No doubt. I was very skeptical until Oct. 23rd. I use to think that with all the modern video recording devices out there and lack of conclusive video evidence, bigfoot couldn't exist. I didn't even once think about taking out my camera. I just wanted to get out of there fast.

OH! OH OH OH!

DO TELL MORE!

Please, that is...

You wanted to 'get out of there fast' - this is something I'd love to hear more about! PRONTO! lol

peace

Okay well... It was sometime between 7:00 and 7:15am and overcast but had just stopped raining. I was hunting in Southern Oregon. I was about a half a mile from where I parked my vehicle walking on an ATV trail. It was still mostly dark and I had my flashlight in my hand but turned off. I was trying to be quiet as possible while walking quickly because I wanted to make good time to a favorite clearing without spooking any deer that may be in the area.

As I was walking, I saw a very large animal walking upright in front of me across the trail at about 10-15 yards. It didn't appear to be running but expanded the distance of about 15-20 feet in two strides from left to right of the trail. It did so with little noise that I can remember.

I instantly froze and clicked on the flashlight. What I saw made my hair stand on end. I saw a large muscular dark fur covered animal that looked to be about 7 - 7 1/2 feet tall. I guess it would be around 500 lbs. I have seen a few bears and I know positively that it was not a bear. It was maybe 20 yards away from me by then, quartering away and moving quickly down the hillside and into the trees. The entire encounter lasted just a few seconds and it moved around 50 yards that time. I don't believe it looked back at me so I don't know what it's face looked like. I was fixated on it's body.

It never made any threatening movements toward me but I had never been that scared in my life. I quickly turned around and quickly walked back to my vehicle and left.

That is one of the coolest recounts I've ever heard, if not the coolest!
And in Oregon no less! WOOOHOO! (Maybe 'Squatches' like steel head)...

Anyway, I have to ask - did it give you a feeling like nothing you ever felt before? (I think it did is why I ask).

I mean, being a hunter myself and after spending thousands of hours in the 'green' I've run across a few 'things' that just didn't 'sit right' - like I knew nature was involved, but, something 'more' was involved also. I wont go into details now but if you get what I'm poking at you'll know what I mean. Just that something is 'off' (not necessarily in a bad way)...

Than and what did you smell? Do you remember? Was there any odor?

THANK YOU so much for sharing!

peace

If you mean like when you are walking in the forest and you get that feeling like something is watching you and your senses get heightened then it was like that but more so. I also had my 30.06 unslung and safety off and I kept looking over my shoulder the whole way back and the feeling didn't go away until I made it back to the main road.

I don't remember smelling anything before or after. The rain kind of kills smells usually though and I think I was walking away from the wind at the time.

Yes thank you very much for the reply and the personal story. This is why I like the Crytpid forum so much. There are not many skeptics or debunkers lurking around the shadows to kill the buzz created here.

Not that I am not a debunker myself, because I am. If I see a guy in a ghillie suit or a black bear, I will call it like it is, but at the same time I love suspending disbelief and being a believer.

I am on the east coast not so much in Bigfoot's backyard. I am more likely to see the Jersey Devil here in the Pine Barrens, but thats something else entirely.

I've seen this video before, but as I sat here staring at it and watching it I noticed something unusual. At about :28 when this creature sways back behind the trees, it appears as if something is "popping up" on its shoulder. I can't tell if it's an illusion created by the branch/leaves in front, if something is on its back, or if the video just looks weird that way. Perhaps more people could offer their opinion on this?

I vaguely remember this case on cryptomundo a few months ago and have managed to find the links.
This video footage is certainly not well regarded and is just called a blobsquatsch by Loren Coleman.

Read the original cryptomundo article HERE

Read Loren Coleman's views HERE and be sure to check out the photo (it'll make you laugh)

I do agree will Loren's thoughts on this as not being very creditable.I honestly can only see a blob and unfortunately it is not proof. But one day i hope bigfoot does get a formal zoolological classification and is proven (without a doubt) to exist

S&F for the thread OP

well it seems my home state of NC
is home to quite a few Bigfoot sightings
recently. I have never seen one myself
but I wouldn't rule out they do exist.

Here is the video of the Fox report.
I don't know how can you trust a former chief of fraud investigation!

I've read hundreds or more reports. I've seen all the images and documentaries. I done all the study and even went in the filed once in the mountains high above Fresno deep into a national forest. Count me a 100% believer and I think this is one of the few genuine images out there.

I have studied the popping up thing, as I have noticed it in many BF images, especially in the "Memorial Day" footage. My belief? I belive these are infant or toddler squatches who ride the back and shoulders of their mothers, just like children of other higher primates.

Pretty intense. I love how it looks so natural. When it stood up, I would have called it to be a bear, but you can just tell by the way it moves that it isnt a bear at all. Probably a baby squatch on its shoulder
Pretty awesome I must say

I totally can side with you on the get outta here feeling. I used to live in a very very rual part of north carolina almost in danville virgina. One day I was home alone we lived on about 80 acres of forest with a river and I went out riding my 4 wheeler. I got out in the woods playing around the creek and I got this feeling. Like something was watching me, I didnt see anything but it weirded me out so bad that I nailed it to get back into the clearing and home I looked back and BAM one of those trees acted like a jousting knight and knocked me right off my 4 wheeler. I didnt stick around I hauled it and then went to the er to get 18 stitches in my head ...
SO I can def account for those feelings LOL!

That was an amazing video.

Imagine if they are as intelligent as humans but also have animal instincts and senses.

maybe thats why they have escaped our view for so long.

Thanks for the great post, Amazing !!

Peace

He's no Hunter or he would know what that is. Don't send him any money
Watch the video again with this in mind. A Black Bear on the ground gets up on all fours, walks around a tree, stands up using a tree in front as leverage and then enjoys a nice back scratch then takes a couple of steps and then goes back on all fours.

Can't prove it but I'm probably right. The shape is right, the motions the animal makes are right and when it goes back on all fours the shape of its rear is right. Bear.

I'll have to disagree. First, why would a bear quick reach for a candy bar and then duck down behind cover again? This activity does not seem like bear activity to me. Secondly, when it is standing up and you say it is probably a bear rubbing it's back on a tree, you can clearly see an upright humanoid shape at :15, :16, away from the trees. It looks to me like this creature is facing towards the camera due to the way the arm/shoulder/elbow look in :26 to :28. You can distinctly see the arm and elbow. It also seems that it would be swaying too much to be simply rubbing it's back on a tree; the motions expressed here don't seem to fit the motion involved with rubbing on a tree. I've seen in some witness reports that this particular swaying motion from behind a tree is sometimes encountered, so it isn't necessarily a bear just because it looks like it is doing something that bears do.
Also to add: I've just watched some videos of bears scratching on trees for comparison and imo, the shape is WAY off.
Your thoughts?

Nice story, I think we have more than our fair share of sightings in Oregon.

My dad had a sighting with details very similar to yours where he happened to run across it hunting up at our property, saw it walking from a distance and it apparently really scared him. He is an extremely competent outdoorsman that lived off the grid for over 10 years so he has seen everything those woods can throw at him but he wont even talk about it unless you get a few whiskeys in him

I've never seen it myself but I did have an experience where I think I heard it for whatever that is worth.

I had said once that I've seen a few bears and cougars before and they didn't scare me. I was aware of what they were capable of but I respected them. What I saw, however, invoked a primal fear. It was something else entirely.

That really rings true to what my dad has said because the thing wasn't moving toward him or acting threatening in any way but for some reason just being around it was a deeply terrifying event for him.

Excellent thread OP
S+F for you

The footage does look very compelling
is there any way to judge hieght or width by taking measurements of the picnic box?
I honetly dont know what it is but im leaning towards real bigfoot by its movements

I would also like to say that the 3 other witness accounts in this thread are amazing and some of the best i have heard!
Gives me chills just reading them!
