Mysterious Missile Launch Over California - 11/8/2010

May it was a missle test from out of Vandengburg AFB, in the early 90's they were notorious for test firing missle's without letting anyone know.

Contrails don't happen at such low attitude. It could be a plane with additional rockets for some kind of test, etc.
But, since those who should know what it was are in denial, I think this is obviously some kind of show going on.
Or a mistake.

I don't think it's a jet. This is looking out towards the west, north of Catalina. Jets take off over the ocean that way from LAX but are fairly elevated by that point. It seems they climb to elevation (from my personal experience) quickly so you would not see a jet out there over the horizon just starting to climb. Well, never seen it this way before, anyhow.

Please excuse me if this was already answered (I have skimmed the responses but may have missed it), but has anyone stated where the missile WENT? I must assume that it didn't just vanish into thin air.

The only thing I can think of is nobody has reported these missiles coming down anywhere so there is only two possibilities. Missiles went into the sea, or they were space based weapons launches. They did divulge a few months ago when they launched a robotic space plane, but no other info was given. they have now moved on to covert space plane launches and we know that large rockets can be launched from sea. They have launched satelites for years from a floating platform down near south america.

Most likely, this was the "starting gun" for a "game." Consider the game now commenced. Be wary, for when the giant, invisible elephants dance, the mice should vacate.

In all likelihood, the a good explanation is that TPTB's watches are now synchronized. Keep vigilant for other "signs" and "coincidences" forthcoming. Also, realize that *coincidence* is a glimpse into a pattern otherwise hidden.

We just got a glimpse into a larger, currently veiled "pattern." Something is amiss. The game is afoot. Be ready...

Your Tromso analysis was spot on - a missile test , so I'm perplexed.

Why would the news chopper video this if it were a jet liner. It looks vertical and ballistic to me.

Did I misunderstand?

(and where did this impact, if a missile?)

i am watching foxnews right now they are now talking about it as unexplained missle pentagon is denying everything of course so something is deffently going on they dont want to talk about

Yeah, something that I find strange is that the MSM seems to be trying to get to the bottom of this... usually, if the Pentagon wants something covered up, they will create a story, and the news will report the story the Pentagon feeds them. "Oh, it was a mis-identified plane. Nothing to see here folks." There is nothing like that in the MSM right now (to my knowledge)... it strikes me as odd.

The smoke trail was 35 miles west of LA, over the ocean, not from the Vandenberg AFB.

From the video, it was evidently angled westerly out over the ocean. Orbital missile launches are almost always to the East because it takes less thrust to go to orbit "with" the boost of the Earth's rotation. Westerly launches have to over come that handicap.

Personally, I'm angling toward a show of force for the folks in Asia. Questioin: Can a sub-launched ICMB from off the coast of LA reach any part of Asia? Of course, it wouldn't be allowed to go that far, but the actual distance it did travel would be telling to those possibly on the other end at some point. Aren't sub ICMB millsiles much smaller tha out silo missiles?

What if they say it came from an Iranian Sub?

Looks like a jet contrail to me. A missile gets going quite a bit faster than that.

OK. Maybe it was a Chinese sub that launched a missile (seaward) as a show of force to us. That makes more sense than anything else given the denial from the military. (You know, like they deny UFOs.)
