In the last few mins I have watched the map on the RSOE EDIS (Hungarian Emergency and Disaster Information Service) change significantly with a surge of flags over the US stating various aviation incidents 4 of have just been updated to "Aircraft Accident".

Does anyone have any more sourced information on this?

I have a copy of the image from around 18.30 GMT in case this disappears soon.

sorry i cant give out any more infoormation i just wanted to say . Extinct ... thats a nice picture or link you put up gives a world wide emergancy and distaster information

My cousin is leaving for her honeymoon today and just posted this,

The captain just said we have developed a problem with the anti-skid equipment in the landing gear so we have to head back to Atlanta

Interesting...I'll be keeping my eye on this one!

I clicked on 3 or 4 of the icons for info. One was a small plane and 2 people affected. The others only give the type of plane - not an expert but I think they are small planes, not military. I check this site daily and I will say I haven't seen this many plane icons before. Worth watching!!

Listed for one of the incidents over Massachusetts was an Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt 2

Something odd going on at the moment. 17 Incidents ongoing with 4 of those showing as accidents.

Not sure how far they made it...they were on their way to Jamaica. She posted that about an hour ago.

These are incidents and/or accidents which occurred over the last 4 days, not just today. It gives the date, place, type of aircraft, Nnumber (sometimes partial) and persons affected.

I look at the webiste mentioned daily...and as far back as i can remember there has been the icons of planes over USA....A10 thunderbolt has been on that site for weeks Dont know what its about...never really looked into it futher as it has been there for weeks

EDIT: yea theres lots of plane icons today...but nothing unusual as far as i can see. As mentioned above....theres always multiple reports of aircraft accidents in america on that site....the A10 thunderbold inceident has been on there for many weeks

The aircraft images certainly weren't there all day today, hence me taking a screenshot as it appeared.

However the format of the information presented has changed a little today so the website may have been ungoing some updates/refurb.

Edit: This morning the information for the US was very limited and only had a handful of icons including the "minor" nuclear incident and an "explosion" in another nuclear power plant. The aircraft icons may have been taken down for a while. Whilst this site is useful and quite interesting it is of course capable of scaring the crap out of people that don't follow up and read the full details on each incident. Due diligence people!

Every incident I click on says the affected aircraft is an A-10 Thunderbolt. So... either lots of Warthogs are recently out of warranty or this site's data is messed up.

Anyways... let's hear it for the meanest looking aircraft ever built by man.

There is no description though, and they certainly weren't there yesterday or early this morning. I've been using RSOE as a relatively early warning system along with bouncing around big city police scanners recently. I'll admit the first time I went to the site, the icons freaked me out. This has me stumped though. I really want to know what this was all about.

If you zoom in, it shows 4 accidents with one reporting 2 accidents still. No explanation given from the FAA either.

You'd think if this was just a glitch, they'd fix it asap. They almost post in real time, so you would assume the events would be easy to take down.

No, I've had no need for another system, RSOE pretty much takes care of it all. From big car accidents to volcanoes and earthquakes. If this turns out to be a glitch though, I'll get back to you. No need to use a system that glitches this bad. I'm going to see if I can listen into the tower feeds from one of the airports listed.
