I don't know. This past election in my eyes had NO ONE worth voting for. The worse choices ever in a presidential election. I am not a fan of McCain, but I do respect what he did for the country when he served. All we can do now is live with what we have and watch where this roller coaster takes us all. They are ALL puppets. And the ones who are not do not stand a chance. That is sad.

Hello ATS,

Is there a bliss-like blindness driving some people, mesmerizing them to follow their leaders no matter what the consequences? I don't think I need to remind you which country is famous for that type of attitude.

Have a nice day!

Hi.....I'm not going to defend Ms. Palin, but I do think you hit the nail on the head regarding what drives people to vote for our so-called charismatic and messiah like leaders if you get my jist.

Surely you guys can come up with someone better than Sarah Palin. Are there no other candidates? I dont believe that in the US you cant find yourself a decent president.

That would be Ron Paul.

"Come meet the old boss, same as the old boss..."

My point is that it really does not matter which gaff machine we get, the results are the same. Biden is Palin is Obama is McCain...

Fear drives, and feeds a strong central government. Our fear feeds into the power of this entity. We give it strength, through our fear and ignorance. We're all afraid of our neighbors. We NEED someone to protect us from ourselves. We have small, nuclear families, communities are a thing of the past. Any time we are approached by "strangers", we think to ourselves, "What does this person want to take from me?" I get looked at like a thief by an elderly woman when I ask her if she needs help carrying her overloaded bags. If you see a person walking down a long, dangerous road, many times they will refuse the offer of a free lift to where they are going, because they suspect I wish to abduct, and hurt them.

Sure, there are plenty of nasty, evil people out there - but no matter how many laws, security, etc we enact, there will still be Serial Murderers, thieves, and those who wish nothing but harm to their fellow man - But, are these evil people born that way? Or are they simply a reflection of our Society, and culture? I have spent, and still do spend, lots of time in VERY impoverished local neighborhoods, and you know what? The majority of the people who live there are GOOD people. I was never "beat-up", nor robbed, nor even threatened. When you enter an area to help people, people that are labeled unworthy by society, it's amazing the hospitality you will experience.

Maybe I'm just naive to believe that most people are Good, and given the right circumstances, that everyone, regardless of status, wealth, age, beliefs, looks, what-have-you, can work together for the betterment of mankind, rather then the simple pursuit of their own, and (maybe) their direct family's welfare. Maybe at some point in our spiritual evolution, we will wake up to idea that feeding a thousand hungry children is WORTH MORE then a luxury Yacht. Helping a neighbor who is struggling should be more rewarding in our society, then buying that new 50' HDTV, but we all know it is not.

We have a culture of Dog eat Dog, take from the other, before they take it from you. It's all for naught. You can believe you "own" all these fancy, blinking things, or the land you live on, but you don't. You "rent" it for the short time you are here. The only thing that truly belongs to you, is your soul, your humanity, but most people simply take it for granted, and only concentrate on tangible things that they can hold in their hand, or see with their eyes, but that is all fleeting, while actions, emotions, and connections, I believe, are forever. You will never lose "ownership" of the great things you can do to help your fellow man, but someone else will "own" all of your belongings, one way or another, after you are gone.

I'd vote for her unless something better came along. She would be better than what we have in there now. Chicago and politics in the same sentence equals CROOK!! I'm afraid that we will not know the extent of the damage done to this country until way after he has left office. I just wonder whose pockets the money will go in.

I think you are correct. Obama is out of it. Even the democrats are sick of him. His job was to give us Obamacare, The Food Safety Con S-510 and Cap and Trade.

Along with the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 that gives us all three points of

"Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people; control money and you control the world." ~ Henry Kissinger ..."

I think they are saving up Hilary Clinton for the 2012 Presidency. As some have said at least she is obviously smart even if she is a traitorous treacherous B!t$h.

I really wish we had something besides Corporate/Bankster puppets to vote FOR. Unfortunately a vote for third part is a vote for a Corporate/Bankster puppet too. SIGHhhh

I am going for a ron paul- jesse ventura ticket, BUT to kick out the soros-bush-cia-established families out of the presidential office as of late, i say hell yes i would vote for her. i dont see her bowing to the saudi king, i wouldnt expect her to go around the country apologizing, and i dont think she would keep this false war going on, as she has no vested interests. Hell she might even get rid of the Patriot Act. So again why are so many people wining about her

is a president that says what he-she meant to much to ask for anymore?
In my eyes we could get a bum off the streets that could do better than the last 5 or so presidents, not a tough role to fill when you have so many advisors helping.

Hello ATS,

I usually refrain from making politically-charged threads, however after reading the following:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I'm really wondering how anyone can possibly defend this woman and - even more grotesquely - how could anyone want to see this woman as president.

Is there a bliss-like blindness driving some people, mesmerizing them to follow their leaders no matter what the consequences? I don't think I need to remind you which country is famous for that type of attitude.

Have a nice day!

We are so attuned to entertainment that the office of the presidency has been reduced to being equal with American Survivor or Dancing with the president or some other such nonsense.

Palin would be a world class embarrassment. Can anyone seriously imagine that dummy siting across a table with other world leaders who have decades of experience in international relations? I would not give her more than a McDonalds franchise based upon what she has shown me so far. The most important thing is that I want my leaders to be smarter than I am. She is most definitely not that. I'd debate her right now with no preparation on any topic except beauty aids for senior citizens.

If Sarah Palin got elected, it would be the beginning of an Idiotocracy. Luckily she has no chance of getting elected. If the Republicans are smart, they'll nominate Ron Paul, as he's the only one that can possibly win. Mitt Romney? Not a chance. Mike Huckabee? Nope. Sarah Palin? Absolutely not. R. Paul? Possibly. Obama? Probably...

Well, Palin has no respect whatsoever internationally.....

But who cares....??
It will make no major difference anyway, as all are puppets on strings of TPTB.

So keep cool and relax...

Her record as a governor? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? She didn't even complete her term because she realized she could make more money doing speeches and working for a news network.

Do you refuse to believe that her entire administration was constantly under attack from the left wing filing unfounded ethics complaints that she had to defend out of her own pocket? It was an organized attack aimed at nothing more than discrediting her. She is not perfect but she is certainly better than what we have now. I don't think she could be as powerful as President as she is the voice of the average American. She is needed but not in the presidentcy. Unfortunately no one else can be trusted in the position.

Actually she did a pretty good job of discrediting herself when she essentially stole money from the taxpayers of Alaska for this....
www.nydailynews.com...

and this....

taxprof.typepad.com...

one more...

online.wsj.com...

and lets not forget...

themoderatevoice.com...

No she bailed on Alaska because she knew what the investigation would show.

Shouldn't Palin take the rightwings advice and take some personal responsibility for the troubles she brought down on herself. That would be the honorable thing to do instead of lie and place the blame on the "leftys"

Don't let your ideology get in the way of your common sense!

Got a laugh out of that.
Thanks.
After we get her to keep her trap shut we need to get her some geography lessons called allies versus enemies......or a teleprompter.

Actually, sara was trying to show off, with her north korea remark. I just don't get how a person is allowed to prompt war, as she has done repeatedly, from a position outside of politics (responsibility). This is fostered as to deflect blame, accusations, or even common knowledge of, the warmongering zionist shadow government. It is crystal clear to me that she has been under intense tutoring since just before the election of 'POTUS', well after tptb had decided on barry to win. (my mind is reflecting on the absolute gangbusters fashion in which those zionists unramped from the Trojan horse...saying 'we are forceful, decisive persons, whom the President has called upon to assist his repairing of all the damage from the last zionist stooge president')!!!

I heard her speech patterns and pronunciation take sudden changes; I pictured her with the likes of soros, kissinger , chertoff (note that they always grab positions that never expire) an all, being coached in power, subterfuge, and above all, in the art of misdirection. I need to splash some water on my face...this cannot be Above Top Secret....

More edits...my mind is crackling like an illegal fire. I would feel a lot better if the candidate had character, ideas formed from continuous struggle for idealism (which would give a person a defense against even what someone was about to 'teach' to you), and not a spate of crash courses in whatever it is they are feeding her.

It is exactly what it seems to be, and this simply cannot continue to happen here. I feel feint. It's like all the nightmares came today, in a single breasted, winking, screeching package...and then you hear it point blank...someone states...'I dunno. I like her'. Someone you KNOW but you did not need to hear it....it's like a hypnosis...it IS a hypnosis. I'll say it again. They NEED her. It will enable war, without anyone linking it to the real causes.

This lady for president? The implications are horrendous to contemplate.

Here's an excerpt from the book "Game Change" by John Heilemann & Mark Halperin describing how sarah p. had to be prepped in the basics of US geo-pol-soc-econ history and current events, and just about everything else, that about says it all:

"She knew nothing. She had to be taken through World War I, World War II, the Cold War, and Palin was not aware there was a difference between North and South Korea. She continued to insist that Iraq was behind 9/11; and when her son was being sent off to Iraq, she couldn’t describe who we were fighting."
