you are DEEPLY metaphysical.

Food for thought!

Agree. Here are the variations on his name: Alaa Shaheen, Al shaheen, Asma Shaheen

Nice topic. Seems too good to be true though. Will wait to see what others dig up.
