I appreciate your replies, thanks. 've I become increasingly trusting of that feeling that 'something just doesn't add up here'. I am learning that it usually serves me well. I may be wrong, but for me the info in the OP doesn't add up!

I once read that when something doesn't quite add up, and you keep being left with a kind of confused feeling, it means you might well be being manipulated. That's another little guideline I find helpful in trying to navigate this sea of infi, misinfo, disinfo, lies, truth, etc.

We'll see what happens!

I have to agree with SO and other members here that there are two different events. The one in Phoenix at about 5:30 and the California one at about 7:20

I also want to say I thought it wrong that Gazrok closed the other thread about the deep quake because a few members said it was nothing and one was quite rude IMO. We weren't as members givien our rights to communicate with one another on the subject because a few thought they were right.

I think it is the same with this thread how some are saying this is California and making it sound like this is the right answer when the timimg is clearly off and the pictures look nothing similiar.

I think we need to do in this thread what we were doing in the other thread and that was work together by gathering pictures and observing unusual things.

ATS members if working together might one day be able to solve things with their observations in there areas we are finally starting to work together only to be cut off by a few.

Also, as someone who lives within 40 miles of VAFB, i can tell you from what SO said, I've never seen any launch escalate that fast in 20 seconds(based on the time frame given)

I know everyone thinks they are experts about things because they live close to them (Sarah Palin...Russia?). But the most logical explaination here is that it is a contrail from an airplane being reflected in the setting sun. It's an odd angle for a contrail to be seen at...thus appearing to be "launched" from the ground, when it is really just coming over the horizon.

You can "take note" of me all you want. I will look at things logically first...and if it can't be explained by that...then I will start to entertain a conspiracy theory about it.

I did not read all 13 pages of this post so I may be repeating someone else,but this is BS.there is noway you could contain the world news media for not reporting a nuclar ploom that could be seen from100'S of miles.

This is just like all the doom for today and the rest of the week.ATS is becomeing just like the junk websites all over the internet with its THIS IS THE DAY,THIS IS THE END BS now most everyday.

For what it is worth, I lived next to the Space Center in FL for about 25 years and they were ALWAYS shooting things up unannounced. I remember many times going to work and looking at a plume and thinking "Hrmmm. I wonder what they shot up today?"

From my history looking at rocket plumes, I feel comfortable saying that what is in the pics is a rocket - NOT a jet contrail.

So, along with a few others here I'm wondering where the OP is?

He's obviously been back to change the title, but no more posts.

Someone should make a new thread to discuss the two launches, and hang this one because if the OP can't be arsed with his own thread then why should we be?

Actually the very same thought as the previous poster came to me earlier in this thread.

It is almost as if all the world leaders are gathering and trying to outdo each other to make themselves look great and powerful to the "visitors" That would also be why so much military might is accompanying Obama on this trip.

If you can accept that an alien presence is a strong possiblility, then so could this scenario. I am not saying for sure this is it, but it is within the realm of possibility. Connecting this with India, home of the uniquely peaceful Budha, has some interesting implications.

We'll know soon enough.

There is a law out there that if anyone causes a panic or makes a false alarm they could be fined, or Jailed. So becareful of what you post and if it proves to be false you could be in very, very big trouble.

Because I have heard they are tracking down on these kind of people, and its not pretty.

Does that same law apply to people who cause panic in relation to that law?

I agree. The behavior of some posters is just plain childish at best. You don’t have to respect the person, but you should respect their right not only to speak their mind, but to not be attacked for it.

Just a local comment. I live at 101 and FLW but yesterday afternoon was in the White Tank Mtns. in the west valley. I was riding Ford Canyon Trail then back around west and south towards ramada 7 and the Mesquite trailhead. Now that Ive established that Im actually a local instead of random bs on the net.. this "launch" was west of the white tanks... Ill let you do the geography lesson. This happens a couple times a year (launches from California) and every time people freak out. Not everything that goes into space comes from Florida.

I live in the valley as well, missed this one. We do see alot of smoke plumes from missile tests in the Pacific, but I don't know if that's what this was. They also do alot of weapon tests on the Barry Goldwater range, between here and San Diego....

You don't suppose some nuclear material went missing in India a while back and there has been some information about the possibility of a nuclear attack on the U.S. this weekend do you? Perhaps the fire balls seen were sats shot down. Perhaps the plumes were some type of defence system. Lots of wild theory's one can come up with. With 34 ships in that area could it be they are safeguarding against a missle launch from that area?

I live in montana and about the same time I saw the same looking smoke plume in the sky, I observed it for several moments noticing around the edges of this smoke plume the colors light green and a pinkish color....does this have any significant value towards the missile theory? peace

The rocket isn't taking a turn it's a result of different wind direction at different altitudes in relation to your view perspective.

Dominion Virginia Power has notified federal authorities about the discovery of low levels of radioactive groundwater at the utility's North Anna nuclear power station in Louisa County. A recent groundwater monitoring sample point at the plant recorded a level of 16,500 picoCuries of tritium per liter, according to a report that Dominion filed Friday with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Normal tritrium levels at the particular sample point are 4,000 picoCuries per liter or less. Tritium, the radioactive isotope of hydrogen, is produced in nuclear reactors. Dominion, which has two reactors at the North Anna site, about 45 miles northwest of Richmond, said the elevated tritium levels were found at just one monitoring site. None of the eight groundwater monitoring sample points surrounding the station showed any detectable levels of tritium, and there was no indication the tritium has migrated to Lake Anna or nearby drinking water sources, the utility said. The federal reporting threshold for tritium levels is 20,000 picoCuries per liter. The NRC said Dominion also was voluntarily notifying state and local agencies about the elevated water levels. Dominon spokesman Richard Zuercher said the utility is continuing to search for the cause of the elevated tritium levels, which he said do not present a health hazard to employees or the public. Zuercher said the elevated levels were first discovered in April at a monitoring site near Unit 1. "It was elevated but it was not high," he said, adding that subsequent testing showed a return to normal levels. When a sample taken in early October showed the 16,500 picoCuries reading, the utility notfied federal, state and local officials, Zuercher said, adding that a followup reading has indicated a return once again to typical levels. The utility has found no unusual tritium levels at two other danger level is 2 i guess
