Just take the scan, your junk ain’t that special.

Your civil liberties don’t supercede mine. I want all reasonable measures taken to assure me that I will arrive at my destination in tack so I can be involved in an accident with a drunk driver.

This attitude (if you are serious) is the reason we will have no freedoms at all in a few months.
You have a right to your opinion now.
But, those who stand for nothing will fall for anything.

Yes precision does help and so does honesty. Lets see what some of the experts have to say about the dangers of the radiation exposure to these naked body scanners shall we?

Full body scanners at airports could increase your risk of skin cancer, experts warn. The X-ray machines have been brought in at Manchester, Gatwick and Heathrow. But scientists say radiation from the scanners has been underestimated and could be particularly risky for children. They say that the low level beam does deliver a small dose of radiation to the body but because the beam concentrates on the skin - one of the most radiation-sensitive organs of the human body - that dose may be up to 20 times higher than first estimated.

WASHINGTON — US scientists warned Friday that the full-body, graphic-image X-ray scanners that are being used to screen passengers and airline crews at airports around the country may be unsafe. "They say the risk is minimal, but statistically someone is going to get skin cancer from these X-rays," Dr Michael Love, who runs an X-ray lab at the department of biophysics and biophysical chemistry at Johns Hopkins University school of medicine, told AFP.

Let me know which airport you are flying out of... I will bring the mardi gras beads!

Wouldn't that be an AMAZING protest?!? Yelling and hollering every time this happens at a checkpoint and throwing beads?!? Think they would get the idea then? (Think they would care?)

Yes I tried to stay away, but I can't just let ignorant comments go on unopposed. I'll probably stop soon after this post.

What good are the marshals if they are against people with better weapons including bombs? How can a marshal stop a bomb?

So if everyone is safe from all the pat downs they're, what's the point of the air marshals? If the pat downs don't make flying safe, then what's the point of them? Air marshals are there to stop anything from happening on board the plane. When someone gets up and causes a stir, that's when the marshal steps in to restore order, bomb or no bomb.

They are NOT groping (in a sexual way). They are checking for weapons. Stop flattering yourself and thinking everyone wants to touch disgusting dirty strangers. They don't want to touch you there, they have to, they were provoked by people who hide stuff there. Don't expect special treatment. They trust nobody. I trust nobody. You should trust nobody. Even little kids are used to hide weapons. Don't you understand this???

I understand that just because someone works for the government that doesn't make them a robot. People are still people and as such some are going to do sick things. Flattering myself? Get over yourself, bud. You sound like a TSA worker yourself....why are you so in favor of these searches?

Okay, since we're going to put safety ahead of everything else, might as well start doing a cavity search too. People can hide things in all sorts of places.

Homosexuality is the minority. Sexual attraction to opposite sex is what is more common. That is why I said that. SOMEBODY has to check the genital area. If they don't then lunatics will just hide stuff there like they have many times before. You are in a public place, they are not going to touch you sexually in front of hundreds of witnesses. They check and you move on.

Again, they're still people, minority or not. People will be people, and some of them do very sick things. If you don't believe that includes TSA personnel, you're fooling no one but yourself. Of course it isn't every one of them, and not even most of them, but you can guarantee it's some of them.

No, a building can't be a weapon.

A chemical or biological weapon is not a building....

But when it's contained inside the building and being spread through the building's ventilation, then yes, the building is the weapon. Just like the gun isn't the bullet, but it's still a weapon.

No, the building does not turn into a weapon. The weapon is the chemical or biological agent in that case.

See above.

That is like saying the Earth is a weapon when chemical or biological agents are spread through the air.

No, that's actually nothing like saying that, but glad you made clear your comprehension level of this argument.

God, how many times are you people going to repeat that illogical argument.

A mall, concerts, and sporting events, are NOT weapons like an aircraft is a potential weapon.

Until people like yourself can understand that allowing these loss of freedoms is a slippery slope that WILL keep going.

Yes you can. Freedom is in the eye of the beholder. Freedom and safety can coexist. Whoever told you otherwise is a fool.

Freedom is in the eye of the beholder? LOL, that's just philosophical bull dung. I guess prisoners and slaves just need to change their point of view, since they're free if they just choose to be. You can NOT be free and safe. Whoever told you otherwise is your oppressor. Very Orwellian of you to say that they can though. Lemme guess, freedom is slavery, right?

in your eyes your freedom is some how taken away... freedom is in the eye of the beholder.

You obviously don't understand what freedom really is. Your bumper-sticker slogan would go over well at the Bush ranch in Crawford.

Freedom is in the eye of the beholder. What you say is illogical.

You can recite that garbage as many times as you want, that doesn't change the fact that it's nothing more than a slogan with no real meaning.

How on Earth do you expect to be stay free from oppression if you are not safe from danger? Danger is used to oppress. Weapons are use to oppress. How do you stay free from oppression if you don't care about weapons?

Why do you think you can be safe and free? If you understood freedom, you'd understand how they can't coexist. The only way the public can be made safe is to be controlled- meaning no freedom. But go ahead and tell yourself your little slogan again. Big Brother would be proud.

Or how about they disagree with that sentiment because it's impossible to be free from oppression without safety?

Not all safety requires you to give up freedom. Freedom is in the eye of the beholder.

You should try moving to country that doesn't try to hide the fact that it's citizens aren't free. I lived in one for a year in 96. You'd learn a lot about freedom, which you sorely need to do.

No, we are seeing the freedom of lunatics erode so that we can stop being oppressed by them.

Do you not understand that in a free society, a lunatic who hasn't committed a crime is as free as every other citizen? Which is exactly why you can't be free and safe. If you're free, then others who mean you harm- before they commit their crime- are free also. If they're controlled, then you're controlled. Controlled as in NOT FREE, and it has nothing to do with the eye of the beholder.

What freedoms have you lost? NONE.

You can't be serious with this....but Dick Cheney would be proud that you're doing such a good job with the propaganda campaign.

Just look at the record of the FDA. How many drugs have they recalled after serious illness or death after FDA approval? And this is the same FDA saying the naked body scanners are perfectly safe.

I will let the full body naked scanner and TSA groping and molester proponents look it up and please prove me wrong.

I can understand if they are wanting to play grab-butt and tug-n-tickle, but at least be honest with it.

Say something like this "hello ladies and gentlemen, please form a single file line so you can all be molested in an efficient and orderly fashion."

Hands down the pants? If I walked up to someone and put my hand down their pants, I would either end up punched, arrested or married!

Yup and you'd deserve it too.

*That is why I think the government is trying to provoke the citizens into using violence.

Should I ever find myself as juror in a trial of a man who shot one of these sexual deviants, I will be voting not guilty.

It almost seems like the government is looking for a way to provoke Americans into violence or revolt. They would love that - it would give Obama the opportunity to declare martial law and fully suspend the constitution. It would also let them dust off those FEMA camps that they have spent so much money on.

The TSA (Team Sexual Assault) is just a pawn in this whole game.

I think that government knows EXACTLY what kind of backlash they will receive.

Now, here is how I see it playing out.....

HUGE backlash against the TSA. Opposition. Government easing TSA guidelines. False-Flag terrorist attack using a plane. Public outcry to "save us". Total government control as the final solution.

I hope people start to use what power they have to make life difficult for known TSA agents.

Maybe some mechanic won't do as good a job once he finds out what they do, or what that guy at the IRS will do once his mother and children get fondled. Everyone has a little bit of power they could use to make things difficult for the TSA now that they are molesting people.

Wait 'till some cop's mom gets fingered and cries to him about it - or worse, his child. The efforts of IRS guy and the mechanic will pail in comparison to what an American cop is capable of when he gets pissed. We've all seen the videos.

In the spirit of honesty, you might do well to check your own sources to find:

'To put the issue in perspective, the radiation received from the scanning process is the equivalent to two minutes radiation received on a Transatlantic flight.

You see, fears are most pervasive with ignorant people. Somebody screams "cancer" and you run to the hills, w/o realizing that doing some maintenance work in your basement can cause you more damage than any airport scan, due to inhalation of radon - naturally emitted from concrete.

On the same note, dump your cellphone because each time you make one of your deeply concerned phone calls about full body screening, you deliver lot's more radiation straight to your brain than any scan possible.

It's true that there is no lower limit to safe exposure. They teach you that in a college class on radiology. Did you take one of these? I did.

At the same time, you accumulate a non-trivial dosage by just sleeping next to your partner, whose body emits radiation from potassium-40 radioactive decay (while same happens in your own body as well).

Heck, eating a banana poses a radiation risk!
Avoid Bananas

Bananas are radioactive enough to regularly cause false alarms on radiation sensors used to detect possible illegal smuggling of nuclear material at US ports

In resume... Lighten up.

Isn't it amazing that those who scream wolf don't know jack about the technical aspects of the problem?

A scan is equivalent to exposure obtained in just two minutes of Transatlantic flight. So you get quite exposed anyhow when you simply flight.

Now, please start advocating naval vessels as best level for Transatlantic transport. I'm all ears.

Arrogance is a horrible personality trait don't you think?

Lets again look at what they are now saying about the dosage of radiation.

They say that the low level beam does deliver a small dose of radiation to the body but because the beam concentrates on the skin - one of the most radiation-sensitive organs of the human body - that dose may be up to 20 times higher than first estimated.

Source

Doses 20 times higher than first estimated!!!!

Ok, since the government says its safe you blindly take their word for it and fall into line just like any other sheeple?

Do you care to take a look at the history of the FDA and their abysmal record on drug approval?

With over 320,000 patients dying each year from FDA-approved drugs and with a never-ending flight of FDA medical reviewers from the agency to Congress complaining of drugs being approved over their objections, it is clear that drug approval is no assurance of drug safety.

Source

This is the same FDA that says the naked body scanners are safe. Do you really trust their opinion?

On the same note, dump your cellphone because each time you make one of your deeply concerned phone calls about full body screening, you deliver lot's more radiation straight to your brain than any scan possible.

Please provide proof of this.

It's true that there is no lower limit to safe exposure. They teach you that in a college class on radiology. Did you take one of these? I did.

Awesome! great job! What grade did you get? And does that one class make you an expert on the effects of radiation?

Keep in mind...

The same people who are telling us the radiation is the same as 2 minutes of transatlantic flight, are the exact same people setting up the policies that have the TSA (Team Sexual Assault) molesting us.

Just saw on the news... A man was arrested for punching a TSA (Team Sexual Assault) agent after the agent did a little "pat down" action on him.

Since when is it illegal to fight back against someone sexually assaulting you?

I think I am going to start a group to teach the traveling public basic lethal hand to hand combat to be used in the case of attemted sexual assault.

If there is a known threat of being injured and / or killed, a TSA agent might think twice before deciding to grab me franks n beans!

Would anyone take a class like that?
