It is advisable that you all record your IMEI number down somewhere. Individual number of the mobile / cell phone regardless of number changes.
You can obtain your IMEI number by pressing *#06# on your mobile phone.
In this case probably advisable to call her carrier to get the number. It is recorded on the contracts or on the box of the phone.

I hope and PRAY that she is found safe and returns to her obvious loving family.

Best Regards

ps - you could possibly use the social networking sites let everyone know. Set up a page that she is missing, and invite everyone on her friends / your friends , then before you know it you may get some results.

She doesn't have a passport does she ?
Have you found the car ?
Check with the ferry to the south island ?

Perhaps it'll seem childish, but try to place yourself in her shoes. Assuming, she might've left on her own, based on what you know about her, where would she go?

Thank you all for your help.

She is found, the cop was in our house interviewing my mom and dad, my sister was outside talking to her teacher on the phone, she saw the car doing a U turn.

Yes it was the missing sister!

We were gonna go after her, but the cop said you guys stay here, instead the cop went and stopped her.

The cop brought her back, had a chat with her in private.

She was home for about 3 minutes, no one wanted to talk to her because they thought she would get angry. After 3 minutes she ran away again, this time on foot.

My uncle saw her in the park, my uncle called home to come, I ran to the park, saw her crying, it broke my hear.

I told her to come with me, we go to my mate's house we stay there if you don't want to go home, she said no, she doesn't want to go anywhere, a lady called the cops because she thought something was up and she was crying heavily.

The whole family begged her to come home, my mom almost started crying, but she said no she doesn't want to go back home.

The cops came, they spoke to her, they said you either go home or come with us and we will provide some help for you.

She decided to go with the cops, the cops contacted psychiatrists to talk to her, they decided to hospitalize her for heavy depression, and her refusal to eat.

zzzz

Thank you all for the help.

Well I'm glad she was found. My sister, she's in her early 20's, has been going through some stuff lately. Sometimes it takes a little prodding to get anything out of her, but that's not always the best course of action. Seems to me that the more life is piling up on her she seems to just want to get away from here, her home and family. I don't quite understand how anyone thinks running away will fix anything, but I do get just wanting to be left alone. Maybe your sister is going through something similar, give her time but definitely keep an eye on her.

That is what I wanted to do, let her stay in my friends house and tell my friend to go sleep in his Girl Friend's house.

That way she can stay there for a while by herself, with food everything to think it out.

I kinda know what she is going through, sometimes you desperately need to be alone and get away from everything.

It's important that you stress this to the rest of your family. Parents being parents just want to help but pushing too hard, especially on a teenager never gets the desired results, at least in my experience. Good luck with everything.

I'm glad she was found.

I went through quite a few issues when I was that age too, and saw a few psychologists.

It's silly for me to try and give advice because I don't know any details, but personally I think the worst thing for someone with bad depression is to be alone as things just magnify in your own mind.

Good luck to you and your sis

Pleased she's been found.

Sure I recall you saying once before that she is a high level achiever.
Sometimes the expectations we put upon ourselves exacts a great price.

I sincerely hope she comes out of this allright.

I'm sure the continued support of your family will help this but as you point out, sometimes it is best to back off slightly and just be there when necessary.

Im glad she's back.

Back in 1994 when I was exactly 16 (im a male though) I left home with a bag and some innocent food supplies, reads (cant remember, the hobbit maybe) and a t-shirt. Less than 20 hours later I was back. If driving had been legal in my country at 16 I'd have taken the car for sure.

Everything will go OK. Due to several circumstances, Im living now back at my dad's (mom died 5 years ago, I have no sisters or brothers) and had never been this close.

I'm glad she is back. I work at a facility, I see kids like this (and worse) all the time. Don't give up on her, and she will get through it. I wish you and your family well.

That's good news Ooz.
I had a feeling something more personal was going on and nothing nefarious. She needs her space for a few days/weeks probably to think things out. But now that we know she is alright and safe that removes a heavy weight on your family.

I said a prayer for her when I fist read this thread. As I am sure others did as well along with those who gave their best wishes that things would work out.

Peace be with you and yours.

SLAY

Hey Ooz, fantastic news, caught this thread last night & was very worried for you all.
Sounds like your sis is having a tough time right now? Maybe you could tell her about the wacky new ATS family she has all over the World that were praying she was safe? Tell her we all send our love & best wishes.

Mods should put this thread in the [HOAX] forum

This guy is a phony.

Read the end of page 2 for the exact reasons why.

You sure this is accurate ? I live in the same city as you, and generally speaking, someone missing for 48 hours would be all over the news here. (we don't have much news, lol)

Especially a teenage girl......

Something tells me you're not giving us the full story. I am going to check the auckland police missing persons registrar now, and also call a friend who is based at henderson police station. If she has been reported missing in the last week, she will be known to him as that is his area of expertise. I'll do a quick check now, on 16 year old girls missing from west auckland in the last week.

Another thing you mentioned was scholarships for university, as far as I know, the only scholarships here are sporting based. All universities here let anyone in, regardless of prior achievements.

Edit note : Checked missing persons registrar, Auckland police website, contacted a "friend in the force" and also called in to the henderson police station (being the only major police station in west auckland, all information from other stations is "pooled" here - no reports in the last week of a 16 year old girl missing from west auckland - You sure the police are involved ?

Did you know the police ask for permission before advertising the missing case?

They asked my mom and dad, but they didn't give them permission to post her pictures up in Newspapers etc.

I don't need you to believe me, I have no intention of making a HOAX thread regarding my sister

She is in the hospital right now.

Glad to hear she is alive and well. I don't think things worked out for her on her exploration.
Ah,,,,those damn growing pains and heartbreaks. Let this be a reminder to all of us.

maybe a good turkey dinner will help the imbalance.

Kind Regards and Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

I do realise that you have to give the police permission to post in newspapers but they don't need permission to state a 16 year old girl is missing, if they don't give out personal information about her.

If you bothered to read my post in it's entirety you would have noticed that I have a friend who works in missing persons, at the Henderson police station and upon contacting him, he also couldn't verify the claims posted here. I wouldn't have posted what I did , if I thought this had an ounce of truth to it.

It's interesting to me that you made claims of scholarships to university here (which one, and for what?) amongst other small details you posted, it makes me believe this has an element of deception to it.
