NK provides no evidence for it, China provides no evidence for it, and yet you alone somehow KNOW that SK fired first.

I thought this was common knowledge? SK fired into DPRK's territorial waters and the DPRK shelled the Island where the fleet originated from.You think they just fired for the sake of it? they were making a point of defending their waters,ignoring such an intrusion would be a sign of weakness.

You want proof go find it yourself,or just carry on sucking up south koreas side of the story.

Soon these 'exercises' will become a full blown military confrontation.

This will probably be the first seriousy war of the modern era, with a nation vs. a nation.

It's not common knowledge so how about you back up your claim with actual evidence and then maybe people will take what you have to say more seriously. You know the Korean Immigrants I interview speak very differently about NK than what you are trying to say. You don't back up your claims with anything. Most of the reports of North Korea come from pretty much every news agency around...except for north korea.

Actually he is right. The very first reports claimed that SK fired, then NK shot back. Then every news is changed to the NK shot first story. It's similar to the St. Ossetian incident, where the news agencies are told that the Russians attacked Georgia without any true reason. But in the reality, the first reports said that Georgians attacked and killed 2000 civilians in the previous night and then the Russians marched into Georgia to protect the Ossetians.

I believe this is the same scenario. Right now all the news channels are blaming the NK, but the first reports really mentioned the SK provoked NK with something and fired first. Maybe you can find some trace about it here on ATS too.

But as you're clearly just mocking others and laughing at others when someone else has a different info then yours, I rather take him seriously, then any of your responses. Interesting scenario, but open to invasion from who? How in the world is another country going to mobilize enough ships to get a large enough contingent on the US mainland? I was on here posting last night and im back again to say the same thing i said 12 hours ago. Nothing is going to happen!! China's "big announcement" is that they want to hold talks. Woo wee. Big deal. NK has deployed some missiles but they have not fired them. The exercises will be over in 2 more days.

I would agree with you, but you forget one thing... WikiLeaks release. The U.S. is already making great damage controls before it would release anything, saying appologies to many other nations, including China. So let's wait today's WikiLeaks release then we'll see how the Chinese are going to react for that. If those documents are really capable to present something what the U.S. doesn't really want, the Chinese can use it for their advantage anytime and may order the U.S. to leave the Yellow Sea... what the U.S. is surely not going to fulfill. Possible result = the conflict escalates.

As I said if you would be interested in the truth, regardless you served your country for decade, you would do a proper research to get answers. I also served my country, but when a question is arised, I looked after the proper answers on my own when it was necessary, even if I knew the answer what I may find is maybe not the one that I'm going to like.

You simply fear the truth. But if you fear the truth, what the hell are you doing here at ATS?

When the news first broke the SK were conducting exercises but no where did it say they shot artillery that landed in NK territory.

NK was just pissed cause SK didnt listen to them and held the exercises near the NLL which they have every right to do. As long as none of their shells crossed into NK which none did then NK had no reason to attack.

And how about the ship that was sunk 8 months ago. You have me believe SK/US killed 48 of their own military to blame NK???!!? get real.
