Hi Guys,

First off, I want to hear from those who subscribe to the notion that there is psychic energy and an ability to sense this energy, and also those who might have links and relevant info.

Today (11-4-2010) I started feeling this strange energy come over me. Best way to describe it, it feels like we are on the cusp of something big, global, monumental. I feel like this energy is manifesting itself on both a macro level (politic, world, financial) and micro level (workplace, home life, family). I know there is a prophecy for this week coming up, but i want to hear from those who share this feeling, and those who might be able to triangulate and provide links to astrological alignments, webbot stuff, and other info that would be interesting to connect the dots with.

Skeptics, you are also welcome to this groovy little shindig of a post, so please all, lets get this party started!

Well then, to get it started...

I started feeling this strange energy come over me. Best way to describe it, it feels like we are on the cusp of something big, global, monumental.

It seems like you felt different one day, as people normally do every so often, and connected it to what you think is going to happen, which is trying to argue that correlation means causation, which isn't a good way to get this started.

Also, there is no evidence of any sort of "powers" that can't be explained rationally with a healthy dose of skepticism. I await the many posts from psychics and the other silly names out there making junk claims, possibly backed by pseudoscience.

For the past year or so, it's been building. Then last month it reached a peak. But I'm all good with it. Whatever happens. It's the way it was meant to be. The big Cosmic plan. The Divine. It's all good. Relax and just go with the flow. Don't hold on to a tree limb on the river bank. Paddle out to the center ot the river and then just let the current carry you home. Sit back. Breathe the clean air. Feel the sunshine on your face. Feel the warm breeze on your back. We're goin home. Think only good thoughts. Imagine what you want the next dream to be. For as you think it,feel it, so shall it be. Aim very, very high. Because that is where you shall be.reply to post by Terces_Pot_Evoba

Many people have been feeling the changes for a few years by now. And yes there is some major changes approaching us, which will impact heavily on our way of life.

To the science only buffs who look down their noses on those who Feel Energy and manipulate it, I would direct you to some excellent YT videos of Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje showing exactly how to manipulate the energy, while hardly touching a person who they are controlling.

And yes I understand this appears to violate the known laws of physics, so is most often thought to be trickery by those immersed in the scientific view only.

I admire your reply, and acknowledge your reasoning.

I must ask you, do you hold any faith or beliefs in a god or creator of some form?

Have you ever, at any point in your life, believed in anything that your 5 senses and reason could not rationalize?

That energy is people finally seeing the world around them and realizing how little they know.

I think the Christians call it revelations, ie things are being revealed. No, not the end of the world. Just the start of a new one.

Couple that with the seasonal changes and you have that weird feeling you're talking about.

I started feeling strange about three weeks ago. I thought I died and didn't realize it. Maybe I did? Then after some medication and meditation, I realized it was just what I posted above.

Nothing to be worried about. Everything has already happened anyways so there is nothing anyone can do to stop "IT".

For me, its a bit overwhelming too. I too have started feeling this energy a few years back, and it often comes in waves, like today, which hit like a bus. I have generally learned to embrace it and go with the flow, and acknowledge the presence of this energy.

I lack the belief that some "creator" made everything as it has nothing but blind faith to support itself.

Have you ever, at any point in your life, believed in anything that your 5 senses and reason could not rationalize?

Not that that I can recall of the top of my head, but if I did have some experience, that for whatever reason was completely unexplained, I'd label it as "unexplained" and move on, which ironically is the rational response to not knowing. Not knowing implies that you don't know. Filling in the unknown with what you believe is not any more of an explanation than making an equally absurd guess at what it is.

As for this psychic business, I'd like to direct any people that think they have unexplainable powers and such to the Randi Challenge

At JREF, we offer a one-million-dollar prize to anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event.

I'd imagine lump sum, check their bank statement or send them a question about it. You have to pass the challenge though...

no, you choose to be rational and use only your logical mind, you dismiss anomaly as just that, and love as only chemical responses to biological stimuli, when you are dead, there is nothing more... right?

i don't mean to put words in your mouth there, but i think you just did that for HUMBLEONE.

i still respect your perception, and appreciate the input, i think you are just not understanding where a person like me or HUBLEONE are coming from.

one last thing... what makes life fulfilling or 'worth it' for you to wake up in the morning without any beliefs? what drives you do have morals aside from it being a social norm... do you have morals? do you agree with morality? please enlighten, and thanks again... huge learning experience

The mind is a powerful thing. You'd be suprised what it is capable of doing. There have been times I have been so nauseous and I would sit almost meditating, clearing my mind and breathing. I would tell myself over and over again that im not sick and im feeling fine almost believeing it and I swear it would go away and I would feel great! Then it would come back again once i thought about it lol I remember going into a haunted house and i was so scared from the noises I swear i felt presence everywhere and it made me sick. Seriously though, if you didn't read about any pedictions or doom and gloom, conspiracy's, you wouldnt be having this "weird" feeling. I cant rule it out though, we are all connected to eachother and the universe. Energy is everything. People get dreams that come true (I am one of them, but they are usually small dumb stuff) You will just have to listen to what your body is telling you, not your brain..I think people get those two mixed up.

you are quite right, and i totally agree.. could just be what my mind is reverberating from outside influences... although i must say that often, these feelings come about and prompt me to inquire just like i have today, so it is still a mystery for me, but my faith tells me to stay strong and just ride the wave. the mind is really an amazing thing, and the connectedness we are all experiencing with technology seems to really overdrive this.

One thing to consider might be the time of year and the season depending on where you live.

As I get older, the sense of dread as the sun goes away, what some call S.A.D. (seasonal effective disorder), only increases, as I seem to be more and more sensitive to sunlight and to light in general (which DOES have to do with my waking up a bit by doing brainave meditation, superfood alchemy, etc.). Thus, as the sun fades further and further away on the horizon as we approach winter solstice, this could be accompanied by influxes of energy, as a type of compensation, to re-annimate the organism in the face of change, even transformation, yet tied to the seasons. I don't know just a thought.. but it CAN make you really jumpy and give you a sense of forboding or imminent but inexplicable "change" lurking somewhere just over the horizon, if we can just "hang on".. there's a death fear there, and the hope for resurrection of "the light". Everything about us USED to be tied directly to it, and to the motions of the stars and planets. So now it comes in "waves" and "feelings" we can't quite put our finger on.. and it IS "cosmic".

you dismiss anomaly as just that

Well, to a point. I just don't go around making claims about something that is basically currently unexplained, I wait and see what new information can be learned about it, then reasonably make assumptions on what's more likely.

For example, I take a picture of a cloud with a camera and notice what seems to be something flying by that I cannot name. I'd make the assumption that it likely was obscured by the speed at which it was moving, making it difficult to identify, making it unexplained. This doesn't mean unexplainable however, and I cannot go around making claims that it is something such as a UFO.

tl;dr - skepticism and reason

i still respect your perception, and appreciate the input, i think you are just not understanding where a person like me or HUBLEONE are coming from.

Well I do to a point. I understand the feeling of having something that seems so odd or too coincidental to happen by chance, such as praying for something to happen, only have it literally happen. However correlation does not mean causation, and remain skeptical about any claims that are against "mainstream" methodology of how things work.

what makes life fulfilling or 'worth it' for you to wake up in the morning without any beliefs?

Well, not to put words into your mouth here, but I'd assume you're getting at the argument against atheists about faith based beliefs being used in the sense of the quoted question, and in my opinion, not a great comparison.

I'd have to say there is a difference in using the faith based belief that something is correct and using the faith based belief that life is worth living etc.

what drives you do have morals aside from it being a social norm

And again not to put words in your mouth here, but the "morality cannot exist without god" idea isn't a great point if that's what you're getting at. I'll just give a basic answer here I guess, morals are determined by what you think is right, which pretty much everyone has, and are also discussed in fields like philosophy or just in round table discussions which help weigh controversial decisions. And yes I have morals

do you agree with morality?

Not sure I understand the question here, but I'll take a stab at it here, I think morals are subjective. and that right and wrong are not predetermined.

please enlighten, and thanks again... huge learning experience

Hopefully that wasn't sarcasm

Regardless, I successfully procrastinated.
